Ed Wood (1995) - "No One Gives Two Fucks for Bela"
One of my favorite moments from Ed Wood (1995) Dir. Tim Burton, from the exceptional script by Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski that should have also won an Oscar. Ed Wood is played by Johnny Depp, Dolores Fuller is played by Sarah Jessica Parker, and Bela Lugosi is played by Martin Landau, who won a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his performance.

In California, an old man (Bela Lugosi) grieves the loss of his wife (Vampira) and on the next day he also dies. However, the space soldier Eros and her mate Tanna use an electric device to resurrect them both and the strong Inspector Clay (Tor Johnson) that was murdered by the couple. Their intention is not to conquer Earth but to stop mankind from developing the powerful bomb "Solobonite" that would threaten the universe. When the population of Hollywood and Washington DC sees flying saucers on the sky, a colonel, a police lieutenant, a commercial pilot, his wife and a policeman try to stop the aliens.

In the course of doing so, the aliens implement "Plan 9", a scheme to resurrect Earth's dead as what modern audiences would consider zombies (called "ghouls" in the film itself) to get the planet's attention, causing chaos.
For years, the film played on television in relative obscurity, until 1980, when author Michael Medved dubbed Plan 9 from Outer Space the "worst movie ever made". Wood was posthumously awarded Medved's Golden Turkey Award as the worst director ever.
