Dreamtime and the Seven Sisters - The World's oldest story is about Pleiades
Within the original cultures of Australia, a story is told, called Dreamtime, reflecting the world at the time of colonization of the continent and it uses the constellations of Orion and Pleiades to tell it's story of hunters chasing women. The same story is told in Greece, and so believe the story to have the same source due to overlapping information.
In this video I'll explore these myths, the similarities, but also potential problems in the early source hypothesis. The result is that these stories are very old, but are they as old as we think they are?

The Ancient Cosmic Spirituality of Aboriginal Australians
The great Swiss psychologist and student and colleague of Sigmund Freud, Carl Jung, was obsessed with the Australian Aborigine.
Jung also estimated that the Australian Aborigine spent three to four hours a day meeting their survival needs.
But where Jung felt that the Australian Aborigines were unique among the world’s indigenous peoples was how they utilised the overwhelming majority of their time.
According to Jung, they spent that time almost exclusively cultivating a higher state of consciousness.
Or, in Jungian terms: they spent the vast majority of their time contacting and immersing themselves in the collective unconscious.
Now, it is not unusual for the Earth’s indigenous people to endeavour to raise their consciousness or to make contact with so-called spiritual realms.

Dreamtime Travelling through the Australian continent - documentary
Travelling through the Australian continent, one is often appalled by the living conditions of the Aborigine people. Having lost touch with their culture and traditions, many of them have become outcasts or alcoholics who aimlessly wander the streets of the Australian cities. From the early 1800s to the late 1960s, Aborigines were gradually deprived of their land by the white man who used it for herding, cropping, and mineral extraction. Forced to leave their homelands, Aborigines were often separated from their children, who were sent to live with white families or to boarding schools, in an attempt to teach them the white man’s values. Today 390,000 Aborigines account for less than 3% of the current Australian population. Learn how they are beginning to find their place in a society whic...

Now, it is not unusual for the Earth’s indigenous people to endeavour to raise their consciousness or to make contact with so-called spiritual realms.
However, the Australian Aborigines used every spare moment for consciousness-raising. Jung, among others, estimated that they spent ¾ of their lives doing this.
And, like the New Zealand Maori, the Australian Aborigine did not use any psychoactive plants to assist them.
Instead, the way in which they cultivated a higher consciousness was exclusively through the practice of art.
Story, music, song, dance & painting were the methods that Australian Aborigines used.
All of these were practised and performed so that they might more deeply dwell in what they knew as: The Dreaming.
The Dreaming
The Dreaming: The now-moment, beyond the historical, always Now, only apparently Then. The moment before the existence of time when Nothing became Something.
The Australian Aborigine’s Dreaming is primarily a creation myth. And, like ALL creation myths, from the ancient Indian Vedas to the
Judeo-Christian myth of Genesis, it points to that ‘moment’ before Time
where Nothing produced Something.
All culture's creation myths, including the scientific explanation called “The Big Bang,” point to, or attempt to explain this relation between Nothing & Something.

Learn how they are beginning to find their place in a society which has excluded them for so long. Meet and share the life of Aborigines who through art, dancing, hunting, work, or spirituality, are finding ways to better their future.

We are often asked ‘What is Aboriginal Dreamtime?’ This is a bit like asking ‘What is Christianity?’ or ‘What is Islam?’ Oh and ‘Please explain it to me in a sentence or two’. Aboriginal Dreamtime is a fully fledged spiritual philosophy and way of life as complex as other world religions. An appreciation of it would require a lengthy course if not several years of learning. The quickest way is to culturally immerse yourself and be open to experiential epiphanies through guided cultural activities. For as one Yanuwa Elder remarked: ‘White people ask me all the time, what is the Dreaming? This is a difficult thing to answer because Dreaming is a very BIG thing for Aboriginal people.’
Why don’t you come on a Journey into the Dreamtime to explore something more about Australia and its Indigenous peoples, and even learn more about yourself?
In this first part of an 8 series we exlpore what is Dreamtime.
