"Don't!" is a song co-written and recorded by Canadian country music singer Shania Twain. It was released in January 2005 as the second single from her Greatest Hits album. The song was written by Twain and then-husband Robert John "Mutt" Lange. The song was also included under the end credits of the 2005 film An Unfinished Life, and in the Brazilian soap opera América.
Music video
The music video for "Don't!" was shot in Oaxaca, Mexico at Quinta Real Hotel and Yucca plantation. It was filmed on October 24, 2004 and released January 2, 2005, it was directed by Wayne Isham. The video is available on some of the commercial singles for "Don't!". In 2006, CMT Canada named "Don't!" the eighth sexiest country music video.
In the video Twain rides a horse through rows of Yucca wearing a red dress, and walks around in the hotel wearing a white dress and corset. Near the end of the video, a tear runs down her face.
Chart performance
"Don't!" debuted on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart the week of January 29, 2005 at number 44, Twain's fourth highest debut of all time, and highest of the week. The single spent 15 weeks on the chart and climbed to a peak position of number 24 on April 2, 2005, where it remained for one week. "Don't!" became Twain's first single to miss the top 20 since 2000's "Rock This Country!".
"Don't" is a song performed by Elvis Presley, which was released in 1958. Written and produced by Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller, it was Presley's eleventh number-one hit in the United States. "Don't" also peaked at number four on the R&B charts.Billboard ranked it as the No. 3 song for 1958.
"Despite an otherwise lackluster performance, one area where President Barack Obama went on the offensive in Wednesday night's debate was over Mitt Romney's proposal for broad tax cuts. Four times Obama repeated the conclusion of an independent analysis by the nonpartisan Tax Policy Center that those cuts would cost approximately $5 trillion. Romney, in response, claimed "I don't have a $5 trillion tax cut. I don't have a tax cut of a scale that you're talking about." Faced with that contrast -- a statistic generated by a non-partisan, widely respected think tank versus an unsupported assertion by a guy essentially asking people to trust him -- who did CNN and FactCheck.org declare had the more factual response? Mitt Romney...".*

How New Economics Is Helping to Solve Global Poverty | Dean Karlan + More | Talks at Google
Authors@Google present Dean Karlan and Jacob Appel: "More Than Good Intentions: How a New Economics Is Helping to Solve Global Poverty."
In their new book, Dean Karlan and Jacob Appel discuss how to solve one of the most important questions in aid economics: how do you figure out where to spend your dollars in order to get the best results? Too often aid money is allocated by hope, by guesswork, or [in the worst cases] by corruption. How can donors tell if their money is doing as much good as it can...or even if it's doing more harm than good?
Dean will join us on Friday, April 29th to talk about getting empirical data on aid results, on using psychology to help people help themselves, and how Innovations for Poverty Action are helping other aid organizations do their good works.

Special Report: Jeremy Corbyn and the Labour Party's Radical Rise
What difference does a Party make? This week on the Laura Flanders Show, we talk about what's happening in the UK where one of the two main parties is picking up many of the radical demands coming out of movement groups seeking to transform the economy and society.
In 2017, mainstream media predicted that the Labour Party would be crushed in the general election. Instead, it won its best result in 20 years, getting more than 40% of the vote under the leadership of life long socialist and anti-war campaigner Jeremy Corbyn. Although he didn't become prime minister, Corbyn did come close to unseating Theresa May, which one reporter described as a "nice vindication for Jeremy Corbyn."

She knew what she wanted What she wanted wasn't him But she never let me see A love I could share is In my heart and in my hair They, they said it, so she did it I was cut off, I was cheated I drive out alone And sit outside her home And pretend she hasn't gone She, she's not apart from me She seems me sometime In the edge of her eye But I guess she thinks she's wrong She, she's still a part of me While he's kissing her He's pissing on what she deserves She just smiles and lets it go Some day, one day soon I'll make it clear just who loves whom They, they said it, so she did it I was cut off, I was cheated I drive out alone And sit outside her home And pretend she hasn't gone She, she's not apart from me She seems me sometime In the edge of her eye But I guess she thinks she's wrong She, she's still a part of me
