1. Strophe
Gott segne Sachsenland,
wo fest die Treue stand
in Sturm und Nacht!
Ew’ge Gerechtigkeit,
hoch überm Meer der Zeit,
die jedem Sturm gebeut,
schütz uns mit Macht!
Variante 2
Blühe, du Rautenkranz
in schöner Tage Glanz
freudig empor!
Heil, Landesvater, Dir,
Heil Landesmutter, Dir,
Euch beide segnen wir
liebend im Chor!
3. Strophe
Was treue Herzen flehn,
steigt zu des Himmels Höh’n
aus Nacht zum Licht.
Der unsre Liebe sah,
der unsre Tränen sah,
er ist uns hilfreich nah,
verlässt uns nicht.
4. Strophe

More information about the video content bellow:
1. Saxony has, after Saxony Anhalt, the most vibrant economy of the states of the former East Germany. Saxony is also one of the most renowned tourist destinations in Germany - especially the cities of Leipzig and Dresden and their surroundings.
2. The history of the state of Saxony spans more than a millennium. It has been a medieval duchy, an electorate of the Holy Roman Empire, a kingdom, and twice a republic. As World War II drew to its end, U.S. troops under General George Patton occupied the western part of Saxony in April 1945, while Soviet troops occupied the eastern part. That summer, the entire state was handed over to Soviet forces as agreed in the London Protocol of September 1944. Britain, the US, and the USSR then negotiated Germany's future at the Potsdam Conference. Under the Potsdam Agreement, all German territory East of the Oder-Neisse line was annexed by Poland and the Soviet Union, and, unlike in the aftermath of World War I, the annexing powers were allowed to expel the inhabitants. During the following three years, Poland and Czechoslovakia forcibly expelled German-speaking people from their territories, and some of these expellees came to Saxony.
3. Dresden has a long history as the capital and royal residence for the Electors and Kings of Saxony, who for centuries furnished the city with cultural and artistic splendor, and was once by personal union the family seat of Polish monarchs. The city was known as the Jewel Box, because of its baroque and rococo city centre. The controversial American and British bombing of Dresden in World War II towards the end of the war killed approximately 25,000 people, many of whom were civilians, and destroyed the entire city centre.
4. Dresden has the most beautiful milk shop in the world. Pfunds Molkerei is in the new town area and is decorated with neo-Renaissance tiles. Pfunds Dairy is considered the most beautiful dairy shop in the world and was added in 1998 to the Guinness Book of World Records.
5. The United Nations' cultural organization UNESCO declared the Dresden Elbe Valley to be a World Heritage Site in 2004. After being placed on the list of endangered World Heritage Sites in 2006, the city lost the title in June 2009, due to the construction of the Waldschlößchenbrücke, making it only the second ever World Heritage Site to be removed from the register.
6. Toothpaste was invented in Dresden. Pharmacist Ottomar Heinsius von Mayenburg produced the first version of this now common product in 1907.
7. The coffee filter was invented in Dresden. In 1908, Amalie Melitta Bentz thought of using paper to prevent the grounds from getting into coffee cups. Her name is still present in the filter company Melitta, although it is not based in Dresden anymore.

1. Lower Saxony s a German state situated in northwestern Germany. It is the second-largest state by land area, with 47,624 km2, and fourth-largest in population (7.9 million) among the 16 Länder federated as the Federal Republic of Germany.
2. Lower Saxony’s capital Hanover looks back on a long history as a city of international importance. Today the city enjoys a great reputation as one of the major trade fair hubs. In 2000, Hanover Fair hosted the World Exposition EXPO2000. Each year in spring, Hanover Fair hosts CeBIT, the largest annual IT trade show.
3. Carmaker Volkswagen is headquartered in the city of Wolfsburg. There is a saying that goes, "when Wolfsburg coughs, Lower Saxony catches the flu." More than 50 million VWs have already come off the assembly line there. A quarter of industrial jobs are tied to the automobile industry and its subcontractors.
4. From 1714 to 1837, Hanover was by personal union the family seat of the Hanoverian Kings of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, under their title of the dukes of Brunswick-Lüneburg (later described as the Elector of Hanover).
5. Trace the footsteps of the iconic Pied Piper at Hamelin. Yes, the town, or for that matter, the story of the Pied Piper, were not mere products of the Brothers Grimm’s imagination but were inspired by real events. Locals would be only too happy to share with you legends that seem to indicate that one fateful day many centuries ago, all the children of the town did disappear. All over town, you will find tributes to the beloved fairy tale in the form of souvenirs, sculptures, graphics and even themed edibles.
6. The tall tales surrounding a character named Baron Münchausen are based on a real person who was born in Lower Saxony (Bodenwerde) in 1720. Hieronymus Karl Friedrich von Münchhausen was a self-declared adventurer and daredevil. After reportedly fighting in several wars, he retired at the young age of 30 and resorted to storytelling and hunting. The 1780s saw the publication of increasingly exaggerated stories and anecdotes about his life in both English and German.
7. A product presented at the 1893 World Exhibition in Chicago was to become one of Germany’s most well-known branded food products — the Leibniz Keks. The entrepreneurial muse took hold of Hermann Bahlsen when he was working in the sugar trade in Great Britain. He returned to Germany, more precisely to Hanover and, in 1889, founded the “Hannoversche Cakesfabrik H. Bahlsen.

More information about the video content bellow:
Bahlsen.
