The Last Viking King's Buried Lover Exposed!
#shorts #mother #woman #Sven Estridsen #pillar
Sven Estridsen, the last Viking king of Denmark, was supposedly buried next to his mother. But new evidence from a 2007 study suggests that the woman in the pillar next to him wasn't his mother after all. She was probably one of his daughters-in-law, both of whom were named Estrid and became queens of Denmark. So who's buried next to the last Viking king? We may never know for sure.

The history of Denmark can be traced back to the ancient times when the region was inhabited by various tribes. However, the recorded history of Denmark begins with the arrival of the Viking Age, which lasted from the 8th to the 11th centuries.
During the Viking Age, Danish Vikings, along with the Norse from Norway and Sweden, embarked on numerous expeditions, raids, and trades, expanding their territories across Europe. They established settlements and trading posts, including the notorious Viking city of Hedeby, which was one of the largest settlements of its time and played a crucial role in the Viking trade network.
In the 10th century, Denmark became a unified kingdom under the rule of Harald Bluetooth, who converted to Christianity and introduced Christianity to the Danish people. The reign of his son, Sweyn Forkbeard, expanded Denmark's influence further, as he invaded England and briefly established Danish rule over the country.
Following the Viking Age, Denmark experienced a period of consolidation and centralization under the House of Estridsen. The reign of Valdemar the Great (1154–1182) marked the height of Denmark's power and influence. He strengthened the Danish monarchy and expanded Danish territories, reaching as far as Estonia and parts of Sweden.
However, the following centuries were marked by varying degrees of conflict and instability. Denmark faced territorial disputes, wars, and power struggles with neighboring countries, particularly Sweden and Norway. The Kalmar Union, established in 1397, brought Denmark, Norway, and Sweden under a single monarch, but tensions within the union eventually led to its dissolution in the 16th century.
During the early modern period, Denmark experienced a devastating defeat in the Northern Seven Years' War (1563-1570), which resulted in the loss of a significant portion of Danish territory to Sweden. In the 17th and 18th centuries, Denmark focused on consolidating its power domestically, transforming itself into a constitutional monarchy.
In the 19th century, Denmark underwent a process of modernization and industrialization. It was also a period characterized by struggles for national identity and territory, particularly in relation to the German-speaking regions of Schleswig and Holstein. The Second Schleswig War in 1864 resulted in the loss of the territories to Prussia.
In the early 20th century, Denmark remained neutral during World War I but experienced economic hardships. During World War II, Denmark was occupied by Nazi Germany but managed to mostly maintain its internal affairs and protect its Jewish population.
After the war, Denmark focused on rebuilding and establishing its welfare state. It became a member of NATO in 1949 and the European Union in 1973. Denmark has since been recognized for its high standard of living, social welfare system, and progressive policies.
Today, Denmark is a constitutional monarchy with a parliamentary system. It has a strong economy, renowned for its welfare state, green energy initiatives, and quality of life.

• Befestigungsanlagen: Harald Blauzahn ließ an strategisch wichtigen
gegen seinen Sohn Sven Gabelbart.

• Befestigungsanlagen: Harald Blauzahn ließ an strategisch wichtigen
gegen seinen Sohn Sven Gabelbart.
