"Don't Let It End" is the third track on the 1983 album Kilroy Was Here, by Styx.
The song was written and sung by Dennis DeYoung. The track is a mid-tempo ballad about one who breaks up with a lover and pleads to get the person back. The song reached #6 on the Billboard Hot 100 in June 1983 and #56 in the UK Singles Chart. It also reached #15 on the Canada RPM Top Singles chart the week of July 2, 1983.
According to Dennis DeYoung in a 2005 interview with classicrockrevisited.com, the track was originally slated as the first single from Kilroy Was Here until the staff at A&M suggested "Mr. Roboto".
Video
The video of the track was directed by Brian Gibson. It starts out with Dennis portraying Kilroy looking at a picture of a girlfriend he lost (the picture is of Dennis' wife in real life Suzanne) and then gets up to go in another room which changes into the prison that his character of Kilroy was in. Then Dennis changes into the Kilroy as prisoner character and joins the members of Styx who play prisoners in the video performing the track and then the end shows Dennis as he appeared at the intro.
"Don't!" is a song co-written and recorded by Canadian country music singer Shania Twain. It was released in January 2005 as the second single from her Greatest Hits album. The song was written by Twain and then-husband Robert John "Mutt" Lange. The song was also included under the end credits of the 2005 film An Unfinished Life, and in the Brazilian soap opera América.
Music video
The music video for "Don't!" was shot in Oaxaca, Mexico at Quinta Real Hotel and Yucca plantation. It was filmed on October 24, 2004 and released January 2, 2005, it was directed by Wayne Isham. The video is available on some of the commercial singles for "Don't!". In 2006, CMT Canada named "Don't!" the eighth sexiest country music video.
In the video Twain rides a horse through rows of Yucca wearing a red dress, and walks around in the hotel wearing a white dress and corset. Near the end of the video, a tear runs down her face.
Chart performance
"Don't!" debuted on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart the week of January 29, 2005 at number 44, Twain's fourth highest debut of all time, and highest of the week. The single spent 15 weeks on the chart and climbed to a peak position of number 24 on April 2, 2005, where it remained for one week. "Don't!" became Twain's first single to miss the top 20 since 2000's "Rock This Country!".
"Don't" is a song performed by Elvis Presley, which was released in 1958. Written and produced by Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller, it was Presley's eleventh number-one hit in the United States. "Don't" also peaked at number four on the R&B charts.Billboard ranked it as the No. 3 song for 1958.

Acclaimed rock vocalist Jeff Scott Soto has announced the release of his next solo project, "The Duets Collection, Vol. 1" on October 8, 2021. For this album, Soto wanted to do a career retrospective and re-record some of his favorite songs from his storied career, but with the twist that he invited friends to join him on duets of said songs.
Using the down time from his normally relentless touring activity due to the worldwide pandemic, renowned vocalist Jeff Scott Soto decided to create a very special album which pays tribute to some of the classic songs he has recorded over the course of his storied career. But, rather than simple re-records, he wanted to make the album something special, unique. So, not only did he re-record these songs with his musical friends Jorge Salan, Howie Simon (guitars), Leo Mancini (guitars), Tony Dickinson (bass) and Edu Cominato (drums), but he called in some of his fellow rock friends/vocalists to create a unique DUETS album. With the likes of Erik Mårtensson (Eclipse, W.E.T.), Dino Jelusick (Animal Drive, Dirty Shirley), Eric Martin (Mr. Big), Johnny Gioeli (Hardline), Deen Castronovo (Revolution Saints, Journey), Nathan James (Inglorious), Russell Allen (Symphony X), Renan Zonta (Electric Mob), Mats Leven (Candlemass, TSO), BJ (Spektra, SOTO), and Aliro Netto (Shaman, Queen Extravaganza), this is an amazing international affair.
The track listing alone will surely make any JSS fan excited, much less hearing the final product. Where can you get such an amazing list of singers and songs all in the same place?
Jeff says, "It was a DREAM to cast these voices and I am so amped for you to hear the results…”
Jeff Scott Soto is a man that needs virtually no introduction to any discerning melodic rock fan. Jeff launched his career at the young age of 18 years old in tremendous fashion as the lead vocalist for Yngwie Malmsteen’s debut album, "Rising Force" and the sophomore album, “Marching Out”. That first step into the spotlight has led to a career that has seen Jeff play and work with an outstanding number of artists and genres from the AOR of Eyes and Takara, to the hard rock and metal of Talisman, Axel Rudi Pell, Soul SirkUS, and of course, his time with the legendary Journey. Jeff has also maintained a solo career over the past decades, while also recently joining up with the progressive metal supergroup Sons of Apollo.

What can I do Pictures of you still make me cry Trying to live without your love It's so hard to do Some nights I'll wake up I'll look at your pillow Hoping that I'll see you there But I get up each day, not much to say I've nowhere to go Loneliness fills me up inside 'Cause I'm missing you So if you'll give us a chance to remember The love we had once together Wait and see Time is all that we really need I'm praying you won't say no I mean to tell you Don't let it end Baby we could have so much more Don't let it end Honey please don't walk out that door I'm telling you baby, I made my mistakes But I'll make you this promise to do what it takes I'll be there to protect you and hold you tight You got my lovin' baby every single night Don't let it end I'm begging you, don't let it end this way Don't let it end I'm begging you, don't let it end this way Don't let it end Baby we could have so much more Don't let it end Honey please don't walk out that door Don't let it end I'm begging you don't let it end this way Don't let it end I'm begging you don't let it end this way, no, no, no No, no, no What will I do If you say we're through I need you to stay, honey
