Jordy Claude Daniel Lemoine (born January 14, 1988), known as Jordy, is a former French singer and musician. He was known for his hit single "Dur dur d'être bébé!" when he was four years old.
Career
Jordy is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the youngest singer ever to have a #1 charted single. He achieved this in 1992, at the age of four-and-a-half, with the song "Dur dur d'être bébé !" ("It's Tough to Be a Baby").
Jordy was born in Saint-Germain-en-Laye, Yvelines. He is the son of music producer Claude Lemoine, who was involved with the Rockets from 1976 to 1992.
Concerns
There was concern that he was being exploited by his parents. Rumors of exploitation were furthered when the Lemoine family opened La Ferme de Jordy (Jordy's Farm), a children's tourist attraction which was a financial failure. Jordy insisted that the farm was his idea. After the farm's failure, the French government banned Jordy's music from radio and television to protect him from exploitation. In 1996 Jordy's parents divorced. He then returned to school.
JORDY or Joint Optical Reflective Display is an optical viewing device developed based on NASA technology. It is used to help the visually impaired see and read.

After having tried to involve Jordy in TV advertisements for nappies where the baby should repeat "hard, hard to be wet", Claude Lemoine, Jordy's father, had the idea of using dance music and simple lyrics to create a catchy song. The result was well received in discothèques, which convinced Lemoine to release it as a commercial single.
Thanks to this song, Jordy was listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the youngest singer ever to reach number one on a singles chart. He achieved this feat in France in October 1992 at the age of four and a half, beating the previous world record held by Osamu Minagawa and French record held by Elsa Lunghini. Jordy was also the youngest artist to chart on the Billboard Hot 100, reaching number 58 with the song.
"Dur dur d'être bébé!" entered the French chart at number four on 26 September 1992, rose to number two for two weeks, and then topped the chart for 15 weeks, which was the record at the time. The previous record for the longest stretch atop the French chart had belonged to Images' "Les Démons de minuit" (1986) and Licence IV's "Viens boire un p'tit coup à la maison" (1987), at 13 weeks apiece. Following its stay atop the chart, Jordy's single held the number two slot for another four weeks, eventually totalling 26 weeks in the French top ten and 30 weeks in the top 50. "Dur dur d'être bébé!" was also a dance hit across Europe, Brazil, Bolivia, Colombia and Japan.
The song is currently the 224th best-selling single of all time in France.[2] An English-language version and a mix version were also recorded and are available on the album Pochette Surprise.
Pochette Surprise (Surprise Package) is the first album by singer Jordy. When it was released in France in 1992, he was only four years old. Its first single "Dur dur d'être bébé!" charted at #1 for 15 weeks, making Jordy the youngest recording artist to ever reach #1. It was followed by "Alison" which was also number one for five weeks, then by "Les Boules", which was much less successful (#13).
The album debuted at #7 on 9 December 1992 on the SNEP Albums Chart and had a peak at number two for three non consecutive weeks. It totaled 23 weeks in the top ten and 48 weeks in the top 50.[2] In 1993, the album achieved 2 x Platinum status for over 600,000 copies sold

"Dur dur d'être bébé!", which was retitled "Dur dur d'être bébé! (It's Tough to Be a Baby)" for its American audience, is a 1992 song recorded by French singer Jordy Lemoine, credited as Jordy. The first single from his debut album Pochette surprise, it was released in September 1992 and achieved success across the world, particularly in France.

LYRICS:
Late at night
On my mind
Called you once
Called you twice
In the morning you can ignore it
I got it right
Oh my my
Hit the spot
Jesus Christ
No one here to ruin the moment
It’s better alone
Cus I know
Just what to do
More than you
Put on a show
Of my own
And I’ll follow through
I’ll just have sex with myself
I’m obsessed with myself
I’ll keep my hands to myself
I I I like
My bed to myself
Make a wreck of myself
I’ll just have sex with myself
AC off
Turn me on
Dirty thoughts
All I want
Nothing to regret when it’s over
Think I’m catching feels
Fall in love, think I might be the one
Me myself & I'm getting closer
It’s better alone
Cus I know
Just what to do
More than you
Put on a show
Of my own
And I’ll follow through
I’ll just have sex with myself
I’m obsessed with myself
I’ll keep my hands to myself
I I I like
My bed to myself
Make a wreck of myself
I’ll just have sex with myself
I lay there, sweat dripping down my temples
Tears rolling down my cheeks. The rush surging down my spine and into my toes.
I’ve spent so much time looking for someone to save me. Someone to fix the flaws.
A cure of some sort.
Maybe this could be beautiful. Maybe nobody knows my body the way I do.
Maybe being alone is different than being lonely. Maybe the only answer is…Me.
I’ll just have sex with myself
I’m obsessed with myself
I’ll keep my hands to myself
I I I like
My bed to myself
Make a wreck of myself
I’ll just have sex with myself
