A post office called Hinckley has been in operation since 1825. The community has the name of Judge Samuel Hinckley, a land speculator from Massachusetts. A variant name was Hinckey Center.
Hinckley has a history going back to Anglo-Saxon times; the name Hinckley is Anglo Saxon: "Hinck" is someone's name and "ley" is a meadow. By the time of the Domesday Book in 1086, Hinckley was quite a large village, and grew over the following 200 years into a small market town—a market was first recorded there in 1311. There is evidence of an Anglo Saxon church - the remnants of an Anglo Saxon sun-dial being visible on the diagonal buttress on the south-east corner of the chancel.
In 2000, archaeologists from Northampton Archaeology discovered evidence of Iron Age & Romano-British settlement on land near Coventry Road and Watling Street.
Ohio is a double studio album, their seventh overall, by Over the Rhine, released in 2003. The album was released as both a double CD and limited edition double vinyl LP set.
One additional song from these sessions, "Last Night On Earth Again" was released on the Discount Fireworks compilation, albeit in a re-recorded version.
Track listing
All songs written by Karin Bergquist and/or Linford Detweiler.
The singer's girlfriend leaves him after meeting another man at the bank and moves with him to Cleveland. The singer implores her to come back home to him and the things she left behind in Texas.
There is an additional song (track 43) on the CD called "Ohio (Reprise)". The song contains numerous other references to people and things associated with Texas that "want her back". These include:

This I Believe | Gordon B. Hinckley | 1992
We are largely the product of our beliefs. President Hinckley shares his ten personal articles of belief.

"It dawned on me the other day that I was part of a graduating class of a sister institution in 1932. This coming June it will be sixty years ago that we proudly and happily marched in a processional, listened to a commencement address of which I remember absolutely nothing, and went out to face the world.
That was a dark season, that year of 1932. It was at the bottom of the great worldwide depression. The unemployment rate was not the 5 or 6 or 7 percent over which we worry today, but more than 30 percent. Men saw their savings vanish, and some, with nothing to live for, took their own lives. Many with greater faith held ...
