On the morning of April 26th, 1989, Lucille Ball died in a Los Angeles hospital leaving the world heartbroken. America's first lady of comedy had delighted audiences with a glittering career that spanned over half a century: but it was her television show, 'I Love Lucy ' that had transformed television and turned the actress into the most famous face on the planet. Lucille had a hardscrabble childhood shaped by tragedy and a lack of money but she fought her way to become a leading lady, on and off screen. But behind the Hollywood glamour and laughter lay heartache and ill health. Lucille's marriage to her on-screen husband collapsed in 1960 leaving her emotionally devastated and throughout her life, Lucille smoked heavily and suffered with high blood pressure. The 77-year-old would die of a rupture of the aorta - a life-ending tear of the largest artery in the human body. This is rare, and even more mysterious given the fact that she was in great shape just weeks before her death. So, what exactly was going on inside Lucille Ball's body that led to this catastrophic failure? And could a mystery teenage illness have played a part? World-renowned forensic pathologist, Dr. Michael Hunter investigates every aspect of Lucille's life in forensic detail, using her death certificate, medical documents and first-hand accounts to piece together what was going on in the body of America's most loved Lucy to find the answers.

When thinking of Mexico, most people tend to think about Cancun or Cabo or Mexico City... but what about the second-most populated city called Guadalajara? I decided to come here to see what it's all about, and I'm truly blown away by how awesome it is!
Guadalajara is the capital of the state of Jalisco, which is the origin of Mexico’s greatest traditions and products such as tequila, cowboys, cholula sauce, Santana and of course, mariachis. In my opinion, this could be the best place to visit in the entire country.
Join me in today's adventure around Guadalajara which was shot entirely on my Panasonic LUMIX G100! They contacted me and wanted me to test out this br...

Guadalajara Guadalajara | Marca Ciudad

Guadalajara, Guadalajara!
Guadalajara, Guadalajara!
Tienes el alma de provinciana
Hueles a límpio, a rosa temprana
A verde jara fresca del río
Son mil palomas tu caserío
Guadalajara, Guadalajara
Sabes a pura tierra mojada.
Ay! colomitos lejanos
Ay! ojitos de agua hermanos
Ay colomitos inolvidables
Inolvidables como las tardes
En que la llúvia desde la loma
No nos dejaba ir a Zapopan.

They contacted me and wanted me to test out this brand new vlogging camera, which is the best of its kind on the market. More info on this link: https://bit.ly/lumix_g100

Places to see in ( Castile La Mancha - Spain ) Guadalajara
Guadalajara is a city and municipality in the autonomous community of Castile–La Mancha, Spain, and in the natural region of La Alcarria. It is the capital of the province of Guadalajara. It is located roughly 60 kilometres (37 miles) northeast of Madrid on the Henares River, and has a population of 84,803 (2012).
A Roman town called Arriaca, possibly founded by a pre-Roman culture, is known to have been located in that region. There is however no archeological proof of its existence, only references in texts such as the Ruta Antonina, which describe it as being in the hands of the Carpetani[2] when encountered by the Romans. The city, as Caracca, was incorporated into the Roman province of Hispania Tarraconensis. The city was o...

Guadalajara Spain: things to do in Guadalajara
Guadalajara is a city with a thousand corners oozing with history.
Researchers have traced its origins to a site near the Iberian city of Arriaca, meaning "river of stones", which would later become Roman. Even so, we cannot speak of an important settlement until the al-Andalus (Moorish) era. By the 8th century we know that there was a bridge spanning the Henares River, a mosque, and the Alcázar, or fortress. The Arab reign lasted for almost four centuries, until at the end of the 11th century the enclave came under the control of Castile and its king, Alfonso VI.
The conquest of Guadalajara formed part of the process to conquer the taifa (principality) of Toledo, and legends have it that Alvar Fáñez de Minaya, one of El Cid's lieutenants, led the Castilian troops in the spring of 1085, ...

This lovely city in the north of the province of Guadalajara is home to an outstanding architectural heritage, and in 1965 was declared a Historic-Artistic site. The castle, the cathedral and the Plaza Mayor square are the three sights you can't afford to miss, although the streets of Sigüenza are full of numerous exceptionally beautiful civil and religious buildings.
The castle is today a Parador hotel. It was built after the Arab invasion in the 8th century when the fortress was built. It still conserves important remnants of its defensive walls, and the gateways and towers that start at the castle. The cathedral was originally built in 1130 in the Romanesque style, although it was later developed according to the Gothic canon. I...

