Homophobia
According to The Jamaica Online Star, during a performance at the Grand Gala on Tuesday, 6 August 2013, Queen Ifrica made statements glorifying male straightness and heterosexual marriage. The Jamaica Forum of Lesbians, All-Sexuals and Gays (JFLAG) expressed disappointment over anti-gay statements stating that her sentiments are an example of the constant prejudice that is being allowed to take prominence on the national stage in Jamaica. They also stated that the remarks she made bears some resemblance to statements fellow reggae recording artiste Tony Rebel made at the same event last year. Her response was, "Like myself, I think they are exercising their right to speak for what they believe in. However, I think it is unfair for them to incriminate me when there is no incrimination there. I simply spoke for what I believed in. They should simply speak from what they believe in but not try to tarnish my character in the process." She went on to say, "I never caused the beheading of anyone. If I did then there would be a problem. Until a member of the gay community can give birth from their union they should not be abrasive to heterosexuals, because they came from that union."

Prelude: Are you ready, oo oo oo ooo (x4) When the roll is called out, I'll be standing tall up To face the darkest and the hardest of times. We'll be taking care of, all the children thereof, But if it's required we'll be on the frontline. Chorus You can call me by my name I am ready to roll; Once the rules remain the same How the story's been told; Call me anytime, never cop out, Lioness is on the rise Don't you ever have doubt. Never say never, willingness forever to fight, and be strong Once it's for better i'll every letter and moving right along And i'll roll with the punches, accept the changes; Work with the formula, do what I have to do. Chorus And call be by my name I am ready to roll; Once the rules remain the same How the story's been told; Call me anytime, never cop out, Lioness is on the rise Don't you ever have doubt. When you are willing to serve, we have room to observe To see if you can walk the walk you talk. Let me give you my word, my voice must be heard. Bravery is the beast of my heart. Chorus Call be by my name I am ready to roll; Once the rules remain the same How the story's been told; Call me anytime, never cop out, Lioness is on the rise Don't you ever have doubt. Repeat vs 1 When the roll is called out, I'll be standing tall up To face the darkest and the hardest of times. We'll be taking care of, all the children thereof, But if it's required we'll be on the frontline. Chorus You can call me by my name I am ready to roll; Once the rules remain the same How the story's been told; Call me anytime, never cop out, Lioness is on the rise Don't you ever have doubt.
