Pointer worked as a postman in North Pole, Alaska, not knowing he was a mutant with the ability to absorb the energy, abilities, and even personalities of other mutants. He inadvertently became the focal point of the mutant energy displaced after the Decimation event, which had previously hovered above Earth, maintaining the disembodied mind of the deceased mutant Xorn, amongst others. After absorbing the energy, Pointer became the being known as the Collective. With his body possessed by Xorn's consciousness, Pointer went on a rampage across North America, killing over 2,000 people. Upon entering Canada, the Collective killed most of the original members of Alpha Flight. In Cleveland, outside the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, he faced Iron Man, Ms. Marvel and the Sentry in battle. Through that encounter, Spider-Man and the Vision, with the assistance of S.H.I.E.L.D., were able to determine the nature of his powers.
Jazz is the seventh studio album by British rock band Queen, released on 10 November 1978. Roy Thomas Baker temporarily reunited with the band and became their producer; it was three years since he co-produced their 1975 album A Night at the Opera, but this album also was the last he co-produced for the band. The album's varying musical styles were alternately praised and criticised. It reached #2 in the UK Albums Chart and #6 on the US Billboard 200. Jazz has sold over 5 million copies to date.
Reception
Critical reaction upon release was mixed, with scathing reviews from the likes of Rolling Stone and Creem. It was subject to a viciously condemning Rolling Stone review by Dave Marsh, which included the suggestion that "Queen may be the first truly fascist rock band". Paul Rees of Q awarded the record four stars, and wrote, "Their most underrated album, like A Night at the Opera it took in a wild array of musical styles."
Song information
"Mustapha"
"Mustapha" is a song written by Freddie Mercury. It was released as a single in 1979.
The album's title track is a cover of the 1977 Deniece Williamssong. UK soul singer Corinne Bailey Rae provided lead vocals. "Higher Ground" is a song originally recorded by Stevie Wonder, and "What Is Hip" was originally performed by Tower of Power. "Jean Pierre" was originally performed by Miles Davis (On "We Want Miles", 1982). Blues singer Keb' Mo' performs lead vocals and co-wrote with Marcus Miller the track entitled "Milky Way".
The album's US version has not only a new title, Marcus, but the tracks have been remixed/recut. Four additional tracks have been added to the album as well.
Track listing
All tracks produced by Marcus Miller and David Isaac.
Free, is the fifth album from the Filipinorock band, Rivermaya. It has 10 tracks and was released independently on the internet, literally given away for free which is another first for any Filipino artist. “Free” was also named Album of the Year in the NU Rock Awards 2000 & is the last album with Nathan Azarcon.
The song "Imbecillesque" was re-released on their 2005 EP entitled "You'll Be Safe Here". The song "Straight No Chaser" was later covered by actor and reggae artist Boy2 Quizon.
On the back cover of the album, tracks #7 and #8 were typed incorrectly as in the order of the songs in the album.

Expect an exploration of dissonant harmonies, collective improvisations, and unrestrained solos ... Indeed, he's supported by a group of musicians adept at navigating free jazz's uncharted territories.
The band's arrangements are semi-free, moving between strong grooves and freewheeling collective improvisation ... The album is a mixture of free improvisation and pre-composition, but such is the degree ...
