Ellen Lorraine Reid (born 14 July 1966 in Selkirk, Manitoba, Canada) is a Canadian musician. She provides backing vocals, piano, keyboards and accordion for the Canadian rock band Crash Test Dummies. Her vocal sounds might be based on a young Cher.
In 2001, Reid released her debut solo album, Cinderellen.
In 2002 Reid took part in the recording of the Crash Test Dummies' Christmas album, entitled Jingle All the Way. In 2004 she was also involved in the recording of the Dummies' Songs of the Unforgiven album. The Crash Test Dummies, with Brad Roberts, Ellen Reid and Stuart Cameron, have continued to record and tour throughout 2010/2011.

Lyrics:
I want it cheap, I want it now
I want it fast, and I want it with feeling
I want it deep, I want a vow
I want it to last, and I want it with meaning
I will come and get you in the morning
We'll just go and not give any warning
I am the cheap, I'm right here now
I'm moving fast, and I've got the feeling
I'm going deep, I've made my vow
It is my last, and it's the one I'm keeping
I will come and get you in the morning
We'll just go and not give any warning
I will come and get you in the morning
I'm on my game, I walk the walk
I smell the smell, and I feel the feeling
It's in my name, I talk the talk
I ring the bell, and I do the dealing
I am the name, I am the walk
I've got the smell, and I've got the feeling
I'm going deep, I'm going fast
I'm going now, and I'm going with meaning

Peter Pumpkinhead came to town
Spreading wisdom and cash around
Fed the starving and housed the poor
Showed the Vatican what gold's for
But he made too many enemies
Of the people who would keep us on our knees
Hooray for Peter Pumpkin
Who'll pray for Peter Pumpkinhead?
Peter Pumpkinhead brought to shame
Governments who would slur his name
Lusts and sex scandals failed outright

#CrashTestDummies #GetYouInTheMorning
I will come and get you in the morning
We'll just go and not give any warning
I will come and get you in the morning
We'll just go and not give any warning
I will come and get you in the morning
We'll just go and not give any warning
I will come and get you in the morning
The World Premiere of Pulitzer Prize winner Ellen Reid’s “When the World as You’ve Known It Doesn’t Exist” — featuring sopranos Eliza Bagg, Martha Cluver, and Estelí Gomez — continues “Project 19,” the New York Philharmonic’s multi-season initiative commissioning 19 new works by 19 women composers to celebrate the centennial of the 19th Amendment.
Ellen Reid’s piece is led by Music Director Jaap van Zweden and can be heard alongside music by Anders Hillborg and Björk, sung by Renée Fleming, and Bruckner’s Symphony No. 4, Feb 20–22.

This is the third in a series of video profiles of Project 19 composers created by women filmmakers. Carole Ann Wright's profile of Ellen Reid explores the physicality of Reid's writing process and the images — a golden arrow and momentum — she had in mind for her Philharmonic commission.

Van Gogh paints a picture Of sunflowers out in a field Lennon writes a melody with words About love and peace What do they know Says the big fat man From the elephant show You won't get further than the Malt Mill baby The paint's too bright and your beat's not steady It's not quite right Go do it again If you can Just do it again It's not quite right Go do it again If you can Just do it again Just do it again Shakespeare pens a sonnet Says it's his best by far Newton finds that force is equal Til you push them apart But what do they know Says the two faced lady From the elephant show You won't get further than a gig at the docks
