Jeter was born in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee on August 26, 1952. His mother, Virginia (née Raines; May 6, 1927), was a housewife. His father, William Claud Jeter (March 10, 1922 – March 1, 2010), was a dentist. Jeter had one brother, William, and four sisters, Virginia, Amanda, Emily, and Larie. Jeter was a student at Memphis State University (now the University of Memphis) when his interests changed from medicine to acting. He performed in several plays and musicals at the Circuit Theatre and its sister theatre, the Playhouse on the Square, in midtown Memphis. He left Memphis to further pursue his stage career in Baltimore, Maryland.
The lyrics of the song are often changed depending on the recording artist. In its original form it is a humorous romantic duet, though rarely has it been recorded that way. Certain lyrics, especially those with topical references, are often changed based on the time of the performance's release. For example, the line "Franklin Roosevelt's looks give me a thrill" was changed to "James Durante's looks" in a fifties recording by Sinatra, though he did sing it in its original form with Dorsey back in the forties.
"How About You" is the third single released from American post-grunge band Staind. The song was released on December 23, 2003, from the band's fourth album 14 Shades Of Grey. The song reached #10 on Billboard's Modern Rock and Mainstream Rock charts.

I like New York in June, how about you? I like a Gershwin tune, how about you? I love a fireside when a storm is due. I like potato chips, moonlight motor trips, how about you? I'm mad about good books, can't get my fill And Franklin Roosevelt's looks give me a thrill Holding hands in the movie show, when all the lights are
