David Weston (artist)
David Weston (1935-2011) was a British industrial artist and author.
Early Life
David Weston was born in Belgrave, Leicester in 1935 to an aircraft engineer father. He first worked as a Draper, painting in his spare time. Weston's first gallery and workshop was in Leicester in the late 1960s, at the junction of Barkby Road and Fairfax Road. He supported his artistic work by offering a picture framing service.
Career
Weston made a living painting railway and industrial subjects. He was introduced to the subject by John Scholes (deceased) of the Clapham Museum and later the British Transport Museum. In the early 1970s he was commissioned to paint The Great Train Robbery Board Game Box by the Games inventor Bruce Barrymore Halpenny. He also painted landscapes, usually in acrylic on board. He made at least one painting of Ragdale Hall, which at that time was derelict just before being turned into a health spa. In the mid 1970s he was commissioned to paint a series of 24 large canvasses by Sir William McAlpine, on the history of the British steam locomotive. The project took three and a half years to complete, and was launched in 1977 at the Royal Exchange in London. The event was televised and attended by the Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, who later invited Weston and McAlpine to meet with him at Buckingham Palace.

David Weston (actor)
David Weston (born 28 July 1938, London) is an English actor, director and author. Since graduating from RADA in 1961 (having won the Silver Medal for that year) he has acted in numerous film, television and stage productions, including twenty-seven plays in Shakespeare's canon. With Michael Croft he was a founder member of the National Youth Theatre. Much of his directing work has been for that organisation; he has directed also at the Regent's Park Open Air Theatre and a number of other theatres in London. He wrote and narrated a series of non-fiction audio books, including Shakespeare His Life and Work which won the 2001 Benjamin Franklin Award for best audio non-fiction book.
Early career
Weston was educated at Alleyn's School, Dulwich, during the time that Michael Croft, founder of the National Youth Theatre, was there creating drama of a very high standard. In 1956 Croft directed a school production of Shakespeare's Henry IV, Part 2, which, when revived as a NYT production at the Toynbee Hall Theatre the following year, attracted the attention of the national press. Weston played Falstaff, a character singled out by The Times in its praise of the play's comedy.

David of Bulgaria
David (Bulgarian: Давид) (died 976) was a Bulgarian noble, brother of Emperor Samuel and eldest son of komes Nicholas. After the disastrous invasion of Rus' armies and the fall of North-eastern Bulgaria under Byzantine occupation in 971, he and his three younger brothers took the lead of the defence of the country. They executed their power together and each of them governed and defended a separate region. He ruled the southern-most parts of the realm from Prespa and Kastoria and was responsible for the defence the dangerous borders with Thessalonica and Thessaly. In 976 he participated in the major assault against the Byzantine Empire but was killed by vagrant Vlachs between Prespa and Kostur.

However, there's also another version about David’s origin. David gains the title "comes" during his service in the Byzantine army which recruited many Armenians from the Eastern region of the empire. The 11th-century historian Stepanos Asoghik wrote that Samuel had one brother, and they were Armenians from the district Derjan. This version is supported by the historians Nicholas Adontz, Jordan Ivanov, and Samuil's Inscription where it’s said that Samuel’s brother is David. Also, the historians Yahya and Al Makin clearly distinguish the race of Samuel and David (the Comitopouli) from the one of Moses and Aaron (the royal race):

David, Chiriquí
David (Spanish pronunciation: [daˈβið]) officially San José de David is a city and corregimiento located in the west of Panama. It is the capital of the province of Chiriquí and has an estimated population of 144,858 inhabitants as confirmed in 2013. It is a relatively affluent city with a firmly established, dominant middle class and a very low unemployment and poverty index. The Pan-American Highway is a popular route to David.
The development of the banking sector, public construction works such as the expansion of the airport and the David-Boquete highway alongside the growth of commercial activity in the city have increased its prominence as one of the fastest growing regions in the country. The city is currently the economic center of the Chiriqui province and produces more than half the gross domestic product of the province, which totals 2.1 billion. It is known for being the third-largest city in the country both in population and by GDP and for being the largest city in Western Panama.

David (Bernini)
David is a life-size marble sculpture by Gian Lorenzo Bernini. The sculpture was one of many commissions to decorate the villa of Bernini's patron Cardinal Scipione Borghese – where it still resides today, as part of the Galleria Borghese It was completed in the course of seven months from 1623 to 1624.
The subject of the work is the biblical David, about to throw the stone that will bring down Goliath, which will allow David to behead him. Compared to earlier works on the same theme (notably the David of Michelangelo), the sculpture broke new ground in its implied movement and its psychological intensity.
Background
Between 1618 and 1625 Bernini was commissioned to undertake various sculptural work for the villa of one of his patrons, Cardinal Scipione Borghese. In 1623 – only yet 24 years old – he was working on the sculpture of Apollo and Daphne, when, for unknown reasons, he abandoned this project to start work on the David. According to records of payment, Bernini had started on the sculpture by mid–1623, and his contemporary biographer, Filippo Baldinucci, states that he finished it in seven months.

David's presentation is a great example of the influence people have in the competence chain. David joined Maggie Braid Associates after setting up a Marine Training Facility for Survival Craft Inspectorate. Starting his career in the Royal Air Force, David worked as an engineering tradesman on Flight Systems (Avionics) on the Harrier GR3 and T4 Aircraft, before being promoted to Ground Electronic Systems (Communications and Radar). David joined Maggie Braid Associates after setting up a Marine Training Facility for Survival Craft Inspectorate. Starting his career in the Royal Air Force, David worked as an engineering tradesman on Flight Systems (Avionics) on the Harrier GR3 and T4 Aircraft, before being promoted to Ground Electronic Systems (Communications and Radar). As a senior non-commissioned officer, David developed Trade Training and Assessment Packages for new equipment, before running the EAL Assessment Centre at the Defence College of Communications Systems at RAF Cosford. Since leaving the RAF, David developed the Competence Assurance Framework for Hydrocarbon Resources Limited (Centrica Energy) and as an Approvals Auditor for OPITO.

David Weston is the founder/CEO of the Teacher Development Trust, the U.K.’s national charity for effective professional development in schools and colleges and one of the foremost voices on teacher development. He has written extensively in top education publications such as the TES and The Guardian, and was recently appointed to chair the U.K. Department for Education's new Teacher Professional Development Expert Group, charged with developing a new set of national standards. As one the first openly gay teachers in his school, he also founded OutTeacher.org and speaks frequently on TV and radio about LGBT issues.

David Weston gave this presentation on 11th June 2015 at the Competence and Human Factors event at the AECC. David's presentation is a great example of the influence people have in the competence chain.
David joined Maggie Braid Associates after setting up a Marine Training Facility for Survival Craft Inspectorate. Starting his career in the Royal Air Force, David worked as an engineering tradesman on Flight Systems (Avionics) on the Harrier GR3 and T4 Aircraft, before being promoted to Ground Electronic Systems (Communications and Radar). As a senior non-commissioned officer, David developed Trade Training and Assessment Packages for new equipment, before running the EAL Assessment Centre at the Defence College of Communications Systems at RAF Cosford. Since leaving the RAF, David developed the Competence Assurance Framework for Hydrocarbon Resources Limited (Centrica Energy) and as an Approvals Auditor for OPITO.

He is an influential billionaire and a business tycoon operating in San Andreas and runs various businesses.
