BOONE COUNTY, Ar. - Possible human remains were discovered on the bank of Crooked Creek near McDonald Road, the Boone County Sheriff's Office said in a press release.
Authorities conducted a search of the area and recovered a body from a brush pile.
The remains will be sent to the state crime lab to conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death and attempt to identify the person.
A couple, John and Amy Villines, went missing Nov. 30, 2018 in Harrison, Arkansas after they were swept away in flash flooding.
A nearby lake was drained in December an effort to find the couple, but they still have not been located.
The Boone County Sheriff told the Harrison Daily Times it's possible the body found today is John Villines, but a crime lab will make the final determination.

Storm Destroys Home in Boone County
BOONE COUNTY, Ark. -- Several homes in Boone County, just east of Bergman were damaged by the severe storm that swept through the area. Large trees were uprooted and power lines were downed.

Body Found Identified as John Villines of Harrison
BOONE COUNTY, Ark. -- There's finally some closure for a grieving Harrison family.
The crime lab confirmed Tuesday morning that the body found near a creek in Boone County is that of John Villines.
The Sheriff told reporters that around 11 Tuesday morning, a citizen called them and said they noticed something suspicious lying near Crooked Creek, close to McDonald and Harmon Roads. That's about 21 miles from Lake Harrison, where the couple was believed to be initially.

Boone County Sheriff Mike Moore talked to reporters about their continued efforts to give the family peace.
"We've contacted the family and allowed them to digest this ne...

Hilltop Road Retreat is a gem located in the Boston Mountains of northern Arkansas. Situated in the middle of 16 acres sets a marvelous 3000 square foot home with multiple garages. The three-bedroom, four-bath is beautiful with multiple spacious living areas, including a finished walkout basement. The land is an excellent mixture of open and wooded land with multiple wet-weather creeks!
Land
The land is just off Hilltop Road and feels very secluded, yet only a short 25-minute drive to Harrison, Arkansas. With the beautiful, well-maintained large 2-story home as the centerpiece of the acreage. The home sets down a private graveled road that makes you feel like you are driving into a park! Located on the land are two wet weather creeks that come together, creating a beautiful stream running just off the back deck of the house. The creeks themselves run over half the year in a typical year. The 15.9 acres is gently rolling terrain that produces incredible views of the Ozark Mountains. With a large amount of native stone, great landscaping can be accomplished with stone directly from the property. Deer, turkeys, and even the occasional black bear call the property home.
Improvements
The home is approximately 3000 square feet of finished living space. The approximate 1700 sqft upstairs includes the primary bedroom suite with a large bathroom and walk-in closets. There are two additional bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms, along with the great room, dining area, and kitchen. The flooring in the central part of the house is hand-scraped hickory hardwood flooring and looks amazing below the Pecky Cyprus wood on the ceiling. A beautiful rock propane fireplace is the center of the great room. The downstairs has a fantastic large room with a kitchenette, full bathroom, laundry, office, and storage. There is a second fireplace in the excellent downstairs room. An attached two-car garage with very tall ceilings and downstairs a 16×12 smaller workshop is perfect for tools and a lawnmower. You will find two separate decks at the back of the house to enjoy the beautiful northern Arkansas views and weather. The central heating and air were replaced two years ago. This house is a must-see!
Location
Hilltop Road Retreat is located near Gaither Mountain Overlook, known for its fantastic views of the Boston Mountains. A twenty-minute drive can take you to the Buffalo River or view the famous Elk Herd in Boxley Valley. Harrison, Arkansas, is also centrally located 1.5 hours from Fayetteville, Arkansas, and Springfield, Missouri.

