Carried Away was the first feature film to use the world's first mobile high-definition edit suite, Confidence Bay, during the filming process. The film was shot tapeless on the Red One and Confidence Bay transferred all the data from the camera, synchronized all audio and video, created dailies, and assembled a rough cut of the film on locations spanning Texas, Arizona, and California. A 90 minute rough cut of the film was shown to the cast and crew at the wrap of the film.
"Carried Away" is a song written by Steve Bogard and Jeff Stevens, and recorded by American country music artist George Strait. It was released in June 1996 as the second single from the album Blue Clear Sky. In August of that year, it became Strait's 30th Billboard number-one single. The song was one of two George Strait songs (the other being "One Night at a Time") to be nominated as Single of the Year at the 1997 Country Music Association awards.
Critical reception
Deborah Evans Price, of Billboard magazine reviewed the song favorably, saying that the strongest thing about the single is Strait's "heartfelt delivery." She goes on to say that "the melody is pretty, but the lyric just seems a little cliched and unworthy of Strait's vocal gifts.
Chart positions
"Carried Away" debuted at number 73 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks for the week of May 18, 1996.
Pam Walker and Colleen Walker are sisters who along with their cousin Christine Prankard formed the group Carried Away. As a family, they have been singing together as long as anyone can remember. It was not until the year 2000 however, that they became "Carried Away". It was at that point that they heard the song "Carried Away" by Sonicflood. Listening to the song, the women were inspired by Jeff Deyo as he sang the chorus with such passion and conviction, "I want to get carried away." The song immediately struck a chord in each of them. They decided to make a career out of singing.
Eventually they traveled to Nashville, and while they were there the girls had the opportunity to meet with producer Otto Price. Shortly into their first conversation with Price, the women discovered a common theme. Otto Price just happened to be a co-writer of the Sonicflood song "Carried Away".
"Don't!" is a song co-written and recorded by Canadian country music singer Shania Twain. It was released in January 2005 as the second single from her Greatest Hits album. The song was written by Twain and then-husband Robert John "Mutt" Lange. The song was also included under the end credits of the 2005 film An Unfinished Life, and in the Brazilian soap opera América.
Music video
The music video for "Don't!" was shot in Oaxaca, Mexico at Quinta Real Hotel and Yucca plantation. It was filmed on October 24, 2004 and released January 2, 2005, it was directed by Wayne Isham. The video is available on some of the commercial singles for "Don't!". In 2006, CMT Canada named "Don't!" the eighth sexiest country music video.
In the video Twain rides a horse through rows of Yucca wearing a red dress, and walks around in the hotel wearing a white dress and corset. Near the end of the video, a tear runs down her face.
Chart performance
"Don't!" debuted on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart the week of January 29, 2005 at number 44, Twain's fourth highest debut of all time, and highest of the week. The single spent 15 weeks on the chart and climbed to a peak position of number 24 on April 2, 2005, where it remained for one week. "Don't!" became Twain's first single to miss the top 20 since 2000's "Rock This Country!".
"Don't" is a song performed by Elvis Presley, which was released in 1958. Written and produced by Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller, it was Presley's eleventh number-one hit in the United States. "Don't" also peaked at number four on the R&B charts.Billboard ranked it as the No. 3 song for 1958.
