How to take care of our ears? to avoid hearing loss
What is good ear care? Should we clean our ears? How can noise affect our ears?
Many myths and misconceptions are associated with ear problems and hearing loss. 360 million persons across the world have disabling hearing loss. About half of all these cases are easily prevented or treated. Following good ear care practices, such as reducing exposure to noise, avoiding insertion of objects into the ears can prevent many from developing ear and hearing problems.
This brief animation features a young girl talking about her experience of ear pain. It depicts common home remedies and behaviour that can damage the ears, leading to hearing loss.

Listen up
We’re your ears
We’re here to show you how we function
We hope you
Learn a lot and
remember what you hear
Let's take a look at your ears
And what they're are made of
There are three parts of a human ear
They are all of the above
First, we have the outer ear
it consists of two parts
The Pinna and the Ear Canal
They’re both a work of art
Onto the Middle Ear
and it’s parts of three
the Ear Drum the Ossicles
and the Cavity
The Oval Window,
and the Semicircle Ducts,
Cochlear and Auditory Tube
Are the Inner Ear parts
Listen up
We’re your ears
We’re here to show you how we function
We hope you
Learn a lot and
remember what you hear
The smallest bones in your body
are from the Ossicles Group
They are the Hammer, Anvil
and Stirrup We’ll get to what they do
The Semicircle Canals
are made up of three tubes
Filled with liquid Endolymph
They look just like little loops
When your head is in motion
the liquid Endolymph moves
Triggering the little hairs
called Cilia that live in you
The Cilia sends
these motion signals to your brain
Then your brain knows how to balance you
so you don’t get a sprain
Listen up
We’re your ears
We’re here to show you how we function
We hope you
Learn a lot and
remember what you hear
When sound waves are made
the Pinna gathers them up
and sends them through the Ear Canal
To the Ear Drums little cup
Then your eardrum vibrates
and it strikes the Hammer's bone
Which moves the Anvil
And the Stirrup which makes all that sound grow
The Stirrup vibrates the liquid
that fills your Cochlea
The liquid moves all sorts of Fibers
which vibrates more Cilia
That Cilia creates
electric impulses that shoot
through the Cochlear Nerve
To the Brain aren’t your ears a hoot
Then the Brain Takes all that info
And tells you what you've heard
So please take care of your two ears
So you can listen to our words
Listen up
We’re your ears
We’re here to show you how we function
We hope you
Learn a lot and
remember what you hear

https://tr.ee/T7sSZnpw9z Thank you for watching our ear wax removal video today. The ear wax extraction featured in todays video was carried out using endoscopic microsuction. This procedure uses a small camera called an endoscope to visualise inside the ear canal whilst a small suction tube is inserted to gently remove ear wax.
We can also use other tools to remove hard ear wax, foreign bodies, peeling dead skin or for ear infection removal.
All the ear wax cleaning videos you see on our channel are carried out by our ear wax specialists Mr Rhys Barber and Mr Taylor Green.
We post new ear cleaning videos Monday - Friday at 9PM GMT so if you find ear wax removal satisfying please consider subscribing to our channel.
Ear wax plays a vital role in ear health. It helps to prevent ear infection and helps with ear cleaning by picking up any dirt or debris that accumulates in the ear canal. Normally this ear wax would fall out of the ear taking any dirt or debris with it.
How to remove ear wax?
Many people use q-tips/cotton buds for ear wax removal at home this is one of the worst things you can put into the ear as this can lead to an increased ear wax buildup or in extreme cases impacted ear wax. The best way to remove ear wax is to let your ears clean themselves and not to put anything smaller than your elbow in your ears!
How do I know if I have an earwax blockage?
If you experience a change in your hearing, discomfort in the ear or jaw or a feeling of fullness in the ear canal you may have an ear wax blockage. Our advice is to speak to your Doctor or local Audiologist who can take a look in your ears and assess whether ear cleaning is needed.
To arrange an ear wax removal appointment please visit our website:

Many myths and misconceptions are associated with ear problems and hearing loss. 360 million persons across the world have disabling hearing loss. About half of all these cases are easily prevented or treated. Following good ear care practices, such as reducing exposure to noise, avoiding insertion of objects into the ears can prevent many from developing ear and hearing problems.
This brief animation features a young girl talking about her experience of ear pain. It depicts common home remedies and behaviour that can damage the ears, leading to hearing loss.

https://tr.ee/T7sSZnpw9z Thank you for watching our ear wax removal video today.
