Deer Park was originally settled as a Native American encampment. The community was later settled as a lumber-milling town. The Cook and Wilson Lumber Company purchased the first sawmill in the community in 1876. Deer Park expanded after Bradley and Hurst bought the mill ten years later. At the town's peak, it had a population of 400 people, making it one of the largest white pine logging communities. The mill produced 16,000 board feet every 24 hours. The Duluth, South Shore and Atlantic Railroad built a branch from Newberry to Deer Park to serve the mill, though the railroad was eventually removed. A post office opened July 12, 1888 with W.L.M. Powell was the first postmaster. The post office closed on January 15, 1900, due to the town's declining population. By the early 1900s, the lumber supply was gone from Deer Park, the sawmill closed, and Deer Park's population began to decline. The only remaining signs of the lumber industry are piles of sawdust and some pine logs in Muskallonge Lake, which was used to soften the logs before they were milled.
Park Michigan was a proposed 80 story skyscraper in Chicago, Illinois designed by Pappageorge/Haymes, Ltd. Its location is a street level parking lot at the northeast corner of Wabash Avenue and 9th Street. As part of the planned project, the former YWCA located at 830 South Michigan Avenue, also the official address of Park Michigan, would be gutted and turned into a restaurant.
On February 15, 2008, a foreclosure lawsuit was filed by Hermes Capital LLC after a loan default in December 2007 by Developer Renaissant Development Group. Hermes is run by Demetris Giannoulias (brother of Alexi Giannoulias).

The neighbourhood is in Ward 22, represented by Councillor Josh Matlow at Toronto city council.

Michigan is the only state to consist of two peninsulas. The Lower Peninsula, to which the name Michigan was originally applied, is often noted to be shaped like a mitten. The Upper Peninsula (often referred to as "the U.P.") is separated from the Lower Peninsula by the Straits of Mackinac, a five-mile (8km) channel that joins Lake Huron to Lake Michigan. The two peninsulas are connected by the Mackinac Bridge. The state has the longest freshwater coastline of any political subdivision in the world, being bounded by four of the five Great Lakes, plus Lake Saint Clair. As a result, it is one of the leading U.S. states for recreational boating. Michigan also has 64,980 inland lakes and ponds. A person in the state is never more than six miles (9.7km) from a natural water source or more than 85 miles (137km) from a Great Lakes shoreline.
Michigan: Report from Hell, released as Michigan in Japan, is a survival horror game developed by Grasshopper Manufacture and published by Spike. It was released in Japan on August 5, 2004, in Europe on September 30, 2005, and in Australia in 2005. This game was never released in North America. Directed by Akira Ueda and planned by Goichi Suda, the game focuses on a news crew for the fictional ZaKa TV, dedicated to covering strange phenomena. The game is unique in the sense that it is played almost entirely though the viewfinder of a camera; and the game is lost if the player runs out of film before solving the mysteries in a mission.
Plot
In Michigan, players take the role of a rookie cameraman for ZaKa TV, the entertainment division of the powerful ZaKa conglomerate. Accompanied by Brisco, an outspoken sound engineer, and Pamela, a reporter, the player is sent to investigate a mysterious mist that has descended over the city. The player quickly discovers that the mist is somehow transforming people into fleshy, leech-like monsters with human limbs. Pamela is attacked by the creatures, and is later found in the process of transforming into one. The player, Brisco, and a new female reporter are sent to investigate the source of the monster outbreak.
Is THIS the WORST City In America? Highland Park, Michigan
It's hard to argue that Highland Park isn't the worst city in America. The median household income is the lowest in the country for cities with a population of 5,000 or more. Highland Park has some fascinating history, as it's the birthplace of the assembly line which allowed automobiles to be built through mass production. It was technology that changed the world to what we know it as today. However, today Highland Park faces issues of extremely high crime rates, and most of the cities residents live in poverty.

The small island in the middle of Lake Superior is filled with diverse wildlife and outdoor adventure. And although it is a national park, you won’t find many crowds. Isle Royale is one of the least visited national parks in the country, but not for lack of beauty, but lack of accessibility. A five-hour boat ride from the Upper Peninsula is the most common way to get to the island. Its secluded environment makes it the perfect location for visitors to connect with the beauty around it. So pack up your backpack, lace up your hiking boots, and don’t forget to bring your binoculars.

