William Ray Norwood, Jr. (born January 17, 1981), known by his stage name Ray J, is an American singer, songwriter, record producer and actor. Born in McComb, Mississippi and raised in Carson, California, he is the brother of recording artist and actress Brandy Norwood and the first cousin of rapper Snoop Dogg.
Life and career
Early life
William Ray Norwood, Jr. was born in McComb, Mississippi to Willie Norwood and Sonja Bates-Norwood. His older sister Brandy is an award-winning, multi-platinum recording artist. Early in his life, he moved with his family from McComb, Mississippi to Los Angeles, California, and in 1989 started appearing in television commercials for different companies. In 1989, at the age of eight, Norwood began auditioning for and appearing in television commercials; he played the foster son in The Sinbad Show, from 1993 to 1994. This period in Norwood's life would shape his acting career. According to Bradley Torreano of allmusic, "his easygoing image and boyish looks appealed to the producers of Brandy's television show, Moesha, giving him a role on the UPN series as Dorian "D-Money", a role he played from 1999 until the show ended in 2001.
The show ended right before the spin-off Family Business which stars Ray and his sister Brandy. Ray J is done with the show and called it "a learning experience."
Season 1
The show, which premiered on February 2, 2009, follows Ray J and a group of 14 female contestants. The winner was Cocktail (Joanna Hernandez).
Season 2
A second season premiered on November 2, 2009, with a group of 19 female contestants. The winner was 32 year-old Mz. Berry (Connie Deveaux).
Good Things is the fourth album by the Swedishhip hop group Looptroop Rockers. It was released in 2008 by Bad Taste Records and is entirely produced by Embee. It is the first album released after the retirement of band member CosM.I.C. and also the first one released under the name Looptroop Rockers. Despite leaving the group, CosM.I.C. does make an appearance on the track Al Mazika. Good Things also features the first cover song on any of the group's albums, Livin' on a Prayer, originally performed by Bon Jovi.
Common Courtesy is the fifth studio album by American rock band A Day to Remember. Songs for the album were written mid-2011, with recording starting from early-2012 and going into March 2013, with mixing being handled in the same month. In between that time period, an unmixed version of "Violence (Enough Is Enough)" was streamed from the band's website in December 2012. The band then embarked on the Right Back at It Again Tour in March 2013, performing the new song "Right Back at It Again" at each show. From mid-August to late-September, the band released webisodes to tie-in with the album. The band performed another song that would appear on the album, "Dead & Buried", at each stop of the following House Party Tour, beginning in September 2013 and ending a month later.
A few months before the recording of the album started, in December 2011, the band was involved in a lawsuit with their label Victory, which had parts resolved a few days before the album's release. This lawsuit led to the band's initial digital self-release of the album on October 8, with a physical release following on November 25, featuring three bonus tracks. Common Courtesy charted at number 34 in the UK and number 37 in the U.S. and was met with generally favorable reviews, with critics praising the album's sound. "Right Back at It Again" charted at number 33 on the Alternative Songs and at number 40 on the Mainstream Rock Songs charts in the U.S, while "End of Me" charted at number 40 on Alternative Songs and at number 26 on Mainstream Rock Songs.

The second season, called Rock of Love: Charm School is hosted by Sharon Osbourne and features fourteen contestants from the first two seasons of Rock of Love with Bret Michaels. The third season, called Charm School with Ricki Lake is hosted by Ricki Lake and features contestants from Rock of Love Bus with Bret Michaels and from Real Chance of Love. The show ostensibly acts as a finishing school for its contestants that helps develop proper etiquette. Season 1 offered a prize of $50,000, while Seasons 2 and 3 doubled the amount to $100,000. All three seasons offered the title of "Charm School Queen."
Flavor of Love charters unmarked territory in celebreality, taking a pimped up ride on the rollercoaster of love. In the show, each contestant is given a nickname by Flav and is referred to by that nickname for as long as she remains in the competition, as Flav says he can remember nicknames more so than real names. Flavor of Love features a clock ceremony where contestants who are not eliminated receive gold clocks to wear around their necks with their picture and nickname behind the hands of the clock. When a contestant is eliminated, her real name is then revealed, followed by a champagne toast.
I Love New York is a reality television series featuring Tiffany "New York" Pollard on a quest to find her true love. The series first aired on VH1 as a spin off to Flavor of Love, another relationship competition series, which featured Pollard as a finalist in two consecutive seasons.
The winner of the show's first season, Tango (Patrick S. Hunter) failed to deliver as New York's soul mate. When the second season aired, Tailor Made (George Weisgerber) was revealed as New York's chosen flame. (Weisgerber and Pollard later separated during the taping of New York Goes to Hollywood.)
In addition to Pollard, a host of other individuals from Flavor of Love, including "Sister" Patterson (Pollard's mother), appeared on the show to help Pollard choose the right man. Mauricio Sanchez played New York's assistant, "Chamo," during the first season. The production of a second season of I Love New York was first announced during a commercial break for the April 29, 2007, episode of Charm School. After the show was wrapped up, the house was used for another VH1 show, Flavor of Love Girls: Charm School.
Rock of Love with Bret Michaels is an American reality television dating game show. It stars Bret Michaels, the lead singer from the band Poison. The show closely resembles its sister show Flavor of Love. The first season featured 25 women competing to be Michaels' girlfriend. Each week, the women face challenges, the winner of which gets to go on a date with Michaels. Some of the challenges were based on situations that they might encounter if chosen to be Michaels' girlfriend. The first season winner was 24-year-old Jes Rickleff from Naperville, Illinois. At the reunion, she revealed that she did not have romantic feelings for Michaels, and that she thought that he should have chosen the runner-up, Heather.
Brandy and Ray J: A Family Business is an American reality television series that premiered on VH1 on April 11, 2010. This series follows the family and its business, notably the transition of power as Sonja prepares to hand Rn'B's day-to-day operations to Brandy and Ray J.

“Jesse’s done a really, really good thing with it,” Workman said ... That extra attention on the game, Rays manager Kevin Cash said, said can be a good thing ... so they’re obviously doing a good thing.
All of the greatest players in Rays history have eventually been traded or walked away because of money issues ...In the end, they had to go for the good of the team ... Stuart Sternberg’s arrival was the best thing to ever happen to the Rays.
Should the Rays trade one of their starting pitchers? ...Things were looking good for the Rays' starting rotation last season, then Taj Bradley was sidelined before the season even started. The 2024 Rays rotation ... This isn’t a Rays phenomenon.
CLEARWATER — The Rays are counting on Junior Caminero to carry a heavy offensive load this season ... “It felt good,” he said ... He said things look “good,” but they will know more once the players move into the the facility after spring training.
He got off to a good start in the Rays organization, making 10 mostly impressive starts for Class A Charleston, before blowing out his elbow and needing Tommy John surgery... Upon reflection, Wilcox said being traded to the Rays was a good thing.
“Good chemistry can overcome a lot of things,” veteran reliever Pete Fairbanks said ... Yandy Diaz, a Ray since the playoff run started in 2019, considers that a good move ... “Good chemistry can overcome a lot of things,” Fairbanks says.
StarterRyan Pepiot, projected Triple-A starter (for now) Joe Boyle, and relievers Garrett Cleavinger, Hunter Bigge and Pete Fairbanks all did some good things in their first spring outings.
