Cody Jay Canada (born May 25, 1976 in Pampa, Texas) is an American southern rock/alt-country artist. From 1994-2010, Canada was the lead singer of Cross Canadian Ragweed. In 2011, Canada founded the group The Departed with Jeremy Plato, Seth James, Steve Littleton and Chris Doege.
Early life
Canada was born in Pampa, Texas in 1976. Acquiring a taste for music after attending a George Strait concert with his parents at the age of five, Canada first started playing guitar at the age of eight. While Cody was a teen, the Canada family relocated to Yukon, Oklahoma and became interested in outlaw country and hardcore rock n' roll.
Cross Canadian Ragweed
In 1994, Canada along with fellow musicians Jeremy Plato (bass), Grady Cross (guitar), and Randy Ragsdale (percussion) formed Cross Canadian Ragweed in Yukon, Oklahoma. The band was named after three of its original members with Canada taking on the role of lead guitarist, lead vocals, and prominent songwriter. They would later move to Stillwater, Oklahoma. From the time of Ragweed's formation until its end in 2010, the band released seven studio albums as well as three live albums.
Canada (i/ˈkænədə/; French: [ka.na.da]) is a country in the northern part of North America. Its ten provinces and three territories extend from the Atlantic to the Pacific and northward into the Arctic Ocean, covering 9.98million square kilometres (3.85million square miles), making it the world's second-largest country by total area and the fourth-largest country by land area. Canada's border with the United States is the world's longest land border. Canada is sparsely populated, the majority of its land territory being dominated by forest and tundra and the Rocky Mountains; about four-fifths of the country's population of 35 million people live near the southern border. The majority of Canada has a cold or severely cold winter climate, but southerly areas are warm in summer.
The land now called Canada has been inhabited for millennia by various Aboriginal peoples. Beginning in the 15th century, British and French colonies were established on the Atlantic coast, with the first establishment of a region called "Canada" occurring in 1537. As a consequence of various conflicts, the United Kingdom gained and lost territories within British North America until left, in the late 18th century, with what mostly geographically comprises Canada today. Pursuant to the British North America Act, on July 1, 1867, the colonies of Canada, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotiajoined to form the autonomous federal Dominion of Canada. This began an accretion of provinces and territories to the self-governing Dominion to the present ten provinces and three territories forming modern Canada. In 1931, Canada achieved near total independence from the United Kingdom with the Statute of Westminster 1931, and full sovereignty was attained when the Canada Act 1982 removed the last remaining ties of legal dependence on the British parliament.
Provinces of the Anglican Church of Canada are headed by a Metropolitan, elected from among the province's diocesan bishops. This bishop then becomes Archbishop of his or her diocese and Metropolitan of the Province. The current Metropolitan of the Province of Canada is the Most Rev. Percy D. Coffin, Archbishop of Western Newfoundland.
"Don't!" is a song co-written and recorded by Canadian country music singer Shania Twain. It was released in January 2005 as the second single from her Greatest Hits album. The song was written by Twain and then-husband Robert John "Mutt" Lange. The song was also included under the end credits of the 2005 film An Unfinished Life, and in the Brazilian soap opera América.
Music video
The music video for "Don't!" was shot in Oaxaca, Mexico at Quinta Real Hotel and Yucca plantation. It was filmed on October 24, 2004 and released January 2, 2005, it was directed by Wayne Isham. The video is available on some of the commercial singles for "Don't!". In 2006, CMT Canada named "Don't!" the eighth sexiest country music video.
In the video Twain rides a horse through rows of Yucca wearing a red dress, and walks around in the hotel wearing a white dress and corset. Near the end of the video, a tear runs down her face.
Chart performance
"Don't!" debuted on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart the week of January 29, 2005 at number 44, Twain's fourth highest debut of all time, and highest of the week. The single spent 15 weeks on the chart and climbed to a peak position of number 24 on April 2, 2005, where it remained for one week. "Don't!" became Twain's first single to miss the top 20 since 2000's "Rock This Country!".
"Don't" is the debut single by American singer Bryson Tiller. It was released on May 20, 2015, as the first single for his debut studio albumTrapsoul. The song was produced by Dopeboi. This song has so far peaked at number 13 on the US Billboard Hot 100, where it became Tiller's first top 40 hit and his highest charting single to date.
Background and release
Tiller originally released this song on October 2014 on his SoundCloud page and started receiving attention from internet based fans and music industry insiders, accumulating 4 million streams in the first six months, and eventually reaching over 35 million streams. Tiller, after increased popularity of the single, admitted that he "made this shit in [his] living room". Early co-signs from super producer Timbaland and Canadian rapper/singer Drake led to multiple major label deals for Bryson, with him eventually choosing to sign a creative partnership with RCA Records on August 25, 2015.
Music video
The song's accompanying music video premiered on October 17, 2015 on Tiller's Vevo account on YouTube. Since its release, the video has received over 50 million views.
Is the government telling the truth about Canada's debt? | About That
The federal government is defending the fact that it overshot last fiscal year's deficit target by roughly $20 billion by suggesting our economy is the envy of the G7. Andrew Chang explains why that argument is misleading, and what $1.2 trillion in federal debt actually means. Images gathered from Reuters, Getty Images, and The Canadian Press.

Covering business, finance and economics every week can be a little bit depressing.
In just the last 2 years personal savings have been evaporated, consumer debt has hit record highs, the job market has been defined by anti-worker trends such as ghost jobs, broad sector layoffs and gigification, all while asset prices have ballooned far faster than household incomes, or even their intrinsic fundamentals.
The results have been pretty simple, it’s getting much harder for people who work for a living to keep up with those who already have assets…
Even the most diligent and career focused people are finding it tough to make ends meet let alone accumulate assets so that they too can one day achieve financial security…
But if ever you are feeling like it’s all a bit hopeless, just remember, it could be worse… you could be from Canada…

If you are looking for an amazing destination with beautiful scenery, lakes, lighthouses, mountains, and valleys, Canada won’t disappoint you. Visit a quiet town, a national park, or a wilderness area not far from a major city for a vacation filled with gorgeous views, Northern Lights, waterfalls, and fun outdoor adventures - Canada got all for you.
Let's take a look at the 10 best places to visit in Canada that should be on everyone's bucket list.

The US-Canada border is one of the most well known, most crossed borders in the entire world. And because both countries have been friendly for so long, you might think that this means the border is pretty simple, right? The reality is anything but. The US-Canada border is filled with small little oddities that make you question whether this is really a border at all!
In this video, we'll cover the extensive geography of the border, from the far east to the far west and then all the way to the north. Then we'll dive deep into all of the weird little oddities along the border and how they can change your perception of just what a border is.

Too Far Hey I've gone too far I can't live this down Please turn back time Please, God This is all I have I have nothing left Please turn back time Please, God With my empty being Set me at Your feet Please turn back time Please, God Hey, whats going on? I feel the darkness taking me
