In software engineering, a freeze is a point in time in the development process after which the rules for making changes to the source code or related resources become more strict, or the period during which those rules are applied. A freeze helps move the project forward towards a release or the end of an iteration by reducing the scale or frequency of changes, and may be used to help meet a roadmap. The exact rules depend on the type of freeze and the particular development process in use; for example, they may include only allowing changes which fix bugs, or allowing changes only after thorough review by other members of the development team. They may also specify what happens if a change contrary to the rules is required, such as restarting the freeze period.
Two common types of freezes are:
A (complete) feature freeze, in which all work on adding new features is suspended, shifting the effort towards fixing bugs and improving the user experience. The addition of new features may have a disruptive effect on other parts of the program, due both to the introduction of new, untested source code or resources and to interactions with other features; thus, a feature freeze helps improve the program's stability. For example: "user interface feature freeze" means no more features will be permitted to the user interface portion of the code; bugs can still be fixed.
The Software Engineering 2004 (SE2004) —formerly known as Computing Curriculum Software Engineering (CCSE)— is a document that provides recommendations for undergraduate education in software engineering. SE2004 was initially developed by a steering committee between 2001 and 2004. Its development was sponsored by the Association for Computing Machinery and the IEEE Computer Society. Important components of SE2004 include the Software Engineering Education Knowledge, a list of topics that all graduates should know, as well as a set of guidelines for implementing curricula and a set of proposed courses.
University of Engineering and Technology, Taxila, or UET Taxila (Urdu:یونیورسٹی آف انجینیئرنگ اینڈ ٹیکنالوجی ، ٹیکسلا) is located at Taxila, Punjab, Pakistan. It was established in 1975 as a campus of University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore and chartered as an independent university in 1993, offering Bachelor, Master, and Doctoral degrees in disciplines in Engineering.
It offers degrees in nine engineering studies: Computer, Telecom, Software, Electrical, Electronics, Civil, Industrial, Environmental and Mechanical for all degree level and Engineering Management at Master and Doctorate level at the main campus, and Mechatronics and Electronics at the subcampus of Chakwal. It is located near the historical site of Julian University, an ancient Buddhist university.
An audio engineer works on the recording, manipulation, mixing, reproduction, and reinforcement of sound. Audio engineers work on the "...technical aspect of recording—the placing of microphones, the turning of pre-amp knobs, the setting of levels. The physical recording of any project is done by an engineer... the nuts and bolts." Many audio engineers creatively use technologies to produce sound for film, radio, television, music, electronic products and computer games. Audio engineers also set up and operate sound reinforcement systems for concert, corporate, theatre, sporting and other events.
Alternatively, the term audio engineer can refer to a scientist or professional engineer who holds a B.Sc. or M.Sc. who designs, develops and builds new audio technologies working within the field of acoustical engineering.
Audio engineering concerns the creative and practical aspects of sounds including speech and music, as well as the development of new audio technologies and advancing scientific understanding of audible sound.
Software introduces Cobb Anderson as a retired computer scientist who was once tried for treason for figuring out how to give robots artificial intelligence and free will, creating the race of boppers. By 2020, they have created a complex society on the Moon, where the boppers developed because they depend on super-cooled superconducting circuits. In that year, Anderson is a pheezer — a freaky geezer, Rucker's depiction of elderly Baby Boomers— living in poverty in Florida and terrified because he lacks the money to buy a new artificial heart to replace his failing, secondhand one.
As the story begins, Anderson is approached by a robot duplicate of himself who invites him to the Moon to be given immortality. Meanwhile, the series' other main character, Sta-Hi Mooney the 1st — born Stanley Hilary Mooney Jr. — a 25-year-old cab driver and "brainsurfer", is kidnapped by a gang of serial killers known as the Little Kidders who almost eat his brain. When Anderson and Mooney travel to the Moon together at the boppers' expense, they find that these events are closely related: the "immortality" given to Anderson turns out to be having his mind transferred into software via the same brain-destroying technique used by the Little Kidders.
Code freeze is when developers stop making changes to the code to prevent unexpected features and bugs from being released.
It usually happens in the final stage of software development or at a critical time for a given site/app, like the holiday season for e-commerce platforms.
Code freeze allows fixes for critical issues.

SUMMARY
=======
Common types of freezes are:
A (complete) specification freeze, in which the parties involved decide not to add any new requirement, specification, or feature to the feature list of a software project, so as to begin coding work.
A (complete) code freeze, in which no changes whatsoever are permitted to a portion or the entirety of the program's source code. Particularly in large software systems, any change to the source code may have unintended consequences, potentially introducing new bugs; thus, a code freeze helps ensure that a portion of the program that is known to work correctly will continue to do so. Code freezes are often employed in the final stages of development, when a particular release or iteration is being tested, but may also be used to prevent changes to one portion of a program while another is undergoing development. For example: "physics freeze" means no changes whatsoever will be permitted to the physics portion of the code.

Tech worker Brittany Pietsch is receiving mixed reactions for recording herself getting fired. Pietsch worked in sales at the tech company CloudFlare for just four months when she was told by two HR representatives that she was getting the boot. The CEO of CloudFlare expressed sympathy for Pietsch. The video is painful, says Matthew Prince. The mistake was not being more kind and humane.

Code freeze is when developers stop making changes to the code to prevent unexpected features and bugs from being released.
It usually happens in the final stage of software development or at a critical time for a given site/app, like the holiday season for e-commerce platforms.
Code freeze allows fixes for critical issues.
Have you ever been in a code freeze?
The T-shirt and hoodie are from the @byte.this.coding store
Check out their profile and pages for awesome coding-related items - clothes, mugs to computer accessories.
They also have an awesome coding lo-fi playlist on YT - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_5QRRWByj6Y link is also on my links page
Thank you @byte.this.coding for sending me the awesome t-shirt and hoodie.
What is Code Freeze? What does code freeze mean?
Cold freeze means code is frozen and there will not be any further modifications from the developers. It allows QA(Quality assure) to test, find bugs without developers pushing new features where it might introduce new bugs.

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills

- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain
Now learn the vast amount of general knowledge available on Wikipedia through audio (audio article). You could even learn subconsciously by playing the audio while you are sleeping! SUMMARY
=======
Common types of freezes are:
A (complete) specification freeze, in which the parties involved decide not to add any new requirement, specification, or feature to the feature list of a software project, so as to begin coding work.