The city, as Caracca, was incorporated into the Roman province of Hispania Tarraconensis. The city was on the high road from Emerita (modern Mérida) to Caesaraugusta (modern Zaragoza), 22 M. P. northeast of Complutum (modern Alcalá de Henares).
The town of Guadalajara was founded by the Andalusians in the 8th century. They named it Wādī-al-Ḥajāra (Arabic: وَادِي ﭐلحَجَارَۃ), meaning "Valley of Stones"; in theory the literal translation of the Iberian name (Arriaca), meaning "Stony River". The history of the town during the Al-Andalus period was significant. They built monuments including the Moorish Bridge over the Henares River, the now ruined old Alcázar (Arabic for "palace"), and a mosque which later became the former Cathedral of St. Mary.
Nowadays, Guadalajara is involved in urban development plans that are quickly increasing the population of the city. New districts like Aguas Vivas (Live Waters) have recently been inaugurated.
The bridge across the Henares river is Arab but built on Roman foundations. It has several historic buildings such as the Palacio del Infantado, as well as many churches, such as the church of San Ginés. Although Guadalajara is the biggest city in its diocese, the cathedral is located in the nearby town of Sigüenza. However, in Guadalajara, there is a "co-cathedral": the church of Saint Mary, in Mudejar style. Very close to this church, is placed the chapel known as "Capilla de Luis de Lucena", which has several fresco paintings on its walls and ceiling. The Church of los Remedios was declared Bien de Interés Cultural in 1924, and currently serves as the auditorium of the University of Alcalá. The Church of la Piedad was declared Bien de Interés Cultural in 1931.
he districts of Iriépal, Taracena, Usanos, and Valdenoches are small agricultural districts, primarily dependent on the economic activity of Guadalajara and with little historical architecture, usually just a modest medieval or modern church. Thus, in Iriépal there is the Concepción church, constructed in the 16th century, which is known for its Mudejar tower. In Taracena there is the 17th century Church of the Immaculate, in a very simple Renaissance style. In Usanos, there is the 13th-century Romanesque church of the Assumption, considerably remodeled in later periods and which features a crenelated tower.

Places to see in ( Castile La Mancha - Spain ) Guadalajara Palacio del Infantado
The Palace of El Infantado is a palace located in Guadalajara, Spain. It was the seat of the Dukes of the Infantado. It was declared Bien de Interés Cultural in 1914. It currently houses a museum.
The Palace of the Dukes of Infantado is a Elizabethan Gothic style palace with Renaissance elements located in Guadalajara ( Spain ) and was built by Íñigo López de Mendoza and Luna , second Duke of the Infantado , at the end of the 15th century . In 2015, UNESCO included him in the artistic candidacy for World Heritage .
The palace of the Infantado is located in the same place occupied by the "main houses" of Don Pedro González , the first Alcarreño Mendoza. Around 1480, the second Duke of Infantado , Íñigo López de Mendoza y Luna , demolished the old family houses and decided to build a new palace " to increase the glory of his parents and his ." In 1483 the facade was completed, shortly after the patio and at the end of the century the palace was already complete in its basic structure. At the end of the fifteenth century the monument shone in all its splendor of Gothicism, coffered ceilings and riches. The traces are attributed to Juan Guas , a Toledo architect .
In 1569 the fifth Duke of the Infantado initiated a series of reforms directed by Acacio de Orejón that tended to equate the palace with the residence that the king Felipe II was raising in the neighborhoods of Madrid. He tried to achieve this by putting certain Renaissance details on the façade (he opened new windows, he covered the old ones, he tore off the Gothic pinnacles), in the courtyard, whose level was elevated, and decorating the ceilings of the lower halls with frescoes made by Italian artists who they were working in El Escorial , like Rómulo Cincinato . The "mythological garden" was also built next to the palace.
In 1738 , Mariana de Neoburgo , widow of Carlos II , was authorized to return to Spain from her exile in Bayonne and settled in this palace, where she died shortly after, in 1740 . It was also the scene of the meeting of Felipe V with Isabel de Farnesio because of his wedding by proxy.
In later centuries the Mendoza left Guadalajara to march to the Court, leaving the palace abandoned. At the end of the 19th century, the XV Duque del Infantado made a sale / transfer of half of the palace to the Town Hall. Later, the Ducal House and City Council ceded it to the Ministry of War , which used it as a school for military orphans. In 1936 the palace was bombed and destroyed. After the war, the cession to the Ministry of War ends, and the owners of the Palace, that is to say, the XVIII Duke of the Infantado (reserving a zone for housing and family archive) and the City council of Guadalajara , cede the Palace to the Provincial Delegationin 1961 to make a great museum project. The reconstruction and rehabilitation begins although its ancient splendor was lost forever as the Mudejar coffered ceilings were lost, some of the best in the world.
In 1972, the Provincial Historic Archive of Guadalajara and the Provincial Public Library of Guadalajara were moved to the building . In 2004 the library moves to the Palacio de Dávalos . The Historical Archive will be transferred throughout 2013 to another building of recent construction and the vacant space will be given new uses. At the moment the palace in addition to the Historical Archive is soothes of the Provincial Museum of Guadalajara .

