A walk around Cramond Village | Edinburgh
In this weeks Edinburgh Vlog we take a trip out to Cramond Village. We see the Firth of Forth, Cramond island - which you can't get to when the tide is in. We also take a little walk along the coast, and a look at the boats. After that we go to Cramond Kirk and accidentally discover where the earliest settlers were in Scotland, and the remains of an Actual Roman Fort. Real Archeology.

A Winter's Day in Cramond, Edinburgh, Scotland.
Cramond Village has a lovely seaside harbour and is located just a few miles north-west from Edinburgh city centre. It's one of our favourite places to visit in Edinburgh and is lovely in all seasons. In this video we take a walk up the River Almond Old Mill Trail, from the harbour to Cramond Falls and the ruined Fair a Far Mill. We're so lucky to live and work in such a beautiful city with amazing access to such beautiful coastline.
This video is part of my 'Life in Scotland' series, where I share what it's like to live and work in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Cramond Island, Edinburgh, Scotland
This summer, I visited Cramond Island in Edinburgh for the first time, on the hottest day of the year, which was absolutely fascinating. Cramond Island is about a third of a mile long and belongs to the Dalmeny Estate. Cramond Island is tidal and is accessible via the causeway which takes about fifteen minutes or so on foot. Please ensure you check the safe crossing times before you go, as people have got trapped on the island in the past and the tide comes in fast. There is a board you can consult at the start of the causeway.
The beaches are lovely to visit and there's a wide variety of wildlife and wild flowers on the island. The old gun placements and WWII military fortifications are dotted around the island and well worth exploring.
