One such author is Flo Braker, whose impeccable (and impeccably written) recipes are models of the craft. One of Flo’s famous recipes is her Crystal Almond Pound Cake, so-called because the sugary glaze crystallizes into a crunchy shell around the cake. 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips (180g)
1 cup hot heavy cream (250ml)

Here is the recipe to the chocolate cake.
Ingredients:
1 cup (240g) unsalted butter, softened
1 cup (200g) sugar
1 cup (220g) brown sugar
1 Tbsp Vanilla extract
3 large eggs, room temp
1 3/4 cup (210g) all purpose flour
1 cup (85g) unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/2 baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 cup (240ml) buttermilk
1/2 cup (115g) sour cream
Shot of espresso room temp. 3ish tablespoons
Preheat oven to 350 degrees (180C) Grease and Flour your Bundt Pan . Set aside.
Cake:
In a large mixing bowl using an electric mixer, cream butter and sugars together until light and fluffy 8ish min. Mix in vanilla, and blend well. Add eggs, 1 at a time , beating until light and fluffy. In a medium bowl, sift flour , cocoa, baking soda and salt together. Set aside. Mix buttermilk , sour cream & espresso into batter, alternating with sifted dry ingredients, starting and ending with dry ingredients. Mix well, but do not over beat. Bake 40-45 min. Carefully insert toothpick in the center. Your looking for a semi clean toothpick , a few moist crumbs not wet batter once removed. Cool pan 5-8 minutes. Invert cake onto a rack and cool completely. Top with glaze, icing, powder sugar. Or use to make chocoflan.

How To Make Moist & Delicious Lemon Bundt Cake with Claire Saffitz | Dessert Person
One of my favorite sources for dessert inspiration is the work of several renowned pastry chefs and cookbook authors from the 1980s and ’90s. One such author is Flo Braker, whose impeccable (and impeccably written) recipes are models of the craft. One of Flo’s famous recipes is her Crystal Almond Pound Cake, so-called because the sugary glaze crystallizes into a crunchy shell around the cake. Here I apply Flo’s glazing technique to my olive oil-based Meyer lemon Bundt cake. Because incorporating too much lemon juice into the batter can weaken the structure and throw off the leavening, I add it to the glaze for extra fresh lemon flavor. The olive
oil in the glaze helps to preserve the cake and keeps it moist and delicious for an entire week.