Places to see in ( Castile La Mancha - Spain ) Pastrana
Pastrana is a medieval town and municipality in the province of Guadalajara, Castile-La Mancha, Spain, 40 kilometres southeast of the provincial capital, Guadalajara. It is notable as the site of the imprisonment of the one-eyed Princess of Éboli by Philip II of Spain after a court scandal in 1573, and also as the home of several Flemish tapestries depicting the attack of Alfonso V of Portugal on Morocco in 1471.
Pastrana is centered on a square, La Plaza de la Hora (usually referred to as "La Plaza", in English "the square of the hour"), which is overlooked by the Ducal Palace, the aforementioned Princess' palace and prison rolled into one. According to legend, she would be allowed to gaze out onto the square from the window of the room she was confined to for one hour a day, whence came the square's name. Fanning out from La Plaza are narrow, cobbled streets lined with houses, bars and shops. The main street leads to the Iglesia de la Asunción, in whose museum the tapestries are kept, and also a painting by El Greco. Further along are the old Jewish and Arab quarters.
Important events are Semana Santa at Easter and La Fiesta in August, a week of events, such as concerts, parties, encierros and bullfights, with the town congregating in La Plaza every evening for a night of live music and dancing.

The conquest of Guadalajara formed part of the process to conquer the taifa (principality) of Toledo, and legends have it that Alvar Fáñez de Minaya, one of El Cid's lieutenants, led the Castilian troops in the spring of 1085, taking the city.
Victory at the Battle of Las Navas de Tolosa, in 1212, definitively pushed the border southwards. In Guadalajara, on the site of the previous mosque, the construction of a mudéjar church, which we now know as the Concatedral de Santa María, began.
Later, in the second half of the fourteenth century, the Mendoza family settled in Guadalajara, boasting prominent figures such as Íñigo López de Mendoza, Marqués de Santillana, and the Cardenal Pedro González de Mendoza.
Guadalajara shone so brightly that the beautiful Palacio del Infantado was built here, in the Gothic-Elizabethan style, with Renaissance elements, going on to host two of the most notable royal weddings of the Modern Age: that of Felipe Segundo (Philip II) and Isabel de Valois, in 1559; and that of Felipe Quinto (Philip V) and Isabel de Farnesio, in 1714.
Other emblematic buildings in the city include the Palacio de la Cotilla, dating from the 17th century, which features a Chinese tea room; and the Pantheon of the Duchess of Sevillano, a funerary monument built in 1916 and covered by a beautiful dome of glazed pottery, and adorned with beautiful ornamentation.
The city was not immune to the conflicts that plagued Spain: the War of Succession, the War of Independence against the French, and, of course, the Civil War, during which Guadalajara suffered great damage.
But the city managed to recover and take advantage of its proximity to the Madrid metropolitan area and the urban and industrial expansion of the Henares Corridor. But let us not forget that Guadalajara is much more; it is also a province forming an integral part of Castilla-La Mancha, and full of emblematic towns, such as Cogolludo, with the Renaissance Palacio de Medinaceli; Atienza, with its castle in the upper quarter of the town, offering sweeping views of the entire region; and Sigüenza, protected by its walls and featuring the famed young nobleman's tomb in its cathedral, its castle housing a well-known parador. Brihuega beckons you to discover its enormous cultural heritage, even as it enhances its landscape to attract revenue and retain its local population. And Pastrana, down whose streets walked two illustrious contemporaries: The Princess of Eboli, and Saint Teresa of Jesus; and that was once home to Christians, Jews and Muslims.
In short, Guadalajara is a land for leisurely walks and discovering its enormous heritage, left by a whole mix of cultures.

