Mills was born in Brooklyn or Queens, New York City. (sources differ). As a child, she sang gospel music at Brooklyn's Cornerstone Baptist Church, and began her career at age 9, appearing in the BroadwaymusicalMaggie Flynn. After winning Amateur Night at the Apollo Theater six weeks straight at age 11, she went on to become the opening act for the Isley Brothers.
Stephanie Mills was a character on the 1970s American television situation comedyAll in the Family and the follow-up series, Archie Bunker's Place. She was portrayed by child actress Danielle Brisebois, who joined All in the Family in 1978. Brisebois continued in the role until Archie Bunker's Place ended its run in 1983. She was born around 1969.
Character background
Stephanie was introduced in the All in the Family's ninth-season premiere as the 9-year-old niece of Archie and Edith Bunker (although she was actually the daughter of Edith's step-cousin). Stephanie was abandoned at the doorstep of the Bunkers' home by her father Floyd Mills, a chronic alcoholic. Floyd was Edith's step-cousin from her aunt's second marriage. Stephanie's mother — Floyd's wife, Marilyn — had died some time earlier in a car accident.
Edith is more than delighted to take in Stephanie, but Archie is decidedly less so, especially since he was finally looking forward to some peace and quiet after his daughter and son-in-law, Gloria and Mike "Meathead" Stivic moved to California. Eventually, Stephanie wins over Archie and he grows to love her as his own daughter. She also appeared to hold liberal views in contrast with the conservative Archie. Shortly after moving in with the Bunkers, Stephanie reveals herself to be Jewish, something that at first upsets Archie. While he learns to live with Stephanie's religious beliefs, Archie was not stopped from making his usual bigoted remarks against Judaism from time to time. She eventually becomes a member of the Temple Beth Shalom.
The following is a list of characters that first appeared in the ITVsoap operaCoronation Street in 2002, by order of first appearance.
Hazel Wilding
Hazel Wilding first appears on 23 January 2002 when cab driver Vikram Desai picks up her from an upmarket suburb. Immediately Hazel flirts heavily with Vikram and she then requests his services more frequently. It is not long before Hazel seduces Vikram at a hotel wearing lingerie and bearing a bottle of Champagne. In February 2002, Vikram is shocked to discover that Hazel is married and feels that things between them have become too complicated. He then keeps a distance from her by sending other drivers when she requests his cab.
It is not long before Vikram resumes his secret affair with Hazel as she gives him a gold bracelet for his birthday and he dumps girlfriend Bobbi Lewis for Hazel. When Les Battersby comes to collect Hazel one day, he is very suggestive and she slaps him. She demands to know what Vikram has told his staff at the office about her. Vikram is livid with Les and confides in his cousin Dev Alahan that he has fallen in love with Hazel. When Hazel's husband John discovers the affair, he threatens Vikram to stay away from his wife. Hazel later makes it clear to Vikram that she will not leave John for him, and after several threats from John, Hazel tells Vikram that she was in on his plan all along.

Home - Stephanie Mills - 1989
As a 15 year old, Stephanie Mills was cast as Dorothy in the black Broadway production of The Wizard Of Oz, titled, The Wiz. The Wiz ran for five years from 1975 through 1980. Included as an album track on Mills' 1989 LP, titled, Home, Mills' rendition of the song, Home, years after its Broadway run, was a tribute to the shows producer, Ken Harper and the songs writer, Charlie Smalls, both of whom had passed away in the interim. Mills had stopped performing Home in her live shows because she grew tired of it but audiences kept requesting her to sing it. She decided to update the song just a bit and re-record a version in 1989. It became a #1 hit on the Billboard chart, week of 11/25/89.

This is the first of the three recording that Stephanie Mills has done of "Home". This version is from her debut album, 'movin in the right direction.' I have cleaned up the sound and made it bit brighter from a mint vinyl copy. Please enjoy, like, comment, and share.
