The arcade version of DDR X3 was revealed by Konami on June 2, 2011. A sequel to Dance Dance Revolution X2, X3 began public beta testing on June 8, 2011. Promotional information for the game reveal the full name for the game, called DanceDanceRevolution X3 VS 2ndMix(ダンスダンスレボリューションX3バーサスセカンドミックス,Dansu Dansu Reboryūshon Ekkusu Surī Bāsasu SekandoMikkusu) due to the new "2ndMix" mode in the game. It is released in Japan on November 16, 2011 for dedicated cabinet, November 30, 2011 for upgrade kits, and December 16, 2011 in Asia.
Development
Development on X3 began shortly after X2 was released. From June 8 to June 10, 2011, a location test was held in Akihabara, Tokyo. This location test revealed new songs and other features. These features include the new Target Score and BEMANI folders. The menu screens also got an update; they are now blue instead of green. Other enhancements to the theme were also made, such as the animation of the background (these animations are very similar to the one used on Dance Dance Revolution II). Konami also announced that there will be a new 2ndMIX mode, where the player can play a full HD version of DDR 2ndMIX.
Dance Dance Revolution X2(ダンスダンスレボリューションX2,Dansu Dansu Reboryūshon Ekkusu Tsū), sometimes abbreviated DDR X2 or simply X2, is a music video game, and a part of the Dance Dance Revolution series. Development
The first public location test for Dance Dance Revolution X2 was announced by Konami on November 20, 2009, to be held from the 25th to December 3, 2009 in Akihabara, Tokyo. The location test revealed new features such as a redesigned song selection interface, new adjustable versions of the Sudden and Hidden modifiers, and the ability to adjust these settings and the speed of the arrows in-game using the control buttons on the cabinet. The location test version did not contain an Extra Stage song, but "POSSESSION" was accessible on the build if certain conditions were met.
Dance Dance Revolution X2 is a music video game released by Konami for the North American PlayStation 2. Released on October 27, 2009 alongside Dance Dance Revolution Hottest Party 3, DDR X2 was one of the first Dance Dance Revolution games released to use songs from the 2009-10 soundtrack. It contains a unique soundtrack, a new master mode, additional modes of play and minor changes and refinements but is otherwise unchanged from its global predecessor Dance Dance Revolution X. It was the final DDR game released for the PlayStation 2.
Gameplay
Dice Master Mode
Dice Master Mode is the newest feature in the PlayStation Dance Dance Revolution X2 game. The mode requires you to roll dice and land on a specific space where a mission is placed. The mission will have a sealed envelope if not completed, and an open envelope if it is completed. You start out with a normal 1-6 sided dice, and a second dice which chooses which character will have to move that amount. Starting out with six characters, will you have to move in a dice pattern to unlock more missions, more characters, and more songs.
Dance Dance Revolution(ダンスダンスレボリューション,Dansu Dansu Reboryūshon), abbreviated DDR and also known as Dancing Stage in earlier games in Europe and Australasia, and some other games in Japan, is a music video game series produced by Konami. Introduced in Japan in 1998 as part of the Bemani series, and released in North America and Europe in 1999, Dance Dance Revolution is the pioneering series of the rhythm and dance genre in video games. Players stand on a "dance platform" or stage and hit colored arrows laid out in a cross with their feet to musical and visual cues. Players are judged by how well they time their dance to the patterns presented to them and are allowed to choose more music to play to if they receive a passing score.
Dance Dance Revolution has been given much critical acclaim for its originality and stamina in the video game market. There have been dozens of arcade-based releases across several countries and hundreds of home video game console releases, promoting a music library of original songs produced by Konami's in-house artists and an eclectic set of licensed music from many different genres. The DDR series has inspired similar games such as Pump It Up by Andamiro and In the Groove by Roxor.
To date, two official home versions of Dance Dance Revolution have been released for personal computers, with a third title currently in production. One title, Dancing Karaoke DKara, was released exclusively in Japan in 2001 and the other, Groove Motion DDR was released exclusively in North America in 2008. In contrast, dozens of programs with similar gameplay to Dance Dance Revolution have been released on multiple computer platforms by fans of the series.
Dancing Karaoke DKara
Released on January 16, 2001, Dancing Karaoke DKara combined the gameplay of Dance Dance Revolution with Karaoke style singing. Konami had previously released two titles with similar gameplay in the past as very rare arcade machines. The song selection was primarily download driven and features a unique set of music that has not been repeated in any other DDR game. The downloadable songs were sold for ¥150 a song and released in packs of varying size a week or so apart from each other. As of August 9, 2001 the total number of songs available for DKara including the original game and downloadable content was 80, however an undetermined number of songs have been released since then.
The music of Dance Dance Revolution Extreme is a greatest hits of sorts across the Dance Dance Revolution series as well as the entire Bemani franchise. The 240 song soundtrack is composed largely of Konami Originals, in-house music written and performed by Konami staff. It also contains many licensed tracks from Toshiba EMI's Dancemania catalog giving DDR Extreme one of the largest soundtracks of any DDR game to date.
Lists of songs
Arcade
The arcade release of Dance Dance Revolution Extreme contains 240 tracks, most of them revivals from previous Dance Dance Revolution games. Songs that are not initially available for play are represented with a padlock icon and are only accessible through the use of codes entered into the game's operator menu. The song "Legend of Max" appears on the end credits when the songs are locked.
PlayStation 2
The PlayStation 2 release of Dance Dance Revolution Extreme contains 111 tracks. In the same vein as the arcade release, the PlayStation 2 release contains a number of popular songs from past games which is uncommon in Japanese console releases. New to the series songs are in green, songs from other Bemani series are in yellow, songs originally from Dance Dance Revolution Solo are in purple, songs from previous DDR games are in blue, and Boss songs are in red. New Konami Originals that are not on the arcade soundtrack receive special coloring: DDR Originals are in pink, while BEMANI crossover songs are in orange. Songs that are not initially available are represented with a padlock icon and require certain conditions in-game to be met before they can be played.
Revolution X is an arcaderail shooter game developed and published by Midway in 1994, featuring the rock band Aerosmith. It features gameplay similar to Midway's earlier Terminator 2: Judgment Day. In the game, players battle the oppressive New Order Nation regime and their leader Helga, who have abducted Aerosmith. Players use a mounted gun to control onscreen crosshairs and shoot enemies using compact discs. The members of Aerosmith are hidden throughout the game's international locales and must be found in order to receive the game's true ending.
The game was ported to various consoles as well as DOS computers. These ports were negatively received and reportedly dissuaded Midway from making a sequel.
Plot
In a dystopian version of 1996, an alliance of corrupt government and corporate military forces have taken control of the world in the guise of the "New Order Nation" (NON). The NON, with their vampish commander Head Mistress Helga (portrayed by Kerri Hoskins)), have declared war on youth culture (anyone aged from 13 to 30) and have banned all forms of music, television, magazines, and video games. The player travels to "Club X" in Los Angeles to see Aerosmith perform live, but the band is captured by NON troops and hustled off the stage in the middle of their show. After escaping from the club, the player steals a helicopter and flies across the city to find Steven Tyler's car. From here, the player must destroy three NON installations in other parts of the world, then travel to London to defeat Helga and her remaining forces at Wembley Stadium.

Dance Dance Revolution X2 (JP CS) Full Song List
