The Storm is a 2009Americanscience fictiondisasterminiseries directed by Bradford May. Based on a previous teleplay by Matthew Chernov and David Rosiak, it was written by David Abramowitz and Dennis A. Pratt and revolves around a weather creation system developed by the Atmospheric Research Institute that threatens life on Earth when deployed by the military. However, while scientist Dr. Jonathan Kirk (James Van Der Beek), Danni Wilson (Teri Polo), and detectives Devon Williams (Marisol Nichols) and Stilman (Luke Perry) attempt to save the world, the former is hunted by hitmen.
The first part of the film was broadcast on the NBC network July 26, 2009. The second part was broadcast on August 2, 2009.
Plot
Through his Atmospheric Research Institute, Robert Terrell (Treat Williams) has finally fulfilled his lifelong dream of completing "weather creation" technology, which has been a landmark event. However, during a test run, a team composed of Dr. Jonathan Kirk, Carly Meyers and Dr. Jack Hoffman send a blast of energy into the ionosphere, driving the planet into unexpected natural disasters. The experiment also causes a damage of the weather control laboratory which causes the police led by the detective Devon Williams to begin the investigation.
The Storm is a 2012 mystery novel by Clive Cussler. The novel was Cussler's 10th novel in his NUMA File Adventure Series, and follows the adventures of Kurt Austin and Joe Zavala, who while on a NUMA ship in the Indian Ocean, come across a grizzly discovery of an abandoned ship having been attacked by mysterious black particles that may have a disastrous global environmental impact.
Heroes of the Storm (originally titled Blizzard DOTA and later changed to Blizzard All-Stars) is a multiplayer online battle arena video game developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment for Microsoft Windows and OS X. The game features heroes from Blizzard's franchises including Warcraft, Diablo, StarCraft, The Lost Vikings, and Overwatch. The game uses both free-to-play and freemium models and is supported by micropayments, which can be used to purchase heroes, visual alterations for the heroes in the game and mounts. Blizzard does not call the game a "multiplayer online battle arena" or an "action real-time strategy" because they feel it is something different with a broader playstyle; they refer to it as an online "hero brawler".
Age of the Tempest (Finnish: Myrskyn sankarit; formerly titled Heroes of the Storm in English) is a role-playing game, designed by Mike Pohjola and published by the board game company Tactic. The first part, Heroes of the Storm – Sword of the Great King was published in 2013 and retitled into Age of the Tempest – Sword of the High King in May 2014. Age of the Tempest – Sword of the High King (translated by Ville-Eemeli Miettinen) is about forest-dwelling rebels, who fight against the troops of the evil dictator.
The role-playing game was first published in Finland in Finnish, and later internationally in English, initially as Heroes of the Storm, and finally as Age of the Tempest. The role-playing game is published as a boxed set, and is available in Finland in book stores, department stores and hypermarkets, as well as traditional gaming stores. International distribution will take most of 2013.
The game was crowdfunded in 2012 with a campaign that gathered gamers both from Finland and all over the world.

Heroes of the Storm just released a new balance patch on its Public Test Realm. These hero updates and bug fixes will likely go live in the iconic BlizzardMOBA proper within the next month or so ... .

"Like many, we miss Heroes of the Storm," the team explains ... That being said, Resurgence of the Storm's creators are keen to highlight that this is "not a full replacement" for Heroes of the Storm, and not all of that game's features will be included.