What a dream! This amazing property is packed with unique and special features you can’t believe until you see it. As you approach the home, you enter via gravel county road to an open pasture where a setting like a Rockwell painting greets you. An immense amount of dirt work made this place accessible and comfortable. The wonderfully maintained driveway is completely chatted and ditched to help with runoff and leads either to the oversized two-car garage or a circle drive to the front door to welcome the guests. At first glance, you may have to catch your breath as the home overlooks the stunning valley below and the mountains all around; the view is truly breathtaking and was a focal point of the design to be seen from almost any point. The garage was built to accommodate almost any vehicle being 25’ deep with 9’ doors. There is also an additional workshop room off the garage, perfect for tool storage and small projects and even boasts 220 outlets for air compressors. A mechanical room was brilliantly placed off the workshop with extra storage, the well pressure tank, water softener, and even a half bath. A full-coverage large storage shed off the side of the house has gravel flooring and is the ideal spot for a tractor, extra vehicles, ATVs, or any other equipment you may need to manage your incredible acreage. There is an enclosed gardening area with raised beds, water, and electricity for any project you have in mind. The majestic home greets you with a massive, covered porch with custom railing and easy access to any entry of the home. Topping off the main level is the enormous master suite; this space is loaded with features and plenty of room. There are two separate walk-in closets, an extra room for a sitting area, and her closet won’t disappoint with the custom makeup vanity and a special drawer for “hot tools". The master bath is spacious, with 2 sinks, a marble shower, and plenty of lighting. All the windows sport automatic custom window treatments for instant privacy you can control from your phone or by remote. As you head downstairs, there is a space for everyone, no matter their interests. Another great room awaits with ample space, and this “man cave” is set up with immaculate custom distressed wood walls, polished and colored cement floors, an oversized walkout window/slider for excellent access to the entertaining area outside, a full wet bar with custom cabinetry and a stunning custom bar top made of walnut and resin that is just the cherry on top! Along one side, the massive safe room is ideal for extra storage or just that comfy room if or when a storm pops up. A full bathroom is complemented with more custom cabinetry, storage, and plenty of space. The massive craft room is sure to please any lady in your life looking for her own space and a place to allow creativity to flow; this space is vented and could easily be turned into a massive bedroom or even a game room. An additional bedroom with a large window and walk-in closet and another storage room tops off the basement. The home was built with longevity, ease of maintenance, and efficiency in mind… the home is completely handicap accessible, has a 3-zone dual fuel HVAC system, Anderson Windows, whole home Generac 22kw generator, composite decking on all the deck, “we boost” whole house cell phone booster, and more! The outside of the home is just as impressive as the inside. The massive deck surrounds over half of the house and is complete with lighting and custom railing. The composite custom deck is multi-level and comfortably gets you from top to bottom; the sun deck is complemented by a custom above-ground steel framed 12’X24’ pool complete with a Hayward heater. Topping it all off is the impressive acreage that surrounds you. This special tract of Ozarks land is tucked in the hills with impressive views and miles of ATV trails for endless fun. The wet weather creek is beautiful and soothing, and loaded with character. A full shooting range is in place and is just another way to get in touch with nature setting amongst your new tract of recreational fun. For the hunter in your life, deer, turkey, and bear roam these hills, and with ample clearings, benches, flats, draws, and pinch points, you have yourself a hunter’s dream. Finding all this is hard enough but finding all this within a short distance from Table Rock Lake, Branson, MO, Harrison, AR, and even Bull Shoals Lake is just a rarity. Dustin Hefner's house was hit pretty hard. He says he would have been celebrating two years in the home tomorrow, but now he's just grateful that he and his three other family members were not home when the storm came through.
"The back end of the house is gone. 90-percent of the roof is pretty gone and all but a few trees. But, it can all be replaced..so," said Hefner.
Hefner says he plans to report the damage to the insurance agencies to see what happens. But, for right now, he just wants to get his family to a place where they can get some rest and be safe -- because more severe storms are in the forecast.

When investigators arrived on the scene, they discovered it was the body of a man lying in a large pile of debris -- making it difficult to retrieve.
Boone County Sheriff Mike Moore talked to reporters about their continued efforts to give the family peace.
"We've contacted the family and allowed them to digest this new information," said Sheriff Moore, "Last night at 6:30 we met at the Boone County Office of Emergency Management where we had our Boone County search and rescue teams gather and restructure for an incident command to restart a search today...We'll continue tomorrow. We have cadeavor dogs also. As of today, or as of now we have not any new information. We've been unsuccessful in finding the other victim. Our plan is to continue the search tomorrow as long as weather allows. I know that rain is coming so that's going to hinder our search."
Sheriff Moore asked reporters to allow the family time to process and grieve this new information before attempting to contact them. He also said that many of the family members are helping them in the search for Amy, as well as many others from the community.
