Gas is an animated short, directed by Chuck Jones and first released in May, 1944. It features Private Snafu learning the value of a gas mask in warfare. The cartoon was produced by Warner Bros. Cartoons. The script writers for the Snafu cartoons were typically uncredited, though animation historians consider that several of them were written or co-written by Dr. Seuss and Munro Leaf.
Plot
The film is set in a military camp, with a sign informing viewers that the camp is situated at a distance of 3642,5 miles (5862 kilometers) from Brooklyn. An alarm alerts the soldiers to wear their gas masks and assemble at a predetermined area of the camp. Every soldier rushes to complete the task, except for Snafu who has trouble locating his gas mask case. He is the last soldier to arrive to the assembly grounds, and has yet to actually wear his mask. When Snafu opens the case, he reaches in and retrieves first a sheer bra, then Bugs Bunny, and last his mask. His lack of organization skills earns him the attention of the officers. He is singled out for additional drill exercises with his gas mask.
76 (formerly Union 76) is a chain of gas stations located within the United States. The 76 brand is owned by Phillips 66 Company. Union Oil Company of California, dbaUnocal, the original owner and creator of the Union 76 brand merged with Chevron Corporation in 2005.
In 1997, Unocal sold its western United States refining and marketing operations and the rights to the Union 76 brand for use in refining and marketing operations to Tosco Corporation. Tosco has since been purchased by Phillips Petroleum, which merged with Conoco to form ConocoPhillips. As of May 1, 2012, the "76" brand is owned by the Phillips 66 Company. Unocal continued to own the "76" trademark for use in its operations, with the exception of the divested Refining and Marketing business. On August 10, 2005, Unocal Corporation and Union Oil Company of California were acquired and merged into a subsidiary of Chevron Corporation.
76, Conoco, and Phillips 66 market their brand of gasoline under the brand name PROclean. The previous brand name for their gasoline was Propower. 76 gasoline stopped being marketed under the Propower name after the termination of the commercial relationship between NASCAR and 76 after the end of the 2003 season when the firm discontinued all motorsport fuels. As of October 2004, PROclean brand fuel was included onto the list of fuels recognized as "Top Tier".
Gas 5 was Gasolin's fifth album in five years and was released in October 1975. From the humble beginnings of their debut album they had developed into a confident arena rock band with this release. In hindsight, Gas 5 may be considered to be their definitive album.
Overview
Roy Thomas Baker provided a big powerful "Led Zeppelin rock sound", while Wolfgang Käfer would provide the strings to the epic rock songs: "Rabalderstræde", "Fatherless Hill" and "Sct. Emitri". Wili Jönsson played the harpsichord on the latter song. The power pop of "Kvinde min" and the reflective ballad of "Masser af success" shows a gentle side too.
Gas 5 was the first Gasolin' album to include songs with English lyrics (if you do not include the albums that Gasolin' released only for the international market). From this album "Rabalderstræde" / "Kvinde min" and "Refrainet er frit" / "Good Time Charlie" were released as singles.
Gas 5 was recorded at Rosenberg Studio in Copenhagen with Freddy Hansson as sound engineer. For the first time ever in Denmark an album was recorded with a 24-track mix board. That board was also used for the album cover. Gas 5 was released on CD in 1987 with Efter endnu en dag (1976), but due to lack of space "Good Time Charlie" was omitted. It was remastered for CD in 1991 and is also included on The Black Boxbox set (2003).

All the vehicle crashes found in the 1981 failed comedy "GAS", filmed entirely in Montreal. Not sure if this'll beat the Blazing Magnum car chase for best car stuntwork filmed in Montreal, but hey, look at some of these wrecks... one car goes flying HIGH.

16mm film: GAS (1981 movie) -- Segment #1
I first saw this movie over 30 years ago, and I never laughed so much since the Richard Pryor concert film. I'd been looking for this movie ever since with no luck. Shortly before a 16mm print of the feature became available, I read a lot of comments from fans of GAS hoping someone would upload it. So I decided to upload segments off my projector. It isn't direct but it's better than nothing. Hope you enjoy it
