A pickled cucumber (commonly known as a pickle in the United States and Canada or generically as gherkins in the United Kingdom) is a cucumber that has been pickled in a brine, vinegar, or other solution and left to ferment for a period of time, by either immersing the cucumbers in an acidic solution or through souring by lacto-fermentation.
Types
Gherkin
A gherkin is a variety of cucumber: the West Indian or burr gherkin (Cucumis anguria), which produces a somewhat smaller fruit than the garden cucumber (Cucumis sativus). Gherkins are cooked, eaten raw, or used as pickles. Gherkins are usually picked when 4 to 8cm (1 to 3 in) in length and pickled in jars or cans with vinegar (often flavoured with herbs, particularly dill; hence, "dill pickle") or brine.
Cornichon
Cornichons are tart French pickles made from small gherkins pickled in vinegar and tarragon. They traditionally accompany pâtés.
Brined pickles
Brined pickles are prepared using the traditional process of natural fermentation in a brine which makes them grow sour. The brine concentration can vary between 20g/litre to more than 40g/litre of salt. There is no vinegar used in the brine of naturally fermented pickled cucumbers.

-15 mini cucumbers- Bunch of dill
- 3-4 bay leaves
- 4-5 garlic cloves
- A few black pepper seeds (or allspice)
- 1 & 1/2 tbsp of salt
- 1/2 tbsp sugar- 1 liter of water
Sterilize a jar (I did it by pouring boiling water in it). Place all the ingredients apart from the salt, sugar, and water.In a different jar place 1 liter of boiling water, salt and sugar and stir well. Pour the water with the salt and sugar to the pickles jar and keep it at room temperature for 3 hours. Then place in the fridge for 2-3 days, Bon appetite!

Hello everyone, Today I show how to make Pickled Cucumbers easily and quickly. Pickled Cucumber tastes slightly salty and strong sour. This recipe is a secret way that the added the rice to make cucumbers become pickled cucumbers faster.
▶ Ingredients :
● 1kg, Cucumbers
● 1l, Water
● 1tbsp, Rice
● 2tbsp, Salt
▶ Method :
1. Use a sharp knife to trim off the cucumber both ends.
2. Fit the cucumbers into a jar.
3. Making the pickle brine. Add the water, rice and salt.
4. Stir until the salt dissolves. Bring it to a full boil, 20 minutes.
5. Let sit the pickle brine to warm.
6. Pour the pickle brine over the cucumbers.
7. Leave the pickled cucumbers in the temperature room, 3 to 5 days.
8. The pickled cucumbers taste slightly salty and strong sour.

A pickled cucumber (commonly known as a pickle in the United States and Canada or generically as gherkins in the United Kingdom) is a cucumber that has been pickled in a brine, vinegar, or other solution and left to ferment for a period of time, by either immersing the cucumbers in an acidic solution or through souring by lacto-fermentation.
Types
Gherkin
A gherkin is a variety of cucumber: the West Indian or burr gherkin (Cucumis anguria), which produces a somewhat smaller fruit than the garden cucumber (Cucumis sativus). Gherkins are cooked, eaten raw, or used as pickles. Gherkins are usually picked when 4 to 8cm (1 to 3 in) in length and pickled in jars or cans with vinegar (often flavoured with herbs, particularly dill; hence, "dill pickle") or brine.
Cornichon
Cornichons are tart French pickles made from small gherkins pickled in vinegar and tarragon. They traditionally accompany pâtés.
Brined pickles
Brined pickles are prepared using the traditional process of natural fermentation in a brine which makes them grow sour. The brine concentration can vary between 20g/litre to more than 40g/litre of salt. There is no vinegar used in the brine of naturally fermented pickled cucumbers.
