Kosovo PM: Serbia's president is behaving like a little Putin | Exclusive
Britain should send more troops to Kosovo to prevent war in the Western Balkans, its Prime Minister has warned.
Albin Kurti said the number of Nato troops permanently stationed in his country were “symbolic” and would not be enough to stop Aleksandar Vucic, the President of Serbia, from invading.
It comes after Mr Vucic gave a speech on Monday where he made a veiled reference to an invasion of Kosovo, stating Belgrade will “wait for the best possible momentum and we will seize our opportunity”.
In an interview with The Telegraph Mr Kurti said his country, which has more than 4,000 Nato troops on the ground, “could be even better protected” and that “Nato could and should be more engaged in Kosovo both militarily and politically” because of the threat from Belgrade.
