The DISGUSTING Evil Of Thomas Seymour - The Abuser Of Elizabeth I
There are many people that throughout the Tudor Period were associated with execution, scandal and shocking behaviour. But one of the most despicable and disgraceful men of Henry VIII’s court and later Edward VI’s advisory council was Thomas Seymour. The 1st Baron Seymour of Sudeley was a jealous and vindictive man who wished greatly to become one of the most powerful men in the country. Many would fight for power inside especially the boy King Edward VI’s court but few would go to the lengths that Thomas Seymour did. He’s a man linked to the abuse and inappropriate treatment of Princess Elizabeth, the future Elizabeth I and he was later executed for a huge number of accusations of treason. But what did he do which was so e...

Tudor Queen Consorts, the Grey Sisters and Elizabeth Seymour, Lady Cromwell
When we began planning episode 103, I don't think we imagined that it would be a themed episode. This episode we were fortunate enough to have both Elizabeth Norton and Leanda de Lisle on to talk about women, or women near the throne. Elizabeth chats with me about queen consorts (oh the fun!), and Leanda is asked YOUR submitted questions on the Grey sisters. Then I teach you a bit about Elizabeth Seymour (sister to Queen Jane) in A Brief History.
And, as a treat to all listeners, everyone gets access to Elizabeth Norton's full answers in "IF I Made You Choose" this episode! As patrons you will now (after this episode) receive early access to the answers prior to the public.

The EVIL Predator Who Groomed Elizabeth I - Thomas Seymour
Throughout the Tudor period there were many men who were incredibly dangerous. For example Thomas Cromwell the chief advisor of Henry VIII was a man who would throw monks out of their homes, and would craft and manipulate the truth to condemn one of Henry’s wives to death. Even Sir Thomas More, who is considered today a saintly figure was known for beating Protestants and those suspected of being heretics. It was a very dangerous time, and Henry VIII would even execute both of the men mentioned before who were claimed to have been close with the Tudor Monarch. But there was one man who was known for being incredibly sly, crafty and disturbing in his attitude towards a young princess, the future Queen Elizabeth I. Thomas Seymour was the creepy uncle of Edward VI the successor of Henry VIII,...

Reading Jane Seymour: Queen of England
As I stated in last week's video (https://youtu.be/ZWIn7ZJui48), I plan on having a video dedicated to each of King Henry VIII's in their own right. Today it's Queen Jane Seymour's turn... I think she was far more interesting than the compliant milksop that history often paints her as. I wonder if you will agree?

What happened to CATHERINE PARR’S DAUGHTER, Lady Mary Seymour? Elizabeth I’s step-sister | Tudors
WHAT HAPPENED to Lady Mary Seymour, the only child of Queen Catherine Parr and Elizabeth I’s step-sister? Born on 30 August 1548, Mary was the child of Catherine’s fourth husband, Thomas Seymour, first Baron Seymour of Sudeley and was therefore a first cousin of King Edward VI, whose mother, Jane Seymour had been the third wife of Henry VIII. Catherine of course, had been his sixth, so little Mary was very well connected and she was named after her other step-sister, Mary Tudor, later Mary I. Tragically, just days after her birth, the little girl’s mother died of childbed fever leaving her great wealth to her husband. Mary was sent to live in the household of her uncle, Edward Seymour, Duke of Somerset, but after her father’s disgrace and execution the following year, the entirety of the S...

I hope you enjoy this video and find it interesting!

Mary was sent to live in the household of her uncle, Edward Seymour, Duke of Somerset, but after her father’s disgrace and execution the following year, the entirety of the Seymour-Parr wealth was forfeited and she was left a penniless orphan. Taken in by her mother’s friend, Katherine Willoughby, Duchess of Suffolk, she disappears from the historical record in 1550 at the age of two. So what happened to Catherine Parr’s daughter? Did she grow up and marry during the reign of her step-sister, Elizabeth I or or did she die as a toddler like so many children of her era? In this Tudor history documentary from History Calling we look into the mysterious disappearance of the almost royal Lady Mary Seymour, consider the theories as to what happened to her and ask, how strange is it that a girl like this seems to have dropped off the face of the planet?
