The UK General Election in 2024 uses the new electoral boundaries. Only 65 of the 650 seats are staying the same. Some seats are new, while some are abolished. In these videos we look at why boundaries are changing, a summary of the new constituency including demographics and geography, how the population of the new constituency is formed from the old seats. Then we get into the politics. We present the results for each of the constituencies in 2019, then look at the trends for the main seat that is being replaced. For the main seat, we look who won, who came second, and the majority. We look at the graph of the vote share for the last 4 elections. Then we list the final list of candidates and make a prediction for the 2024 winner based on predictions using an optimistic scenario and a bad day for the Conservatives.

Sir Robert Buckland, the Conservative's former Justice Secretary, has lost his seat, in Labour's first gain from the Tories in the General Election.
Sir Robert, who previously held Swindon South with a majority of over 6,000, lost to Labour's Heidi Alexander.
Labour won 21,676 votes, with the Conservatives second on 12,070. Reform UK were third on 6,194. This marks the first Labour gain from the Tories this evening.
Sir Robert has held the seat since 2010, before which it was a Labour constituency for several years.
He hit out at his Conservative colleagues in the wake of his loss, saying: "I've watched colleagues in the Conservative Party strike poses, write inflammatory op-eds, and say stupid things they know they have no evidence for, instead of concentrating on doing the job".
Ian Hislop provides his analysis of the 'decimation' of the Tory Party as the results come in.

Senior Tory Sir Jacob Rees-Mogg has lost his North East Somerset seat in the general election.
The former leader of the House of Commons lost to Labour's candidate by around 5,000 votes. He was defending a majority of 14,729.
The seat, which has been subject to boundary changes this year and renamed to North East Somerset and Hanham, was won by Labour's Dan Norris with 20,739 votes, with Rees-Mogg coming second securing 15,420 votes and Reform UK candidate Paul MacDonnell taking third place with 7,424 votes.

Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer said people around the country had declared they were “ready for change”.
