HARPS FOR HOPE/FIACHRA Ó CORRAGÁIN/Musician/Composer
This is Fiachra Ó Corragáin!
Fiachra Ó Corragáin is Irish, and I found out he's not a personal trainer! You're all shocked, I know.
Maybe he is, but I couldn't find any evidence of that. He actually plays music and models, which is a pleasant change.
Although I haven't listened to any of his music, it appears from the pictures I've seen of him that he primarily plays traditional instruments like the harp and accordion.
We're here to appreciate this hairy young hunk for his modeling work, though I'll definitely check that out at some point.
Greetings from Admire Adam! We have a little request before we go any farther. If you enjoy what you see, please consider supporting us by subscribing to our channel. We'll be very grateful for it! Thank you!

Púca (Ghost)
Púca I can see you
In the corners of my vision.
I try to ignore you:
You are but an apparition;
A flicker of my mind,
Someone I should leave behind.
Now I need my head to clear
So I beg you: disappear.
There’s a chill in air,
Footstep on the stair.
A scratch on the door
I can take no more
I say now, deirimse: (I say)
Púca, púca, púca, (ghost, ghost, ghost)
Imigh uaim púca, púca, púca. (leave me alone ghost, ghost, ghost)
Lig dom mo shúile a dhúnadh, dúnadh, dúnta, (let me close my eyes, closing, closed)
Imigh uaim púca, (leave me alone ghost)
Nó tóg leat mé a phúca, (or take me with you ghost)
Púca, púca (ghost, ghost)
Nuair a bhímse múchta (when I am silent)
You gallop through my dreams
Riding on a nightmare,
Running through my conscious stream.
Tá mo chroí ag bualadh (my heart is beating)
So I know I am alive;
Then why does it feel
Like my heart has turned to ice?
This taunting haunting,
It keeps me wanting
For the chance to say
I lár na hóiche a dherimse: (In the middle of the night I say)
Púca, púca, púca, (ghost, ghost, ghost)
Imigh uaim púca, púca, púca. (leave me alone ghost, ghost, ghost)
Lig dom mo shúile a dhúnadh, dúnadh, dúnta, (let me close my eyes, closing, closed)
Imigh uaim púca, (leave me alone ghost)
Nó tóg leat mé a phúca, (or take me with you ghost)
Púca, púca (ghost, ghost)
I mo cheannsa, I mo pheannsa, (in my head, in my pen)
I mo theannta ar na tonnta. (beside me on the waves)
Tá mé ar mo ghlúine, gúim ort (I am on my knees, I pray to you}
Déan trócaire orm, scaoil uaim ón ngort. (Take mercy on me, release me from the hurt)
You’re moving in a constant loop
Though me just to keep me shook.
If I surrender to forgiving
Will you take me back to the land of the living?
Púca, púca, púca, (ghost, ghost, ghost)
Imigh uaim púca, púca, púca. (leave me alone ghost, ghost, ghost)

Cad É Sin is an old traditional Irish song. I found this version of the melody and lyrics in Cas Amhrán song book.
Cad é sin? Translation from Irish:
Intro:
Lying in my bed, I’ll sell a cow,
or go to sleep and continue forever,
It doesn’t affect you, it doesn’t affect him.
Verse 1:
I’ll go to the market and I’ll sell a cow,
I’ll go to the market and I’ll sell two cows,
I’ll drink a shilling and gamble a crown,
And what would that matter to those who are unaffected?
Verse 2:
There’s a lovely young girl named Moore,
Her neck is like a swan and her face has no flaws,
If she and I sailed away before Lent,
What would that matter to those who are unaffected?
Verse 3:
If I lay in bed as a joke or in sorrow,
If I stooped in tears with happiness or terror,
If I turned into a deranged person and never sang again,
What would that matter to those who are unaffected?
Verse 4:
If I married an orangewoman and I stretched out on ice,
If I put my little pet goat to sleep,
If I ran with frenzy and kissed my cow,
What would that matter to those who are unaffected?
Verse 5:
If I travelled quickly with a bottomless can
And drained water from the stormy perilous sea until I had a bloody nose,
If I continued draining without stopping forever,
What would that matter to those who are unaffected?

