A cubic centimetres (or cubic centimetersin US English) (SI unit symbol: cm3; non-SI abbreviations: cc and ccm) is a commonly used unit of volume that extends the derived SI-unit cubic metre, and corresponds to the volume of a cube that measures 1cm × 1cm × 1cm. One cubic centimetre corresponds to a volume of 1/1,000,000 of a cubic metre, or 1/1,000 of a litre, or one millilitre; thus, 1cm3 ≡ 1ml. The mass of one cubic centimetre of water at 3.98°C (the temperature at which it attains its maximum density) is closely equal to one gram. Note that SI supports only the use of symbols and deprecates the use of any abbreviations for units. Hence cm3 is preferred to cc or ccm.
Many scientific fields have replaced cubic centimeters with milliliters. The medical and automotive fields in the United States still use the term cubic centimetre. Much of the automotive industry outside the U.S. has switched to litres. The United Kingdom uses millilitres in preference to cubic centimetres in the medical field, but not the automotive. Most other English-speaking countries follow the UK example.

How to Convert from Cubic Inches to Cubic Centimeters
How to convert cubic inches to cubic centimeters? Physics
To convert the volume units of cubic inches to cubic centimeters you will need to the information that 1 inch = 2.54 cm.
Begin by setting up your equation, ensuring that the values on each side of the equation are equivalent. From here you want to multiply 1 inch³ by (2.54 cm / 1 in)³ as this is effectively multiplying by 1. By doing so you create an opportunity for units to cancel out and will be left with cm³.

Each of the 1,400+ CTC Math tutorials last around 4-9 minutes and presents the concepts of the math lesson step-by-step. Using synchronised audio and animation which harnesses both audio and visual learning styles simultaneously. CTC math lessons can be studied at home or at school and even on some modern mobile phones. Obviously no one can force a young person to study math, but what we have done here is to provide materials that are interesting and stimulating in themselves, and which will encourage the student, once started, to continue studying.
Completing the Interactive Questions or Worksheet
Following each math tutorial there are interactive questions or an optional printable worksheet which tests the understanding of key concepts. Answers are entered into CTC Math automated marking system which then stores the results in each individual student's ongoing progress report. This brings in the third learning style - Kinaesthetic, which is the process of actually doing the math yourself.
One Page Summaries
A printable one page summary of each tutorial provides the student with concise and complete notes from the math tutorial. Ideal as a reminder for homework, revision and review.
View Worked Solutions
After answers have been submitted, printable fully worked solutions become available showing every step which should be taken to reach the correct answer, just as it should be done in a math exam.
Marking and Reports
Ongoing progress reports are built for each individual. This helps parents and students in identifying weaker areas requiring further study. Every math lesson a student attempts is logged and the results stored along with statistical information detailing when they passed, what they scored and how much time and effort they put in to pass that lesson. Parents can instantly see the areas where their children may need additional help.

In this tutorial, you will understand with an activity demonstration, about the relation between centimetre cube, or cc and litres. By this practical demo, you will never forget how to convert litre to cubic centimetres OR cm3 to litres.
