Classic is supported on PowerPC-based Macintosh computers running versions of Mac OS X up to 10.4 "Tiger", but is not supported with 10.5 "Leopard", nor on Intel-based Macintosh computers running any version of Mac OS X.
Overview
Classic is a descendant of Rhapsody's "Blue Box" emulation layer, which served as a proof of concept. (Previously, Apple A/UX also offered a virtualized MacOS environment on top of a UNIX operating system.) It uses a Mac OS 9 System Folder, and a New World ROM file to bridge the differences between the older PowerPC Macintosh platforms and the XNUkernel environment. Classic was created as a key element of Apple's strategy to replace the "classic" Mac OS (versions 9 and below) with Mac OS X as the standard operating system (OS) used by Macintosh computers by eliminating the need to use the older OS directly.
CLASSIC ENVIRONMENT - EPISODE 2 | Peter Grigorian's Tech Talk
Recently, Peter found a USB stick with bunch of old videos and reuploaded some of these videos to YouTube.
One of these videos was ironically called "DON'T WATCH IT" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yJNcGmfc5ig&t=140s)
Today, Peter's about to revisit this topic and explains Classic Environment in a better way for you!

Macintosh Classic Environment ( Mac OS 9.2 ) under Mac OS 10.4
Classic, or Classic Environment, is a hardware and software abstraction layer in early versions of Mac OS X that allows applications compatible with Mac OS 9 to run on the Mac OS X operating system. The name "Classic" is also sometimes used to differentiate between programming for Mac OS X and the previous version of the Mac OS. Classic is supported on PowerPC-based Macs running versions of Mac OS X up to v10.4 Tiger, but is not supported on v10.5 Leopard and later, nor on Intel-based Macs running any version of Mac OS X.

In this video, I will show you the simplest way to get Classic Environment working on PowerPC-based Macs running Mac OS X 10.4.x and older.

Hope this guide is useful for those who in need!

I've done Loremaster with this guide, can confirm it works well. It's been made by Classic WoW's top speedrunners so it's no wonder. Gold making guides tailored to your server and professions also available: https://www.restedxp.com/?ref=WillE Use Code: WILLE for 5% off!
Classic WoW has a bit of a reputation for people trying a little too hard on easy content, never has this been more true for when the ranking and honor system released in phase 2 of Classic.
Today I talk through how this system worked and all the little details that players took advantage of during what was for me, without a doubt, the sweatiest 2 months of gaming Classic WoW has ever seen.
