Sex reassignment therapy
Sex reassignment therapy can consist of hormone replacement therapy (HRT) to modify secondary sex characteristics, sex reassignment surgery to alter primary sex characteristics, and other procedures altering appearance, including permanent hair removal for trans women.
In addition to undergoing medical procedures, transsexual people who go through sex reassignment therapy usually change their social gender roles, legal names and legal sex designation. The entire process of change from one gender presentation to another is known as transition.
In appropriately evaluated cases of severe gender dysphoria, sex reassignment therapy is often the best when standards of care are followed. There is academic concern over the low quality of the evidence supporting the efficacy of sex reassignment therapy as treatment for gender dysphoria, but more robust studies are impractical to carry out; as well, there exists a broad clinical consensus, supplementing the academic research, that supports the effectiveness in terms of subjective improvement of sex reassignment therapy in appropriately selected patients. Treatment of gender dysphoria does not involve attempting to correct the patient's gender identity, but to help the patient adapt.

Sex reassignment surgery
Sex reassignment surgery (initialized as SRS; also known as gender reassignment surgery (GRS), genital reconstruction surgery, sex affirmation surgery, gender confirmation surgery, sex realignment surgery, or, colloquially, a sex change) is the surgical procedure (or procedures) by which a transgender person's physical appearance and function of their existing sexual characteristics are altered to resemble that of their identified gender. It is part of a treatment for gender dysphoria in transgender people. It may also be performed on intersex people, often in infancy and without their consent. A 2013 statement by the United Nations condemns the nonconsensual treatment of normalization surgery to treat intersexuality.
Another term for SRS includes sex reconstruction surgery, and more clinical terms, such as feminizing genitoplasty or penectomy , orchiectomy, and vaginoplasty, are used medically for trans women, with masculinizing genitoplasty, metoidioplasty or phalloplasty often similarly used for trans men.

If they don’t, they would be professionally punished or even lose their license.
However, if a therapist assures Johnny that he is really a girl, gives him puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and then helps him get surgery that removes healthy body parts and permanently sterilizes him, this is referred to as “gender affirmation”. That is legal in all 50 states.
But isn’t it interesting the words they use to describe these situations. Helping a child identify with the body they were born with is called “conversion therapy.”
Giving a child artificial hormones and plastic surgery is called “gender affirmation.”
If that seems backwards to you, that’s because it is.

When we are looking for gender reassignment is that it is not a single step procedure. It is a series of things that we have to do to finally change a person from a male to a female or a female to a male. The genital reconstruction that is the reconstruction of the vagina or the penis. So that is the final stage. Before that there are a lot of stages that we have to complete before we actually reach the final stage for gender reassignment. So during that phase, apart from the psychiatric evaluation, hormonal changes are brought about by the endocrinologist. the endocrinologist will assess and give hormones that will help suppress the testosterone in the males if they are converting from male to female or the estrogens and improve the testosterones from female to male. So these are done via tablets and injections which are given on a regular basis which have to be continued post operatively. So what the hormonal changes or the hormonal tablets or injections what they do is they will suppress the sexual characteristics because of the sexual hormones of what the body actually is and the will promote the sexual characteristics of what you actually want to become. So if you are a female, then the conversion of a female to a male, then they will suppress the estrogens and the progesterone and increase the testosterone levels so that you can start growing hair and your voice can cage little bit and you will have more muscle mass, whereas if you are moving from a male to a female, they will put you on estrogens and the progesterone which will help develop some of the beast tissue, facial hair will start reducing, the muscle bulk stops reducing, you put on more weight. So these are all the changes which have to occur. So it is a combined process because the hormonal replacement is not one sage It is a continuous process.so as soon as the psychiatric evaluation is don and you start the process of a gender reassignment, at the same time ,we start you to see an endocrinologist and they will do the assessment and see what the levels are. Accordingly try and start changing your hormonal levels to the final sex what you want to change into. So based on that, you cannot do a hormonal assessment and a hormonal change or a hormonal treatment and directly go in for a gender reassignment. So the hormonal treatment and the gender reassignment all start together and they are continued even after the surgery.

