The Central Artery, officially known as the John F. Fitzgerald Expressway, is a section of freeway in downtown Boston, Massachusetts, designated as Interstate 93 (I-93), U.S. Route 1 (US1) and Route 3. It was initially constructed in the 1950s as a partly elevated and partly tunneled divided highway and named after John F. Fitzgerald. Now, however, it is mostly made up of tunnels that were built during a ten-year period from the mid-1990s to the early 2000s as part of the Big Dig (Central Artery/Tunnel) project.
The former route of the above ground Artery was known locally as "The Distressway", "the largest parking lot in the world", and "the other Green Monster", a reference to a famous part of the city's Fenway Park baseball stadium, due to the paint color of its girders and its disruption of previously uninterrupted passage between Boston neighborhoods. The structure was replaced mostly by open space known formally as the Rose Kennedy Greenway, named after the daughter of John F. Fitzgerald and the mother of John F. Kennedy.

Central Retinal Artery Occlusion (CRAO): Fundoscopy
Central Retinal Artery Occlusion
The classic fundoscopic appearance of central retinal artery occlusion is a pale retina with a cherry red spot. This appearance, however, may not become evident for several hours. Other findings may include retinal arterial attenuatio, retinal arterial segmentation, retinal emboli and plaques, and optic disc oedema or atrophy. As the retinal oedema resolves over days to weeks, the characteristic fundal appearance will withdraw, however retinal attenuation may persist and optic atrophy can develop.

Central Retinal Artery Occlusion with Cilioretinal Artery Sparing - Fluorescein Angiogram Video
75 year old woman with 3 day history of sudden vision loss who presented with 20/50 visual acuity and white spots in the macula. The video nicely shows that her central retinal artery is occluded and the circulation to her macula is through a patent cilioretinal artery. The central retinal artery fills toward the end of the video in a pulsatile manner. Look in the upper right of the video and you can see the pulsatile flow from the cilioretinal artery in the retinal vein. This is a very nice application of vidoeangiography
