Breath of Fire(Japanese:ブレスオブファイア,Hepburn:Buresu obu Faia) is a role-playing video game series developed by Capcom. It originated on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1993. The series is notable for its recurring characters and ambiguous continuity; though each game is its own self-contained story, the names of the two lead characters are, invariably, Ryu and Nina.
The story commonly involves an adventurer named Ryu who can shapeshift into different types of dragons. Over the course of his journey, he befriends Nina, a girl with wings. At its inception, Breath of Fire took place in a medievalfantasy style fictional world. Following the mainstream success of Japanese role-playing games in the 1990s, the series began using the original anime-style artwork for later Western releases of the games (rather than the Westernized art that was drawn specifically for the Western releases of the first two games), post-apocalyptic themes, and an increased emphasis on character development. Despite these changes, the core structure of Breath of Fire remains largely linear and plot-focused. As of 2003, five Breath of Fire titles have been released, with three games being ported to handheld game consoles as well as Nintendo's Virtual Console. To date, the series has sold over 3 million units worldwide.
Breath of Fire(Japanese:ブレス オブ ファイア 竜の戦士,Hepburn:Buresu obu Faia: Ryū no Senshi, Breath of Fire: The Dragon Warrior) is a role-playing video game developed by Capcom originally for the SNES. Initially released in Japan in April 1993, the game was later made available in North America in August 1994 by Square Soft, who handled the title's English localization and promotion.
Recognized by Capcom as their first traditional role-playing video game, Breath of Fire would set the precedent for future entries in the series, and features character designs by company head of development Keiji Inafune, as well as music by members of Capcom's in-house sound team Alph Lyla. In 2001, the game was re-released for the Game Boy Advance handheld system with new save features and minor graphical enhancements, with the English version being released in Europe for the first time.
Set in a fantasy world, Breath of Fire follows the journey of a boy named Ryu, one of the last surviving members of an ancient race with the ability to transform into mighty dragons, as he searches the world for his sister. During his quest, Ryu meets other warriors who share his quest, and comes into conflict with the Dark Dragon Clan, a militaristic empire who seeks to take over the world by reviving a mad goddess. The game experienced mostly positive reception upon release, and was followed by a direct sequel, Breath of Fire II, in 1994.
Breath of Fire II(Japanese:ブレス オブ ファイアII 使命の子,Hepburn:Buresu obu Faia Tsū: Shimei no Ko, Breath of Fire II: The Destined Child) is a role-playing video game developed and published by Capcom. First released in 1994, the game was licensed to Laguna for European release in 1996. It is the second entry in the Breath of Fire series. It was later ported to Game Boy Advance and re-released worldwide. The game has been rated by the ESRB for release on Wii's Virtual Console and was released in North America on August 27, 2007. Nintendo of Europe's website mistakenly announced it for release on July 27, 2007, but it was in fact released two weeks later, on August 10, 2007.
Unlike later installments in the series, Breath of Fire II is a direct sequel to Breath of Fire. Set 500 years after the original game, the story centers on an orphan named Ryu Bateson, whose family vanished mysteriously long ago. After his friend is falsely accused of a crime, Ryu embarks on a journey to clear his name.

Breath of Fire is an RPG game released by Capcom for Super Nintendo in 1993, being the first RPG produced by Capcom. And why do you see the name of SquareSoft in this game? The answer is simple, Capcom produced full Breath of Fire and released in Japan, but was not sure if the game would succeed in the West, then SquareSoft saw the quality of the title and offered to launch in the West, having been a game successful in a time when the RPGs were making a success in the SNES.
In this game we control Ryu, half human / half dragon and one of the last descendants of the clan of the Light Dragons, warriors that can transform into powerful dragons. Ryu lived with his sister Sara, in a small village that was attacked by the rival clan, Dark Dragons, clan that wanted to re...

In this game we control Ryu, half human / half dragon and one of the last descendants of the clan of the Light Dragons, warriors that can transform into powerful dragons. Ryu lived with his sister Sara, in a small village that was attacked by the rival clan, Dark Dragons, clan that wanted to reunite the 6 keys of the goddess and to resurrect the Tyr Goddess and to cause a great chaos to the world. Sara manages to convince Jade, the second main general in command of the Dark Dragons, that she is the only survivor of the Light Dragons clan, and Jade prefers to kidnap Sara, instead of killing her.
In the face of all this, Ryu goes out into the world to save his sister, rescue the keys and prevent the Dark Dragons from ending the world, so he will have the help of characters like Nina (specialist in healing spells and princess of the Clan of Windia, clan where men and women can transform into giant birds and fly when they reach maturity), Bo (the archer ranger of a race of humanoid wolves of the Forest clan, able to cross forests through the map), Karn (the leader of the thieves of the city of Bleak, able to overcome any trap, open any door and make fusions with other characters), Gobi (a very ambitious half man/half fish, with trade skills and turning into giant fish), Ox (a giant clan being of the Iron Ogres, who are peaceful despite their colossal appearance and are skilled blacksmiths), Bleu (a great sorceress, half woman/half serpent and endowed with enormous black and elemental magic skills), Mogu (character of the mole men race, able to dig in specific places on the map to find rare items).
It is undoubtedly a very well produced game, its only problem is not having a button to run (problem that has been corrected in the version for GBA). The entire video was made with all the fusions, all the dragon transformations and the best ending. Hope you like it.
