What Is Systems Engineering? | Systems Engineering, Part 1
This video covers what systems engineering is and why it’s useful. We will present a broad overview of how systems engineering helps us develop complex projects that meet the program objectives in an efficient way. This introduction will set the stage for the rest of the series where we will cover how system architectures are developed and described, how we communicate the needs, requirements, and constraints throughout the project, how we optimize the design through trade studies, and how we know the system does what it’s supposed to in the end.

1. Anforderungsmanagement:
https://youtu.be/yH1ZOzsDfjk
2. Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE):

This was recorded at Toastmasters where I was preparing for a much longer tutorial with a bunch of year 9 students in the Royal Institute Engineering Masterclass. The full presentation and workshop is found here - https://goo.gl/GHFpcC. I recommend opening in powerpoint so the fonts work correctly.
The teachers involved actually set up a rival team to the kids because they enjoyed it so much. If you find this useful please leave me a message. I think the final presentation was clearer as I added examples relating to mobile phones to relate to the kids, but you get the idea!
Enjoy!

Description: Systems engineering is an interdisciplinary field of engineering and engineering management that focuses on how to design and manage complex systems over their life cycles. At its core, systems engineering utilizes systems thinking principles to organize this body of knowledge. Issues such as requirements engineering, reliability, logistics, coordination of different teams, testing and evaluation, maintainability and many other disciplines necessary for successful system development, design, implementation, and ultimate decommission become more difficult when dealing with large or complex projects. Systems engineering deals with work-processes, optimization methods, and risk management tools in such projects. It overlaps technical and human-centered disciplines such as industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, control engineering, software engineering, electrical engineering, cybernetics, organizational studies, civil engineering and project management. Systems engineering ensures that all likely aspects of a project or system are considered, and integrated into a whole. The systems engineering process is a discovery process that is quite unlike a manufacturing process. A manufacturing process is focused on repetitive activities that achieve high quality outputs with minimum cost and time. The systems engineering process must begin by discovering the real problems that need to be resolved, and identify the most probable or highest impact failures that can occur – systems engineering involves finding solutions to these problems.

Thermodynamics: Crash Course Physics #23
Have you ever heard of a perpetual motion machine? More to the point, have you ever heard of why perpetual motion machines are impossible? One of the reasons is because of the first law of thermodynamics! In this episode of Crash Course Physics, Shini talks to us about thermodynamics and entropy. Also, we learn about isovolumetric, isobaric, isothermal, and adiabatic processes. It'll all make sense in a minute!

The First Law of Thermodynamics: Internal Energy, Heat, and Work
In chemistry we talked about the first law of thermodynamics as being the law of conservation of energy, and that's one way of looking at it, but physicists like doing math more than chemists do, so let's talk about the first law in terms of an equation. You like equations by now, don't you? You should!

Adiabatic Process ( Classroom Demonstration)
If there is no exchange of heat between system and surrounding then it is called adiabatic process for this to be happen the walls of the system should be 100% heat insulator or the process should be very fast or both
Here there is smoke trapped in partially filled water , if we sudden increase pressure , heat generated and so moisture converts into water vapour so it becomes transparent and if we suddenly release the pressure the water vapour condenses to microscopical droplets so it becomes translucent

Thermodynamics and P-V Diagrams
085 - Thermodynamics and P-V Diagrams
In this video Paul Andersen explains how the First Law of Thermodynamics applies to an ideal gas in a piston. A pressure-volume graph can be used to determine the type of thermodynamic process. Included is a discussion of and P-V diagram for isothermal, isovolumetric, isobaric, and adiabatic process.
