Šherida is one of the oldest Mesopotamian gods, attested in inscriptions from pre-Sargonic times, her name (as "Aya") was a popular personal name during the Ur III period (21st-20th century BCE), making her among the oldest Semitic deities known in the region. As the Sumerian pantheon formalized, Utu became the primary sun god, and Šherida was syncretized into a subordinate role as an aspect of the sun alongside other less powerful solar deities (c.f. Ninurta) and took on the role of Utu's consort.
When the SemiticAkkadians moved into Mesopotamia, their pantheon became syncretized to the Sumerian. Inanna to Ishtar, Nanna to Sin, Utu to Shamash, etc. The minor Mesopotamian sun goddess Aya became syncretized into Šherida during this process. The goddess Aya in this aspect appears to have had wide currency among Semitic peoples, as she is mentioned in god-lists in Ugarit and shows up in personal names in the Bible (Gen 36:24, Sam 3:7, 1 Chr 7:28).

Love is a 2006 theatrical production by Cirque du Soleil which combines the re-produced and re-imagined music of the Beatles with an interpretive, circus-based artistic and athletic stage performance. The show plays at a specially built theatre at the Mirage in Las Vegas.
A joint venture between Cirque and the Beatles' Apple Corps Ltd, it is the first theatrical production that Apple Corps Ltd. has partnered in. Love is written and directed by Dominic Champagne. Music directors are Sir George Martin, producer of nearly all of the Beatles' records, and his son, record producer Giles Martin. A soundtrack album of the show was released in November 2006.
History
The project arose from discussions in 2000 between George Harrison and his friend Guy Laliberté, one of Cirque's founders. Three years of negotiations between surviving members of the Beatles, Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, The Beatles widows Olivia Harrison (representing George Harrison) and Yoko Ono (representing John Lennon), the Beatles' holding company Apple Corps Ltd. and the MGM Mirage culminated in an agreement.

"Model" (Aya) (1990 Analog HDTV MUSE Hi-Vision Laserdisc Footage)
This is a segment from the Sony's original high-definition laserdisc called "The Test Disc" (00MW-0009) released only in Japan in 1995. This segment was originally featured on an earlier Sony HD production from 1990 called "Metamorphosis". That's right, folks! There was such a thing as a high-definition 12" laserdisc! Japan had an early high-definition analog high-definition format called MUSE in the early 1990's. It was equivalent in resolution to the 1080i picture we receive over the air today with a slight crop (as its technically 1125i/1035i) along with up to 4 channels of surround sound digital audio. While the majority of the content was broadcast over satellite, a large amount of content was also released on the so-called "Hi-Vision LD" format. Playing back these discs required a s...

While the majority of the content was broadcast over satellite, a large amount of content was also released on the so-called "Hi-Vision LD" format. Playing back these discs required a special (pretty expensive) decoder, a special (quite expensive) player, and a special (very expensive) HD CRT (tube) TV. As a result, only the wealthy, dedicated A/V nerds purchased these set-ups. At the time, that was more people than you might think due to an economic bubble Japan was in at the time.
A lot of the content released on Hi-Vision LD were movies but, unfortunately, many of the film conversions were not so good. Usually, the direct to tape demo discs were the best looking releases. This segment from The Test Disc is commonly considered one of the best. I figured that fact would make it a great "restarting" of this channel.
There is a lot to read about the Hi-Vision LD & MUSE format all over the internet so please give it a Google!

This was played back using a Pioneer HLD-X0 with a Victor HD-MV2 MUSE decoder, both of which are completely original & unrestored. I would assume that if I replaced the capacitors in the unit it might look a little sharper. I'm also still playing with encoding settings so perhaps I can get a slightly sharper output in a future video. Uploaded in upscaled 4K ProRes for extra clarity.
