Pearl Harbor Survivors remember the "Day of Infamy", December 7, 1941
Dec 7, 1941
On a quiet Sunday morning, the Japanese Empire launched a surprise attack on the U.S. naval base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. The devastating attack resulted in the death of 2,403 Americans, and the destruction of ships, planes and airfields.
However, the attack did not cripple the U.S. Pacific Fleet as Japan had intended. As a result the U.S. Navy was able to rebound quickly from the attack as the United States was thrust into the Pacific War.
80 years after the attack we listen the stories of the brave men who survived the ferocious attack on that fateful day.
