The greedy nephew Philip Hasting (Reginald Denny (actor)) of eccentric Matilda Reid (Ann Harding) seeks to have her judged incompetent so he can administer her wealth; In an informal meeting with her nephew, the doctor Dr. Doremus and the judge Alston they convene that she will be saved if her three long-lost adopted sons appear for a Christmas Eve reunion, as any of them is the one she could trust, but not her nephew.
Later on it is revealed that nephew Philip did some very illegal things with her money, but she doesn't claim anything. Separate stories reveal with the help of Private Detective Gimlet (Joe Sawyer) that Michael (George Brent) is a bankrupt playboy loved by loyal Ann Nelson (Joan Blondell); Mario (George Raft) is a seemingly shady character tangling with a Nazi war criminal in South America and a beautiful lady, Jean Bradford (Dolores Moran); Jonathan (Randolph Scott) is a hard-drinking rodeo rider who falls for a flirtatious woman Claire (Virginia Field) at the station, that reveals to be a police-woman in disguise chasing after an orphanage that doesn't seem to do right. Finally the gathering at the Christmas Eve happened and the couple Johnatan-Claire bring the three girl orphans from the orphanage. Aunt Matilda feels like the day she got the three little boys for adoption,
Christmas Eve (Russian:Ночь перед Рождеством, Noch' pered Rozhdestvom), is an opera in four acts with music and libretto by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov. Composed between 1894 and 1895, Rimsky-Korsakov based his opera on a short story, "Christmas Eve", from Nikolay Gogol'sEvenings on a Farm Near Dikanka. The story had been used as the basis for an opera at least three times previously, including for Tchaikovsky's Vakula the Smith (1874). Oliver Knussen writes that "Rimsky is only interested in recreating the atmosphere of the folk-tale, fleshing it out for his stage pageant in a comparable way to Humperdinck in Hansel.
Performance history
The premiere took place on 10 December 1895 in St. Petersburg.
The widow Solokha agrees to help the Devil steal the moon. The Devil is annoyed with Solokha's son Vakula, who painted an icon mocking him. The Devil decides to create a snowstorm to prevent Vakula from seeing his beloved Oksana. While the storm rages, Solokha rides up to the sky and steals the moon, while the Deacon and Oksana's father, Chub, are unable to find their way.

This is a list of characters appearing in The Sandman comic book, published by DC Comics' Vertigoimprint. This page discusses not only events which occur in The Sandman (1989–94), but also some occurring in spinoffs of The Sandman (such as The Dreaming [1996–2001] and Lucifer [1999–2007]) and in earlier stories that The Sandman was based on. These stories occur in the DC Universe, but are generally tangential to the mainstream DC stories.
The Endless
The Endless are a family of seven anthropomorphic personifications of universal concepts, around whom much of the series revolves. From eldest to youngest, they are:
Delirium (formerly "Bliss" (in Omnibus volume 1) Delight (in Omnibus volume 2)
All debuted in the Sandman series, except Destiny, who was created by Marv Wolfman and Berni Wrightson in Weird Mystery Tales #1 (1972). A more traditional version of Death had appeared in various previous stories, however.
The Outfoxies(アウトフォクシーズ,Autofokkushīzu) is a fightingarcade game which was released by Namco in 1994; it ran on Namco NB-2 hardware and features several professional hitmen secretly set against each other by a held-in-common client, "Mr. Acme". Acme and his wife had hired each of them to assassinate a wealthy art collector, then arranged for them to kill each other to ultimately avoid having to pay their fee - and it is an early example of arena fighting game which predates the straight-to-console Super Smash Bros. and Jump Super Stars series.
Characters
John Smith(ジョン・スミス,Jon Sumisu): An average man who is willing to do anything for money, no matter how simple (such as babysitting) or how risky (such as instigating a revolution); he is thirty-eight years old (which means that he was born in 1956), is five feet and eleven inches tall and weighs 177 pounds. He will fight the other characters at a skyscraper where he will have set a bomb.
Dweeb(ドゥイーブ,Doību): A chimpanzee who is the only assassin in the game who works for bananas, and is also the son of a famous chimpanzee known as "Mr. Happy" (who has no connections to the Mr. Men series); he is ten years old (which means he was born in 1984), is two feet and five inches tall and weighs 62 pounds. He fights upon a military plane where he plans to steal munitions.

Well, it's the Christmas season, so I thought I'd take a look at something of a festive holoday spirit, and for this review I'll be looking at the film Christmas Eve from 1947. It's an enjoyable, feel-good Christmas films with some interesting twists and unexpected sub-plots. I'll give an overview of the film, and then offer some closing thoughts.

Another, fugitive Mario (George Raft), is hiding in South America. The last, Jonathan (Randolph Scott), is a small-time cowboy. All three must come home to save Matilda's fortune.
Dolores Moran, who appeared in the cast, was Bogeaus' wife at the time. The film marked Ann Harding's first appearance since It Happened on Fifth Avenue.
In November 1946 Bogeaus announced that Raft, Scott and Brent would star. Each star would film for two weeks individually and then act together for one week.
Filming started on 18 November with the Brent-Joan Blondell sequence.
During filming, George Raft suffered first-degree burns in his right leg when a maritime engine caught fire and set his clothes alight.

Starring: Richard Attenborough, Elizabeth Perkins, Dylan McDermott
Directed By: Les Mayfield
Synopsis: Six-year-old Susan Walker (Mara Wilson) is skeptical of the Christmas myth surrounding Santa Claus, a trait she perhaps learned from her mother, Dorey (Elizabeth Perkins). When tasked with hiring the Santa who will pose with kids at Macy's, Dorey enlists a man with the curious name of Kris Kringle (Richard Attenborough) who claims to be Santa himself. His assertions are met with scoffs and threats of institutionalization, but a young lawyer, along with Susan and Dorey, comes to his defense.

By Richard Starkey and Mark Hudson IT'S CHRISTMAS AND YOU'RE NOT HERE, THE SNOW IS FALLING DOWN, LIKE MY TEARS. I SEE YOUR PRESENTS BY THE TREE, I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU'RE NOT WITH ME ON CHRISTMAS, CHRISTMAS EVE. IT'S CHRISTMAS WITH STARS ABOVE, HOW MANY TIMES HAS IT BEEN SAID A TIME FOR LOVE? AND UNDERNEATH THE MISTLETOE I'M STANDING HERE ALL ALONE ON CHRISTMAS, CHRISTMAS EVE. I HEAR YOUR VOICE I SEE YOUR SMILE YOU WERE MY CHRISTMAS SONG. BUT NOW YOU'RE GONE, NOW YOU'RE GONE. IT'S CHRISTMAS, IT SEEMS SO LONG, THE LIGHTS ARE ALL AROUND THE TREE BUT NOT TURNED ON. I SAW YOUR FOOTPRINTS IN THE SNOW I'D NEVER THOUGHT YOU'D REALLY GO ON CHRISTMAS, CHRISTMAS EVE. IT'S CHRISTMAS. IT'S CHRISTMAS EVE.
