3 x Campari cocktails for people that HATE Campari
Campari is an unmistakable, vibrant red Italian bitter that is at the heart of some of the world’s most famous and well-loved cocktails, such as the Negroni...but for some it is overwhelmingly bitter. So here are my cocktail recommendations to introduce someone to Campari that doesn't actually like the Italian bitter liqueur. You'll be surprised I'm sure!

What Is the Difference Between Aperol & Campari?
Campari and Aperol are both bitter liqueurs made in Italy and commonly used in cocktails as aperitifs, but they differ in taste and alcohol content. Campari has a stronger, more bitter taste with strong notes of herbs and spices and higher alcohol content (24%), while Aperol has a lighter, sweeter flavor with notes of orange and rhubarb and a lower alcohol content (11%).
Campari and Aperol are both popular Italian aperitifs, cherished worldwide for their unique flavors and contribution to signature cocktails. Campari, established in 1860, is known for its bold, bitter taste, and a higher alcohol content of 24% ABV. It is characterized by its dark red color and is typically used in drinks like the Negroni or the Americano. On the other hand, Aperol, introduced in 1919, has a lighter, less ...

The Negroni and the Americano | easy cocktails with Campari!
In today's video I will show you how to make the Americano AND the Negroni! I'm doing these together because they are part of the same cocktail family. It all started with the Americano in the late 1800's, which was derived from a drink called the Milano-Torino, a mix of Campari (an apéritif from Milan) and Punt e Mes (a vermouth from Torino). With the addition of soda water, it became a favorite of American tourists by the turn of the 20th century, and was soon simply known as the Americano. Fast forward to 1919 in Florence, Italy, where an Americano was ordered with the substitution of gin in place of soda water. With this attempt at making the Americano stronger, the Negroni was born! Other variations soon followed creating a whole family of cocktails, but today it's all about the origi...

Today’s cocktail is the Campari Shakerato! We only need one ingredient to make it, but we’ll go crazy and add some lemon oil on top. This drink's all about the preparation - it must be vigorously shaken! Shaking adds air to the drink, giving it a light texture and softening the bold flavor of Campari. Obviously, this is one for the Campari lovers, but we'll also test the "shakerato" technique with a couple other spirits. No guaranty it'll work, but that's what makes experimenting fun! Its alcohol content is lower at around 11%, and its bright orange hue is visually appealing in beverages. Aperol is most notably used in the Aperol Spritz, a refreshing cocktail that is gaining popularity for its vibrant color and Insta-worthy appeal. Despite their differences, both Campari and Aperol share a captivating blend of sweetness and bitterness, which has secured their places in the world of classic liqueurs.

Follow this recipe to make an authentic Campari Spritz and be able to enjoy how it was intended in your home!

Tämä drinkki on voittanut Disaronnin (tunnettu mantelilikööristään, joka oikeasti on tehty aprikoosin kivistä) järjestämän drinkkikilpailun vuonna 2013, joten olettaisi sen olevan vähintäänkin kohtuullinen. Olen harrastelijamiksologi ja teen kotioloissa drinkkejä. Kerron mielipiteeni drinkeistä nettisivustollani miksologia.fi.
DRINKIN AINESOSAT:
45 ml mantelilikööri (Disaronno Originale)
30 ml London dry gin (Gordon’s London Dry Gin)
10 ml Campari
30 ml vastapuristettu sitruunamehu
10 ml passionsiirappi
