DIY: Make Swamp Water Drinkable! King Of Random Dives Into How To Make A Homemade DIY Water Filter
Have you ever wondered: Can I make swamp water drinkable? How do I purify water? How do I make dirty water clean? How do I make water drinkable? TKOR has done some random experiments in the past and in this video, we're just experimenting if it is possible to turn dirty or contaminated water into actual drinkable water. What will happen? Will swamp water actually be able to be drinkable? I'm putting my health on the line to prove a simple and effective survival hack, for getting clean drinking water. King Of Random also has some other fun tests we performed. Hopefully this gives you an idea as to what can or can’t be experimented with when it comes to purifying water.

Powder Separates Dirt From Water
This powder helps make water cleaner, sticking to dirt and separating it from the water.
The product is called PolyGlu, which is a coagulant made from fermented soybeans. It mixes with dirt and pollutants, causing the dirt in the water to separate and sink.
One gram can treat up to 5 litres of polluted water, which could help improve water quality in third world countries. However, the water is still not fully purified and still requires further filtering to be safe to drink.
A self-contained tank is also available for use in emergencies when water supplies are disrupted.

How effective is the Lifestraw?... Lifestraw vs. muddy puddle
The Lifestraw is a convenient portable water filtration device that I often use during hiking and camping trips. They say it will filter 99.9999% of waterborne bacteria and protozoan parasites and reduce turbidity down to 0.2 microns. I always used it in freshwater sources that appeared to be fairly clean. In this test, I show what happens when using the Lifestraw in a very turbid stagnant muddy puddle. Would you drink this water?

Summary: I visited Lindsay Blackstock at the University of
Alberta to learn about her ingenious method for measuring the amount of pee in a pool by looking at the concentration of an artificial sweetener called Acesulfame Potassium. We looked at some samples from some pools in my area to determine how much pee was in them and I conducted an experiment of my own to see what was the cause of that "classic pool smell". I also presented average amounts of pee in large pools as well as an equation to determine how much pee is in your own pool.