We went to Nara Park, a famous sightseeing spot where many deer live🦌🦌🦌! In Nara, deer have long been considered messengers of the gods. Nara's deer are still treasured as a natural monument. You can meet so many deer just by walking!!
If you buy "shika senbei," deer snacks, you will be surrounded by many deer. That's a little scary and funny and cute😆. It doesn't take much time to explore Nara Park, but there are many places to see inside the park and nearby, such as Todaiji Temple, Kasuga Taisha Shrine, and Kofukuji Temple. Nara is close to Osaka and Kyoto, so it's recommended to plan a trip with multiple nights.

Today we're bringing you along on our two incredible days in Nara, Japan🙌 We had almost zero expectations aside from the deer park, and we were absolutely blown away!
We are Oskar & Dan, two boys from Sweden who decided to change the course of our lives, drop out of university, and live life full-time🧔🏻👱🏻♂️ We've been together for eight years and have been traveling together pretty much since day one✈️ In 2022, we completed our goal of visiting 100 countries at the age of 25 and now we're back exploring some of our favorite places on a deeper level before visiting country 101, 102, etc...🌍 Check our YouTube About page for more details👨🏼🤝👨🏻❤️

Japan was country 38 (first visited in 2018)🌍
We started our trip in the Keihanshin region, which is Japan's second largest metropolitan area after Tokyo, made up of the cities Osaka, Kobe, Kyoto, Nara, and other smaller ones. After eight days around this region, we hopped on the Shinkansen bullet train twice, first to Hiroshima and then to Fukuoka. From there, we took a boat to Busan, South Korea (we were SO excited about this ferry ride between Japan and Korea!) before catching a train to Seoul and flying home from there!
Thank you for watching!🙏😍
0:00-0:22 Our third trip to Japan!
0:23-0:59 Country 101...?
1:00-3:17 Trying mugwort mochi and exploring Nara
3:18-5:21 Japanese gardens are amazing (Isuien Garden)
5:22-5:57 Is Nara our new favorite stop in Japan?
5:58-7:28 Getting close to the deer!
7:29-8:39 Wakakusa and seeing the BEST cherry blossoms
8:40-9:56 TWO dinners (very on-brand...)
9:57-13:20 Last day in Nara
13:21-14:17 Two trains to Osaka

It's hard to argue that Highland Park isn't the worst city in America. The median household income is the lowest in the country for cities with a population of 5,000 or more. Highland Park has some fascinating history, as it's the birthplace of the assembly line which allowed automobiles to be built through mass production. It was technology that changed the world to what we know it as today. However, today Highland Park faces issues of extremely high crime rates, and most of the cities residents live in poverty.

Nestled in the heart of the Great Lakes region, the Midwest state of Michigan lies on the border with Canada. Home to more than 12,000 lakes and more beaches than the country’s entire Atlantic coastline, it’s made up of two large peninsulas and several scenic and secluded islands. While the state is defined by its wealth of waterways, much of it is coated in endless forests and wilderness. As such, there are loads of great outdoor activities to be enjoyed, with hiking, camping and sailing all popular. Here’s a look at the best places to visit in Michigan.
Isle Royale National Park is where adventurers will find a unique, remote, wilderness experience. Join a group of three friends as they backpack their way across the island's scenic and rustic trails.
To learn more about Isle Royale, visit: www.michigan.org/article/trip-idea/things-do-isle-royale-national-park-ultimate-pure-michigan-guide
This video was captured on a Sony a6300 and the Sony 10-18 f4 and Sony 35 f1.8 lenses, with a bit guard to allow hands-free operation.
Tahquamenon Falls State Park, located in Paradise, Michigan encompasses almost 50,000 acres stretching 13 miles. The centerpiece of the park and its reason for existence is the waterfalls of the Tahquamenon River. The Upper Falls is over 200 feet wide with a 50 foot drop. A few miles downstream, the Lower Falls are a series of five smaller falls cascading around an island. Both the Upper and Lower falls are easily accessible with a short walk. Admission at the time of our visit was $10 daily or $36 annually (non resident) for the State Parks Recreation Passport.
The Park offers a wide variety of activities such as camping, hiking, fishing and canoeing. Tahquamenon Falls State Park is a must see while visiting Michigan's Upper Peninsula!

In Japan, the shika deer are revered and worshipped... but also culled in huge numbers (half a million in 2020).
