Fellner went to Cranleigh School in Surrey, England from 1972 to 1977. He attended the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. He is a good friend of Hugh Grant, who is the star of some of Working Title's biggest box office hits. Fellner and his long-time partner, model Laura Bailey, have two children together.
Working Title Films signed a deal with Universal Studios in 1999 for a reported $600 (USD) million, which gave Bevan and Fellner the power to commission projects with a budget of up to $35 (USD) million without having to consult their paymasters. It is now Britain’s largest production company with offices in London and Los Angeles. Successes include Four Weddings and a Funeral (1994) which has grossed over $250 (USD) million worldwide. Dead Man Walking and Fargo won Oscars in 1996 and 1997 respectively, while Elizabeth (1998) and Atonement (2007) were both nominated for the Best PictureAcademy Award.
The Academy Awards, or "Oscars", is an annual American awards ceremony hosted by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to recognise excellence in cinematic achievements in the film industry as assessed by the Academy's voting membership. The various category winners are awarded a copy of a statuette, officially called the Academy Award of Merit, which has become commonly known by its nickname "Oscar". The awards, first presented in 1929 at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, are overseen by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS).
The awards ceremony was first broadcast to radio in 1930 and televised in 1953. It is now seen live in more than 200 countries and can be streamed live online. The Oscars is the oldest entertainment awards ceremony; its equivalents, the Emmy Awards for television, the Tony Awards for theatre, and the Grammy Awards for music and recording, are modeled after the Academy Awards.
88th Academy Awards
The 88th Academy Awards ceremony will be held at the Dolby Theatre on February 28, 2016 and hosted by Chris Rock. A total of 2,947 Oscars have been awarded since the inception of the award through the 87th. The 88th awards ceremony has become the target of a potential boycott, based on critics' perception that its all-white acting nominee list reflects bias. In response, the Academy has initiated "historic" changes in membership by the year 2020.

Within days of becoming Prime Minister of Great Britain, Winston Churchill (Gary Oldman) must face one of his most turbulent and defining trials: exploring a negotiated peace treaty with Nazi Germany, or standing firm to fight for the ideals, liberty and freedom of a nation. As the unstoppable Nazi forces roll across Western Europe and the threat of invasion is imminent, and with an unprepared public, a skeptical King, and his own party plotting against him, Churchill must withstand his darkest hour, rally a nation, and attempt to change the course of world history.
Darkest Hour is released in the US on the 22nd of November, and the 12th of January, 2018 in the UK.

Interview with Working Title producers Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner about the experience of making Les Miserables, the creative role of producers and the future of shooting on film.
