So tonight I went to see Jodie Comer in her one woman west end Debut play Prima Facie at the Harold Pinter Theatre in London
Prima Facie was written by Suzie Miller and tells the story of Tessa, a young and brilliant barrister. She has worked her way up from working class origins to be at the top of her game; prosecuting; cross examining and winning. An unexpected event of sexual assault forces her to confront the lines where the patriarchal power of the law, burden of proof and morals diverge.
Please note this play is very hard hitting and contains some distressing moments -it made me cry a lot and was extremely moving. Jodie comer was phenomenal and it was one of the most incredible performances I have ever seen before Olivier award worthy in my opinion. It was heart wrenching, eye opening, important and powerful.
There was lots of merch to buy
Posters £5
T shirts £20
Scripts £10
Programmes £6
It’s running at the Harold Pinter theatre for a strictly limited run until Saturday 18 of June but you can get returns or Last minute tickets if they become available at PrimaFaciePlay.com
There is also a lottery every Wednesday for 30 pay what you can tickets which go online at 10am
Standing tickets are also released at the theatre daily and you can also ask box office inside for late release and returned tickets there is even a returns que line at the theatre before the show starts
Prima facie will also be broadcast as part of NT live to cinemas in July following the plays run more info can be found at NTlive.com
Thanks for watching and be sure to like and follow for more theatre videos!