Places to see in ( Castile La Mancha - Spain ) Siguenza
Its exterior resembles a mediaeval fortress, with Romanesque towers and portico and a magnificent rose window. The interior is the site of the tomb of Martín Vázquez de Arce, known as 'El Doncel' (young knight) of Sigüenza. Other highlights include the sacristy of Las Cabezas by Covarrubias, the cloister, the choir with Gothic choir stalls, and an important collection of art, including an Annunciation by El Greco.
The Renaissance-style Plaza Mayor or market square was urbanised in 1484-1494, and is the site of the Casas de los Canónigos houses with their balconies and galleries, the Town Hall and the Puerta del Toril gate. Other points of interest are the Romanesque church of San Vicente, the parish church of Santiago, the seminary, the Casa del Doncel and Posada del Sol buildings, the church of Las Ursulinas, the college of La Sagrada Familia, the Casa del Arcediano house, the shrine of Humilladero de la Vera Cruz and the Infantes college.
Troubadours, stilt-walkers and jugglers all climb on board this train that plies the route between Madrid (Chamartín station) and Sigüenza. Throughout the trip, passengers can enjoy the mediaeval entertainment, sample sweets and pastries and –on arrival in Sigüenza– visit the monuments. This train usually runs on several Saturdays in spring (from April to June) and autumn (September, October and November).

Places to see in ( Castile La Mancha - Spain ) Cantalojas
Cantalojas is a Spanish municipality located in the extreme northwest of the province of Guadalajara , specifically in the Sierra de Ayllón , in the autonomous community of Castilla-La Mancha . It is a place located in the Sierra Norte de Guadalajara , 95 kilometers away from Guadalajara and located at an altitude of 1,315 meters above sea level .
Due to geographical situation, the surroundings of the municipality are mountainous. Cantalojas is bathed by the Lillas and Zarzas rivers , which, a little further down, when they are pointed, become known as the La Hoz river , at the same time tributaries of the Sorbe river , they give rise to picturesque landscapes, some of them difficult access.
Part of the Cantalojas municipality is located within the natural park of the Sierra Norte de Guadalajara . In addition, the Tejera Negra beech forest is located in its municipal area , which, together with the nearby Hayedo de Montejo , in Montejo de la Sierra ( Madrid ), is one of the most southern beech forests in Europe.
Due to its situation and the distribution of pre-Roman peoples usually accepted, the territory was occupied by Celtiberians . In fact, the place is ideal for tall grazing and livestock raising. Just as today this is a principal wealth of the people, it surely was so much in remote times, as in more recent historical epochs. Cantalojas belonged, after the Christian reconquest of the area, to the Community of Villa and Tierra de Ayllón , remaining in it and in the lordship of its successive owners, until recent times.
This community was integrated in the province of Segovia . In the provincial reform of 1833, the Sexmo de la Transierra (Cantalojas and others) were incorporated into the province of Guadalajara .
In the province of Guadalajara, four villages of the Ayllón Common survive: Campillo de Ranas , Cantalojas, Majaelrayo and Villacadima . These four towns were part of a sesma , that of Transierra that composed a total of four towns and a council, because they are located on the southern slope, yielding its waters to the Tagus . These sesmas were governed by a sesmero, chosen among the men of the demarcation, who paid a certain amount to Mr. de Ayllón, at the same time as they contributed men-at-arms to their armies.
Close to the town, on an eminence of land that presides over the deep channel of the Sorbe, in the place that is known by El Castillar , there are the battered remains of a castle , which in Cantalojas is attributed to the Moors , and which was undoubtedly , in principle, Castro Ibero and, later, used to place a watchtower and a small military stronghold in the Middle Ages , monitoring the frequent passage of people through that area of communication between both plateaus .
