The British Longhair is a longer-haired development from the longstanding British Shorthair breed. In the mid-20th century, British Shorthairs were interbred with imported long-haired varieties, like the Turkish Angora and what today it called the Traditional Persian, with an aim to producing more stout and round-faced stock, while retaining the short coat. As a result of this hybridization, British catteries have frequently produced (generally unwanted) semi-long-haired specimens among their litters. In more recent years, these have been intentionally bred (often outside the UK) to each other and sometimes to standard British Shorthairs, to establish a consistent, formalized British Longhair breed.
Breed recognition
Neither of the two major cat fancy organizations in the UK, the Governing Council of the Cat Fancy or Felis Britannica (the UK branch of Fédération Internationale Féline) recognize the cat as a breed or as a coat variant of the British Shorthair. The naming of the breed, and whether it is treated as a distinct breed, is quite inconsistent between the few pedigree registry organisations that acknowledge it as of 2015. It is called the British Longhair, British Longhair Variant, British Semi-Longhair, and Longhair British. It is sometimes known as the Britannica in some European countries, and also the Lowlander in the United States.
Monster Clown (Born February 24, 1976) is the ring name of a MexicanLuchadorenmascarado, or masked professional wrestler. He is best known as part of Los Psycho Circus in Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA) along with Psycho Clown and Murder Clown where they portray a trio of "evil clowns". They are currently in their second reign as the AAA World Trios Champions. Monster Clown's real name is not a matter of public record, as is often the case with masked wrestlers in Mexico where their private lives are kept a secret from the wrestling fans. While his real name has not been revealed it has been established that he previously worked under the ring names Highlander and Aliens before becoming a part of Los Psycho Circus. In the summer of 2009 he was forced to change his ring name from Zombie Clown to Monster Clown due to copyright problems.
Professional wrestling career
The wrestler who would later be known as Monster Clown began his professional wrestling career in 1997 as the enmascarado (masked wrestler) "Highlander" working primarily in and around the Tijuana, Baja California area. He some times worked on Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA) shows when the promotion ran shows in Tijuana, but was not a full-time member of the roster. In 200X he began working more for AAA as AAA owner Antonio Peña came up with a new ring character for him called "Aliens". The "Aliens" character was that of an actual alien from space who had come to earth to wrestle. He was even given a mascota (a Mini-Estrella companion) called "Mungo". The odd duo joined up with Madrox and Kriptor to form the group "Los Alienigenas" and worked a feud with the colorful duo of El Alebrije and Cuije. When Peña died in the fall of 2007 the Aliens character quickly dropped as it did not fit with the direction the new management wanted.
The third season of the American drama/adventure television series Highlander; the season's episodes began airing September 26, 1994 and finished on May 29, 1995. The series follows the adventures of Duncan MacLeod, a 400-year-old Immortal who can only die if he is beheaded; conflict inevitably finds him because he is part of the Game, an ongoing battle in which all Immortals have to fight and behead each other until only one is left.
Highlander is a film and television franchise that began with a 1986 fantasymovie starring Christopher Lambert, who played Connor MacLeod, the Highlander. Born in Glenfinnan, in the Scottish Highlands in the 16th century, MacLeod is one of a number of Immortals. There have been five Highlander movies, two television series, an animated series, an animated movie, an animated flash-movie series, ten original novels, nineteen comic book issues, and various licensed merchandise.
Films
Highlander
The first of what became a series of films, Highlander, directed by Russell Mulcahy, was released on March 7, 1986, with the tagline "There Can Be Only One." The film features a number of flashback scenes establishing Connor MacLeod of the Clan MacLeod's early history, and builds up to his final destiny among the last of the mysterious Immortals. Through a mentor and fellow Immortal —Juan Sánchez Villa-Lobos Ramírez, played by Sean Connery— he learns of the existence of other Immortals, who appear spontaneously throughout history. An Immortal can die only after being beheaded, and Immortals battle one another in ritual single combat to the death, until the "Gathering," when the few remaining Immortals will fight until only one remains to take "The Prize." The Gathering occurs in modern-day (1985) New York City, when the Highlander, who has fallen in love again despite trying to distance himself from humanity, narrowly defeats his powerful and evil enemy, The Kurgan, whom he has encountered repeatedly over the previous centuries, and who had slain Ramírez and many others. The movie was originally titled Shadow Clan in the earliest drafts of the film. Upon its release, the film was not a financial success and was panned by critics. However, it gained a strong cult following, was a hit internationally, and is regarded by many as the best movie in the series.
Catí is situated at 661 metres (2,169ft) above sea level, in the widst of a broad valley which is called "Catí Corridor" in the Alt Maestrat region. Geographically this area marks the boundary between the Ports region to which Catí belonged historically, and the Baix Maestrat, the centre of the mountainous area that connects El Ports of Morella with the Maestrat mountains, like Serra de Vallivana, Serra d'En Celler, Tossal de la Nevera and Tossal de la Barbuda.

Cat communication is the transfer of information by one or more cats that has an effect on the current or future behaviour of another animal, including humans. Cats use a range of communication modalities including vocal, visual, tactile and olfactory.

Vocal
Cat vocalisations have been categorised according to a range of characteristics.
Schötz categorised vocalizations according to 3 mouth actions: (1) sounds produced with the mouth closed (murmurs), including the purr, the trill and the chirrup, (2) sounds produced with the mouth open and gradually closing, comprising a large variety of meows with similar vowel patterns, and (3) sounds produced with the mouth held tensely open in the same position, often uttered in aggressive situations (growls, yowls, snarls, hisses, spits and shrieks).
Brown et al. categorised vocal responses of cats according to the behavioural context: (1) during separation of kittens from mother cats, (2) during food deprivation, (3) during pain, (4) prior to or during threat or attack behavior, as in disputes over territory or food, (5) during a painful or acutely stressful experience, as in routine prophylactic injections and (6) during kitten deprivation. Less commonly recorded calls from mature cats included purring, conspecific greeting calls or murmurs, extended vocal dialogues between cats in separate cages, “frustration” calls during training or extinction of conditioned responses.
Four lynx “illegally released” into the ScottishHighlands have been captured by park rangers in a rollercoaster two-day rescue effort ... The second pair of cats were captured at around 6.30 p.m.
One of the illegally-released lynx captured in the Highlands has died, those caring for the animals have said. The big cat was one of a second pair to be captured near the the Dell of Killiehuntly on Friday.

A pair of lynx that were believed to have been deliberately set loose in the ScottishHighlands have been captured. The wild cats were spotted on Wednesday afternoon around two miles from a wildlife park in the Drumguish area, near to Kingussie.
