Billy Dukes of Taste of Country gave the song four stars out of five, saying that "Perhaps the generic production could be a point of criticism, but for a debut single it’s best to keep it short and sweet"
Tyler Lynn Farr (born February 5, 1984) is an American country music singer and songwriter. He is signed to Columbia Records, and has released seven singles.
Biography
Farr grew up in Garden City, Missouri, attending Missouri State University, studying voice.
Farr co-wrote the songs "Hey Y'all" for Colt Ford and "She's Just Like That" for Joe Nichols. In early 2012, Farr released his debut single, "Hot Mess", which he co-wrote with Rhett Akins. Billy Dukes of Taste of Country gave the song four stars out of five, calling Farr's voice "unique, but not distracting." Following the merger of his original label, BNA Records, Farr moved to Columbia Nashville to release his second single, "Hello Goodbye". His third single, "Redneck Crazy", became his first Top 10 hit in 2013. After it came the top 3 hit "Whiskey in My Water". All four singles were included on his debut album, Redneck Crazy, released on September 30, 2013.
Farr led off his second album in mid-2014 with "A Guy Walks Into a Bar". The album, Suffer in Peace, was released on April 28, 2015, and in May 2015, "A Guy Walks Into a Bar" became Farr's first Number One country hit. The album's second single, "Withdrawals" released to country radio on June 15, 2015. It had only reached number 52 on the Country Airplay chart before it was pulled from radio and "Better in Boots" was issued as a third single on August 17, 2015. The decision to change the single was made in order to give Farr an up-tempo, "female friendly" song that he could sing live, according to Steve Hodges of Sony Nashville.
An advance review by James Montgomery of MTV stated this was their most brilliant album. Michael Menachem of Billboard fell in favor of the album, saying "If you don't finish this party record a hot mess, then you probably didn't have a good time." Tim Sendra of AllMusic called Hot Mess "a complete success and shows that the band could possibly grow past the comedy and become something else entirely." Daniel Brockman of The Phoenix gave a generally positive review, stating, "Only a music fan obsessed with the rules of authenticity and the requirements for lyrical profundity could find fault with the 11 odes to overload that make up Hot Mess." Mikael Wood of Spin raved that "Hot Mess is flush with other stupid-smart highlights, including 'Pete Wentz Is the Only Reason We're Famous."Rolling Stone's Christian Hoard said that "Sometimes the former Midtown singer's snark falls flat, as with the title 'Pete Wentz Is the Only Reason We're Famous' or the part where the singer brags about his ass. But Saporta does have some pop gifts, apparent on the disco 'Living in the Sky with Diamonds.'" Edna Gundersen of USA Today gave the album three stars out of four and stated: "While unquestionably accessible, Cobra's retro, overly flashy Swedish-leaning pop isn't for everyone. It's daft, it's dorky, it's discofied, but it's also deliciously fun and kitschy."
Guilty Pleasure is the second studio album by American recording artist Ashley Tisdale. It was released on June 11, 2009, by Warner Bros. Records. The lead single from the album, "It's Alright, It's OK", premiered on On Air with Ryan Seacrest and was officially released on April 14, 2009. The album debuted at number 12 on Billboard 200 selling 25,000 copies in its first week. The second single from Guilty Pleasure, "Crank It Up" was released on October 16, 2009, in Europe.
Background and release
In April 2008, she said that she has recorded a few songs for the album and she would fully focus on the album after filming High School Musical 3. Tisdale has noted that the songs in the album have a message and a story that anyone can relate to, and hoped to reveal her "edgier" side with more mature songs. She also said the album was titled Guilty Pleasure because of her guilty pleasures. Tisdale was involved in every aspect of the album's production. Tisdale's music inspirations for the album include Katy Perry and Pat Benatar. The song "Switch" is also featured in the motion picture Aliens in the Attic.

The Lyrics Are As Followed:
Clothes scattered across the bedroom floor
Soaking wet towel hanging on the door
Looks like a hurricane just came through
Her makeup covers up
Every inch of the counter top
She's slappin' on a little bit of strawberry lip gloss
She's ready to rock
She's my hot mess, in a sundress
Got my heart beating out of my chest
Country girl come to town looking like a rock star
She's got hazel eyes and a wild side
Lightin' up the room with her smokey little smile
Burnin' up and down, turning them heads
She's my little hot mess.
When she gets to dancin' to the band,
Them shoes gonna wind up in her hand,
Barefoot and groovin' like nobody's watchin'
She gonna cut up and drink a little,
Play them boys like a b...