People often ask if they have to go for a hormonal assessment or hormonal tablets or injections before going for a gender reassignment. When we are looking for gender reassignment is that it is not a single step procedure. It is a series of things that we have to do to finally change a person from a male to a female or a female to a male. The genital reconstruction that is the reconstruction of the vagina or the penis. So that is the final stage. Before that there are a lot of stages that we have to complete before we actually reach the final stage for gender reassignment. So during that phase, apart from the psychiatric evaluation, hormonal changes are brought about by the endocrinologist. the endocrinologist will assess and give hormones that will help suppress the testosterone in the males if they are converting from male to female or the estrogens and improve the testosterones from female to male. So these are done via tablets and injections which are given on a regular basis which have to be continued post operatively. So what the hormonal changes or the hormonal tablets or injections what they do is they will suppress the sexual characteristics because of the sexual hormones of what the body actually is and the will promote the sexual characteristics of what you actually want to become. So if you are a female, then the conversion of a female to a male, then they will suppress the estrogens and the progesterone and increase the testosterone levels so that you can start growing hair and your voice can cage little bit and you will have more muscle mass, whereas if you are moving from a male to a female, they will put you on estrogens and the progesterone which will help develop some of the beast tissue, facial hair will start reducing, the muscle bulk stops reducing, you put on more weight. So these are all the changes which have to occur. So it is a combined process because the hormonal replacement is not one sage It is a continuous process.so as soon as the psychiatric evaluation is don and you start the process of a gender reassignment, at the same time ,we start you to see an endocrinologist and they will do the assessment and see what the levels are. Accordingly try and start changing your hormonal levels to the final sex what you want to change into. So based on that, you cannot do a hormonal assessment and a hormonal change or a hormonal treatment and directly go in for a gender reassignment. So the hormonal treatment and the gender reassignment all start together and they are continued even after the surgery.

After the patient's mastectomy (removal of the breasts) vaginectomy and bilateral salfingooectomy (removal of the ovary and uterus), the patient is reconstructed by the penis. The method I have chosen is to perform this surgery with the Latissimus dorsi flap, one of the biggest muscles of the back and even the body. It is advantageous that the postoperative scar of this region remains on the back. Another advantage is that penis can be created with this technique in the desired size. However, as in this video, the first penis created after surgery should be thinned. After the patient's mastectomy (removal of the breasts) vaginectomy and bilateral salfingooectomy (removal of the ovary and uterus), the patient is reconstructed by the penis. The method I have chosen is to perform this surgery with the Latissimus dorsi flap, one of the biggest muscles of the back and even the body. It is advantageous that the postoperative scar of this region remains on the back. Another advantage is that penis can be created with this technique in the desired size. However, as in this video, the first penis created after surgery should be thinned. However, especially in patients with a body mass index below 24, penis reconstruction can be performed in a single session, without the need for thinning. Following the penis prosthesis to be placed in the penis, the patient can also achieve sexual function. Important note here; I do not make the urinary tract at the tip of the penis and I place it in the lower part of the penis. Because even after the most successful urinary tract production, there is a 50% risk of urinary tract narrowing, urea stones and fistula. Despite this technique, some of my patients reported that they were able to urinate while standing. This video is a presentation for both my patients and doctors. I hope you can find useful information. It would be much more convenient if you think that this is a medical document in your comments under the content and that many people suffer from this problem. In addition, penile reconstruction is performed not only for sex change, but also for biological male patients who have no penis for some reason or have lost it afterwards. One trick of LGBT activists is changing the meaning of words.
We see this in the way LGBT activists celebrate sex reassignment as gender affirmation but condemn conversion therapy as sex reassignment.
Let’s imagine there is a 6 year-old boy named Johnny and Johnny experiences gender dysphoria. He says he wants to be a girl. The science shows that in at least 80% of the cases, gender dysphoria eventually goes away on it’s own. So if Johnny and his parents do nothing, the odds are that by the time Johnny goes through puberty, his gender dysphoria will go away.
However, if a therapist or doctor were to help Johnny get over his gender dysphoria and counsel him in a way that helped him identify as a boy this would be described as “conversion therapy”. In several states, it’s illegal. In those states, the only thing a therapist is allowed to do with a child who has experiences gender dysphoria is help them embrace their identity as the opposite sex. If they don’t, they would be professionally punished or even lose their license.
However, if a therapist assures Johnny that he is really a girl, gives him puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and then helps him get surgery that removes healthy body parts and permanently sterilizes him, this is referred to as “gender affirmation”. That is legal in all 50 states.
But isn’t it interesting the words they use to describe these situations. Helping a child identify with the body they were born with is called “conversion therapy.”
Giving a child artificial hormones and plastic surgery is called “gender affirmation.”
If that seems backwards to you, that’s because it is.

