In England, Wales and Northern Ireland, the HND is a BTEC qualification awarded by Edexcel, and in Scotland, an HNC is a Higher National awarded by the Scottish Qualifications Authority. The attainment level of the qualification is roughly equivalent to one year of university and a Certificate of Higher Education but being less than that of a Higher National Diploma (HND). Studied full-time, the qualification normally takes one year or two years part-time. Many HNCs cover the same areas as an HND and it is often possible to complete an HND with one year full-time study after successfully completing the HNC.
In England, Wales and Northern Ireland, an HNC (previously a level 5 qualification) is now Level 4 on the National Qualifications Framework.
In Ireland, an HNC is considered roughly equivalent to a FETAC level 6 Advanced Certificate - as both contain at least 8 modules/units at IRL level 6 (UK level 4)
National Certificate (often abbreviated to NCert or NC) is the name of an educational award in a number of countries, although the actual merit of award is not always the same.
Post-secondary qualifications are qualifications typically studied for after successful completion of secondary school. In Mauritius, this is usually after successful completion of the Higher School Certificate or its equivalent, although select qualifications may permit early school leaving or require additional study. A variety of different post-secondary qualifications are offered in Mauritius.
Qualifications may also be awarded in select programmes upon completion of a programme of study that covers part of a degree programme. A Diploma may be awarded after two years of undergraduate study; students may then progress onto a Top-up course, or be given advanced standing, to complete an undergraduate degree. A Postgraduate Certificate may be awarded after the first stage, and a Postgraduate Diploma may be awarded at the second stage, of postgraduate study; students may then be given advanced standing to complete a postgraduate degree.

Higher Technical Qualifications (HTQ's) from Activate Learning
A HTQ is a flexible way to learn online while you work. It’s an employer-led qualification which means employers have listed the skills they want and these form part of the course. With an HTQ, students get the skills employers need, helping them to get the job they want. It’s a great way to improve career prospects, achieve more, and succeed, while earning a salary too.

I would highly recommend this course.
Not only does it cover in-depth laws that can apply to anyone with a disability; but looks into autism spectrum disorder and what may or may not be typical and actions to take if needed. The course length is approximately 3 months online through participating colleges. Mine was via Chichester college in London.
It is the equivalent to an NVQ.