The Parting Glass is a song of Scottish origin and its earliest printed version appears in the 1700s, although phrases of the lyrics date to 1605. The song also became known in Ireland, first appearing in Irish print in the early 1800s. It has maintained a singular beloved status in Ireland. Many iconic versions, including recordings and performances by Liam Clancy and The Clancy Brothers, have continued to sustain the song's treasured place in the collective heart of Ireland, and the world.
More on the history of the song here: http://www.justanothertune.com/html/partingglass.html
I believe the magic of The Parting Glass lies in its emotional yet restrained contemplation of loss. The speaker's goodbye is inevitable and the lyrics evoke the parting of friends, of lovers, and perhaps, even of life. In the gentle rise and soft call of the speaker, beautiful words of reflection, regret, and recognition reverberate in our minds, triggering our own introspections of loss. The song is a loving surrender, an acceptance of circumstances, and a wish for joy for the friends and listeners who will be left behind.
The ring in the video is a Claddagh ring, a traditional Irish jewellery piece that originates in the Claddagh, Co. Galway, where my grandmother and her family were from. The ring can be worn on different fingers and hands to represent marital and relationship statuses. The heart represents love, the hands represent friendship, and the crown represents loyalty. These are precious gifts that we should give freely and fiercely to the special people in our lives. If we are fortunate, we will be blessed to receive them ourselves.
In 2020 and far beyond, wishing joy to you all,
Fiachra
The Parting Glass LYRICS:
Of all the money that e'er I had
I spent it in good company
And all the harm that e'er I've done
Alas, it was to none but me
And all I've done for want of wit
To memory now, I can't recall
So fill to me the parting glass
Goodnight and joy be to you all
Of all the comrades that e'er I've had
They're sorry for my going away
And all the sweethearts that e'er I've had
They'd wish me one more day to stay
But since it fell into my lot
That I should rise and you should not
I'll gently rise and softly call
Goodnight and joy be to you all

The researcher, musician, and composer Dr. Fiachra Corragáin is from Cork County. His primary instrument is the harp, but he also plays the concertina, fiddle, accordion, piano, voice, and organ, just like Bunting.
Fiachra's work honors the musical legacies of the past with careful research and considerate consideration while also looking to the future with fresh insight and innovation.
Fiachra completed a double first-class honors degree in music and irish at University College Cork, earning one of the five highest music grades ever given by the institution.
Fiachra began his doctoral studies in composition at the historically young age of 21, specializing in writing music for dance and narrative musical composition at University College Cork. He received his PhD in composition in 2016, becoming the university's youngest music doctoral graduate ever.
The Bunting Archive project is a continuation of Fiachra's efforts to preserve music. The Henebry/O'Neill collection's wax cylinder recordings were transcribed by Fiachra and are available here. Additionally, Fiachra produced a Hidden Gems series of videos and recordings, which explored the music Captain Francis O'Neill collected and developed arrangements and performances of little-known songs.
In honor of Prince Charles's visit to Cork in 2018, Fiachra was asked to write and perform Planxty Prince Charles. Numerous commemorative "planxty" compositions by Fiachra have revived the traditions of early Irish harper composers, exemplified by people like Turlough O'Carolan.
On Irish television and radio, Fiachra has made numerous appearances on shows like Nationwide, Miriam Meets, Sunday Miscellany, Feis and Blood, and Lorcan Murray's Classic Drive on Lyric FM.
Fiachra’s discography has received national radio airplay and a placement in an RTÉ ad. Recordings include Hidden Gems (2014), The Enchantment (2016), and Cas (2019). Fiachra’s visual outputs such as White Horse, Tá na Báid, and Cad é Sin, focus on nature and landscape, as well as the intersection of music, dance, narrative, and art.
Fiachra has composed and produced music for stage and screen, including the Canadian short film Sídhe, and productions for Ériu Dance Company; Walls Talk (2018) and Salómae (2019). Salómae’s original score was composed and recorded by Fiachra and the production premiered in 2019 in An Taibhdhearc theatre, Galway.
So, have talent, beauty, and brains!
He appears to play the harp most frequently, which is a difficult instrument to master. But I'm sure he plays more than just that one. When it comes to music, the Irish have some serious talent.
Naturally, we're more intrigued by his physical characteristics.
He has such an amazing physique and is such a buff young hairy jock boy. He obviously frequents the gym for his workouts. And he looks even hotter to me with that scruffy look. Of course, he is also very attractive.
We all want him to have as much success with his music as possible, but we also selfishly want him to have success as a model.