People often ask if they have to go for a hormonal assessment or hormonal tablets or injections before going for a gender reassignment. When we are looking for gender reassignment is that it is not a single step procedure. It is a series of things that we have to do to finally change a person from a male to a female or a female to a male. The genital reconstruction that is the reconstruction of the vagina or the penis. So that is the final stage. Before that there are a lot of stages that we have to complete before we actually reach the final stage for gender reassignment. So during that phase, apart from the psychiatric evaluation, hormonal changes are brought about by the endocrinologist. the endocrinologist will assess and give hormones that will help suppress the testosterone in the males if they are converting from male to female or the estrogens and improve the testosterones from female to male. So these are done via tablets and injections which are given on a regular basis which have to be continued post operatively. So what the hormonal changes or the hormonal tablets or injections what they do is they will suppress the sexual characteristics because of the sexual hormones of what the body actually is and the will promote the sexual characteristics of what you actually want to become. So if you are a female, then the conversion of a female to a male, then they will suppress the estrogens and the progesterone and increase the testosterone levels so that you can start growing hair and your voice can cage little bit and you will have more muscle mass, whereas if you are moving from a male to a female, they will put you on estrogens and the progesterone which will help develop some of the beast tissue, facial hair will start reducing, the muscle bulk stops reducing, you put on more weight. So these are all the changes which have to occur. So it is a combined process because the hormonal replacement is not one sage It is a continuous process.so as soon as the psychiatric evaluation is don and you start the process of a gender reassignment, at the same time ,we start you to see an endocrinologist and they will do the assessment and see what the levels are. Accordingly try and start changing your hormonal levels to the final sex what you want to change into. So based on that, you cannot do a hormonal assessment and a hormonal change or a hormonal treatment and directly go in for a gender reassignment. So the hormonal treatment and the gender reassignment all start together and they are continued even after the surgery.

We often get questions to what is gender reassignment surgery. It is often called as sexual reassignment surgery or SRS. So it is basically to change the sex of a person from a male or a female or a female to a male. So that is basically gender reassignment surgery is not just one surgery. It is a series of surgeries wherein we try and convert the sex of a person from a male to completely into a female or from a female into a male, and this includes not only the sexual organs but also the other secondary sexual characters so that he or she can live in the opposite sex as normal male or female to which he or she has been converted to.
Sex reassignment therapy
Sex reassignment therapy can consist of hormone replacement therapy (HRT) to modify secondary sex characteristics, sex reassignment surgery to alter primary sex characteristics, and other procedures altering appearance, including permanent hair removal for trans women.
In addition to undergoing medical procedures, transsexual people who go through sex reassignment therapy usually change their social gender roles, legal names and legal sex designation. The entire process of change from one gender presentation to another is known as transition.
In appropriately evaluated cases of severe gender dysphoria, sex reassignment therapy is often the best when standards of care are followed. There is academic concern over the low quality of the evidence supporting the efficacy of sex reassignment therapy as treatment for gender dysphoria, but more robust studies are impractical to carry out; as well, there exists a broad clinical consensus, supplementing the academic research, that supports the effectiveness in terms of subjective improvement of sex reassignment therapy in appropriately selected patients. Treatment of gender dysphoria does not involve attempting to correct the patient's gender identity, but to help the patient adapt.

After the patient's mastectomy (removal of the breasts) vaginectomy and bilateral salfingooectomy (removal of the ovary and uterus), the patient is reconstructed by the penis. The method I have chosen is to perform this surgery with the Latissimus dorsi flap, one of the biggest muscles of the back and even the body. It is advantageous that the postoperative scar of this region remains on the back. Another advantage is that penis can be created with this technique in the desired size. However, as in this video, the first penis created after surgery should be thinned. However, especially in patients with a body mass index below 24, penis reconstruction can be performed in a single session, without the need for thinning. Following the penis prosthesis to be placed in the penis, the patient can also achieve sexual function. Important note here; I do not make the urinary tract at the tip of the penis and I place it in the lower part of the penis. Because even after the most successful urinary tract production, there is a 50% risk of urinary tract narrowing, urea stones and fistula. Despite this technique, some of my patients reported that they were able to urinate while standing. This video is a presentation for both my patients and doctors. In addition, penile reconstruction is performed not only for sex change, but also for biological male patients who have no penis for some reason or have lost it afterwards.
