A down is a period in which a play transpires in American and Canadian football. The down is a distinguishing characteristic of the game compared to other codes of football, but is synonymous with a "tackle" in rugby league. The team in possession of the football has a limited number of downs (four downs in American football, three downs in Canadian football) to advance ten yards or more towards their opponent's goal line. If they fail to advance that far, possession of the ball is turned over to the other team. In most situations, if a team reaches their final down they will punt to their opponent, which forces them to begin their drive from further down the field; if they are in range, they might also attempt to score a field goal.
Description
A down begins with a snap or free kick (such as a kickoff or safety kick), and ends when the ball or the player in possession of it is declared down by an official, a team scores, or the ball or player in possession of it leaves the field of play.
Exclusive is the second studio album by American recording artist Chris Brown. It was released on November 6, 2007, by his independently-owned record label CBE, along with Jive Records; distributed by Zomba Group. The album was serving as the follow-up to his multi-platinum selling debut album Chris Brown (2005).
The album was critically and commercially successful, debuting at number 4 on the US Billboard 200, selling 295,000 copies in the first week. The album was supported by five singles; including three Billboard Hot 100, which successfully entered in the music markets, entering the top 20 amongst other charts worldwide. The album has earned double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in the United States, and the album sales it stands at three million copies in the worldwide. The album ranked number 34 on Rolling Stone's list of the Top 50 Albums of 2007.
On June 3, 2008, Exclusive was re-released, when it has expanded into a double-disc deluxe edition; including a counterparts from the DVD, which was also released, which features the behind the scenes footage and music videos from his tour.
The song "Horse" was labeled as "Pony Beat" on set lists for live shows. David Wm. Sims plays an organ on the album version.
The painting on the cover is "Falling Dog" by Malcolm Bucknall, for which Bucknall asked no pay and offers no explanation for the falling dog image. Bucknall also did the cover art for the Puss/Oh, the Guilt split single with Nirvana and the Jesus Lizard's Liar album.
Track listing
All songs written and composed by The Jesus Lizard, except where noted.
Down, released in November 1996 on Century Media records, is the fourth album by Sentenced. It is also the first album including the vocalist Ville Laihiala. This album marks the band's progression from melodic death metal to gothic metal.
Various forms of football can be identified in history, often as popular peasant games. Contemporary codes of football can be traced back to the codification of these games at English public schools during the nineteenth century. The expanse of the British Empire allowed these rules of football to spread to areas of British influence outside of the directly controlled Empire, though by the end of the nineteenth century, distinct regional codes were already developing: Gaelic football, for example, deliberately incorporated the rules of local traditional football games in order to maintain their heritage. In 1888, The Football League was founded in England, becoming the first of many professional football competitions. During the twentieth century, several of the various kinds of football grew to become some of the most popular team sports in the world.
The season was storyboarded and written by Tom Herpich, Steve Wolfhard, Seo Kim, Somvilay Xayaphone, Jesse Moynihan, Adam Muto, Ako Castuera, Sam Alden, Kirsten Lepore, Andres Salaff, Hanna K. Nyström, Luke Pearson, Emily Partridge, Kris Mukai, Graham Falk, and Kent Osborne. The seventh season of Adventure Time features a special miniseries entitled Stakes, which details Marceline's backstory, as well as Finn, Jake, Bubblegum, and Marceline's undertaking to defeat several newly resurrected vampires. The season will also feature the stop-motion episode "Bad Jubies", guest directed by Lepore.
A football, soccer ball, or association football ball is the ball used in the sport of association football. The name of the ball varies according to whether the sport is called "football", "soccer", or "association football". The ball's spherical shape, as well as its size, weight, and material composition, are specified by Law 2 of the Laws of the Game maintained by the International Football Association Board. Additional, more stringent, standards are specified by FIFA and subordinate governing bodies for the balls used in the competitions they sanction.
Early footballs began as animal bladders or stomachs that would easily fall apart if kicked too much. Improvements became possible in the 19th century with the introduction of rubber and discoveries of Vulcanization by Charles Goodyear. The modern 32-panel ball design was developed in 1962 by Eigil Nielsen, and technological research continues today to develop footballs with improved performance.
History
In 1863, the first specifications for footballs were laid down by the Football Association. Previous to this, footballs were made out of inflated leather, with later leather coverings to help footballs maintain their shapes. In 1872 the specifications were revised, and these rules have been left essentially unchanged as defined by the International Football Association Board. Differences in footballs created since this rule came into effect have been to do with the material used in their creation.

*CORRECTION* - The Delay of Game penalty also applies to the defense, NOT just the offense. While it is rarely called, the Defense can incur a Delay of Game penalty if they impede the Offense's ability to line up or fail to return the ball promptly for the next play. When this occurs, the Down is replayed, and the Offense is awarded a 5-yard gain.
