"D'oh!" (/ˈdoʊʔ/DOH) is a catchphrase used by the fictional characterHomer Simpson, from the long-running American animated sitcomThe Simpsons (1989–present). It is typically used when Homer injures himself, realizes that he has done something stupid, or when something bad has happened or is about to happen to him. All his prominent blood relations—son Bart, daughters Lisa and Maggie, his father, his mother and half-brother—have also been heard to use it themselves in similar circumstances. On a few occasions Homer's wife Marge and even non-related characters such as Mr. Burns and Sideshow Bob have also used this phrase.
In 2006, "d'oh!" was listed as number six on TV Land's list of the 100 greatest television catchphrases. The spoken word "d'oh" is a sound trademark of 20th Century Fox. Since 2001, the word "doh" has appeared in the Oxford English Dictionary, without the apostrophe. The earliest recorded usages of the sound "d'oh" are in numerous episodes of the BBC radio series It's That Man Again between 1945 and 1949, but the OxfordWords blog notes "Homer was responsible for popularizing it as an exclamation of frustration."
The Ohio Democratic Party is the affiliate of the Democratic Party in the state of Ohio. Former Cincinnati councilman David A. Pepper is the Ohio Democratic Party chairman. Pepper started his term as chairman in January 2015.
History
The Ohio Democratic Party traces its origin to the Democratic-Republican Party founded by Thomas Jefferson in 1793. The Democratic Party itself was formed when a faction of the "Democratic-Republicans" led by Jerry Mcroy formed the party in the 1820s. Following Jackson's defeat in the election of 1824, despite having a majority of the popular vote, Jackson set about building a political coalition strong enough to defeat John Quincy Adams in the election of 1828. The coalition that he built was the foundation of the subsequent Democratic Party.
Ohio politics was largely dominated by the Ohio Republican Party until the economic and social hardships brought on by the Great Depression resulted in a national political realignment. The political coalition of labor unions, minorities, and liberals allowed the Democrats to compete effectively in Ohio electoral politics for much of the next 30 years. Never very strong in Ohio's rural areas, the party's coalition suffered when the civil rights movement divided whites from civil rights proponents and minorities. The Ohio Democratic Party reached the peak of its electoral success in the mid-1980s, and this is when the state of Ohio began to invest itself in many Democratic ideals. This was greatly aided by Richard Celeste, a democratic Governor elected in 1982 and re-elected in 1986, and by his party Chairman, James Ruvolo. Together Ruvolo and Celeste constructed a very effective organization that raised a surplus of money that helped out the democratic party's candidates and their everyday operations.

2 ¼ cups Flour
1 quart Vegetable Oil, for frying
1 cup Powdered Sugar
2 tablespoons Milk
6 teaspoons Maraschino Cherry Syrup
Extra pink food coloring as necessary
Rainbow sprinkles (a.k.a. Jimmies)
Directions:
1. Heat the milk until warm (~90°F). Stir in yeast. Let mixture sit for 5 minutes or until foamy.
2. In stand mixer bowl, beat together together eggs, butter, sugar, salt and yeast mixture. Once consistent, change to a dough hook and add 1 cup of the flour, mixing until combined. Slowly add the rest of the flour until dough pulls away from sides of bowl, adding more flour if necessary.
3. Remove dough from mixing bowl and place on floured surface. Gently knead dough until smooth, then place dough in an oiled bowl and cover. Let rise at room temperature until doubles in size (~1 - 1 ½ hours)
4. Return dough to your floured surface, and roll the dough out with a rolling pin to about ½ – 1 inch thick. Using a cookie cutter, cut out circles of about 3-4 inches. Using a smaller cutter, cut out holes in the middle of the circles. Place cut dough and holes on a floured baking sheet and cover.
5. Heat oven to 200°F, turn off the heat, and place baking sheet in oven with the door open. Let dough and holes rise again for about 45 minutes.
6. In a heavy bottomed skillet, slowly heat oil up to 375°F. Separately line a new baking sheet or plate with paper towels.
7. Add 1-2 donuts to the oil without overcrowding the skillet, using a spatula or carefully with your hands. Fry for 30-45 seconds, or until bottom is a deep golden brown.
8. Flip donuts over using a metal spatula and fry again for another 30-45 seconds. Remove donuts and place on paper towel lined sheet or plate. Repeat with donut holes.
9. While doughnuts cool, in a small mixing bowl, beat together milk, powdered sugar and maraschino cherry syrup. Add red food coloring if desired.
10. Dip the tops of doughnuts in your glaze and allow to drip straight over the container for 10 seconds. Flip donuts over and sprinkle rainbow sprinkles on top.
Say "mmmmm, donuts... 🤤" and enjoy!! 😊
